31/05/2026: The service was very polite, the food was average, we order a pizza greca,and they brought us a Margherita with 6 olives on top.

21/05/2026: As a tourist who just had 4-5 doners in Germany, this by far beat them all. Pricing was so cheap they make the bread right in front of you so fresh and felt so healthy even the fries. 11€ for a giant doner, fries, and coke me and my friend came back 4 hours later for another lol def reccomend

13/06/2026: Fraud Alert! The owner is a petty thief who pulls illegal move on American customers. So I had two dishes, one terrible and the other mediocre. Beef tasted more like tofu. The texture was questionable. But the punch to my gut happened when the time came for me to pay. He brought his credit card payment device. I made my payment with apple pay expecting to get a print out of the payment from the machine. The owner instead takes the machine back to the register, returns with a printed receipt which did not have my credit card info. I didn't think much of it until I got an altert from Apple Pay saying I was charged not the 43 euros I was billed for, but for $52 and change, yes, in USD. That dirty move of charging a customer in foreign currency in Italy happens to be illegal and such move is considered by authorities as fraud. So basically I wound up paying the extra fee I didn't have to pay for had I been charged in euros. Shame on you, owner of Dragone Oriente!!! Petty thief! I will contact the Italian authority and report this SCAM pulled by Ristorante Cinese Dragone D-Oriente!!! I was told to be careful about pickpockets and scams while traveling in Italy by friends. I wound up having the best time of my life in Italy. People were great. So were the food and sceneries. The one time I do get scammed, yup, I do by a Chinese merchant who would do anything for 3 extra euros. Go figure! Ugh!!!

12/06/2026: Really good food and service. We ate there 3 times for a stay of 5 days in Venice. As a Chinese I would say this is authentic and legit. Way way better than the one near the st Lucia train station (Asia ristorante) which was super awful in terms of food and service. The staff at dragone d’orient are very helpful and warm. The food really warms the soul. Highly recommended!

23/04/2026: A wide selection of cicchetti at fair prices, friendly service, and the option to drink inside (no chairs) at the tables in the dining room. The wine is served in bottles, freshly poured.

18/04/2026: They don't accept groups of more than 4 people; it's the owner's rule. Rude and ungrateful. We were a group of 10 who just wanted to get a drink without making a fuss, and they turned us down. They don't deserve your money. Bye everyone!!

14/11/2025: According to Google Maps, the restaurant is open, but it's closed when I arrive. Very annoying! Why doesn't the owner update the opening hours online? 🤷

14/05/2026: A hidden gem! A family-run restaurant. Homemade dishes, all prepared in-house. Traditional Italian cuisine. Just like Nonna's! The homemade liqueur, made by the mother, was delicious... Excellent value for money. Warm and welcoming hosts.

02/05/2026: Around 6:30 PM, I called to order two takeout pizzas and was told, "No problem, come here when you're hungry and we'll make them for you." At 8:00 PM, we arrived and were told they couldn't make them for us because "uncle has improvised as a pizza chef, and if we'd sat down, we'd have waited a long time anyway," because they hadn't anticipated the influx of people. Now I ask myself: why guarantee something if you can't actually finish it? Let them immediately say no at that point...

10/05/2026: During our 3-night trip to Mestre, we found this establishment just steps from our hotel. The staff, service, and food were excellent, especially considering the affordable prices. I highly recommend it because the team remains attentive to customers even during busy periods.

29/03/2026: Old-school pub, soft lighting, solid wood tables, good background music, plenty of good beers, some of the best club sandwiches I've ever had, as well as the desserts, friendly staff, average prices. A must-see in Mestre.

07/06/2026: I've been coming here for years because there was a children's play area. Now it's gone, and there's no reason to come anymore. The pizza isn't bad, but the service is terrible, slow, and disorganized. The entrees arrive half an hour before the pizzas, and they forget to bring bread. The wait is over an hour.

28/05/2026: Update after 2 years. Still the best Linguine Al nero di seppia in Venice. 3 nights in a row my daughter didn't have anything else and tried it in 4 other restaurants. Nice little restaurant with great food, atmosphere and service. A little bit from the center in the best part of Venice.

26/05/2026: The food was way too expensive and it wasn't even tasty. I had the tortellini riccota e spinachi and it was the worst I've ever had. The sauce was watery and the inside tasted more like matcha. My friends had better experience with food. The seafood meals there are really good.
