28/09/2024: Nice modern environment. Ate some good fresh fish. For the first course, courgettes, prawns and scallops, to my taste the tagliatelle moved better than the fettuccine. Nice average price. Advised

03/11/2024: An excellent location for a different meal than usual, the cichetteria is a typical Venetian dish. The food is in mini portions so you can taste more things and appreciate the genuine flavors of the area. We tasted the summer menu and also the autumn menu: EXCELLENT!! Highly recommended.

10/04/2025: Siamo clienti da molti anni, tappa fissa per da ogni partenza o ritorno dall’aeroporto di Venezia. Anche oggi ci fermiamo per mangiare la solita buonissima pasta allo scoglio. Ci servono la pasta, all’improvviso cosa troviamo in uno dei due piatti? Un bel sasso (grandezza di una noce). Abbiamo avvisato subito la cameriera per informarla della questione, che prontamente con gentilezza è intervenuta ed ha avvisato la titolare. Ci dirigiamo alla cassa e facciamo presente nuovamente alla titolare, la quale con aria di supponenza ci dice “..beh ma è lavato e disinfettato”. Ricordo : un sasso grande come una noce. Poco mi importa se è lavata e disinfettata, è un sasso dentro un piatto di pasta allo scoglio! Non siamo le persone che si aspettano qualcosa, ma sicuramente un gesto di gentilezza per scusare “il piccolo inconveniente” ce lo aspettavamo proprio.

02/04/2025: Stopped for lunch at this brilliant restaurant after cycling from Treviso and could not have been more pleasantly surprised. The set lunch menu is ridiculously good value at 13 Euro for two plentiful, tasty courses plus a side, wine, bottled water and coffee. The staff were friendly and efficient and the place was buzzing with locals taking advantage of everything on offer. Fabulous and non vedo l'ora di tornare! 😍

31/03/2025: Our concierge from the Radisson Palazzo Nani, recommended and made a reservation at Officina Ormesini for my daughter’s and me for our first night in Venice. It was a short walk from our hotel. The restaurant is charming, with an enormous wine selection. From the moment we arrived, our waiter, Sergio, made us feel welcome with his warm and friendly demeanor. His knowledge of the menu was impeccable and his wine recommendations were spot on. The food did not disappoint—every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. You could taste the quality of the ingredients and the care that went into the cooking. We shared the cacio e Pepe and their special of the night, a sea bass and vegetables beautifully prepared and expertly served table side by our waiter. During our conversation with Sergio, he casually mentioned that most visitors do comeback to the restaurant. We did! And we are so grateful that they could accommodate our last minute reservation request! The food is that good! We highly recommend Officina Ormesini, not only for it’s excellent food and wine but also for their top tier service.

28/01/2025: Excellent food, good open wine at an outstanding price-performance ratio. The only point of criticism is the smoking and whether you disturb other restaurant guests while eating... my advice would be to remove the ashtrays from the tables in the covered awning area and place them outside.

15/03/2025: I got tired. It's the third time it's happened to me. The first two times I came to tell you politely. Enough now. I post the photos so everyone can see what pizzas are being baked. I would like to point out for the owners who are reading this review that since there is no longer the owner in Oriago to manage the oven, the pizzas all come out burnt. I've always taken them from you, but after this time I won't take them anymore. You have lost a customer. I hope for you that you will take action because if you continue like this I find it difficult... it will take years to create the circle you have created for yourself. However, it only takes a moment to lose everything.

30/03/2025: Great little place off the beaten track, where you can enjoy typical Venetian dishes (I had seafood but they also make great pizzas) without spending a fortune! But above all, the staff is friendly and easy-going: I booked 5 minutes in advance due to a problem with another restaurant and after less than half an hour I was at dinner!

10/10/2024: I don't understand at all where these positive opinions come from, probably by people who haven't tried Italian food before, but to the point. I ordered Lasagna, it was a total failure. When it was served to the table, it looked strange for a long time. I didn't have to wonder why the owners wanted to save money and forgot to ADD MEAT! Shame ! You are giving yourselves bad reviews, trying to cheat customers. I haven't eaten such good food in a long time!!!

11/04/2025: The atmosphere here is great. Live music is good, drinks are good, service was just a little less. Could also have something to do with the volume of the music, it was difficult to hear each other.

10/04/2025: We often come for lunch: very good sandwiches and tasty and plentiful carbonara. Waiters always very kind and friendly. Recommended without a doubt!

09/04/2025: Clean rooms - very polite service - location very cozy, friendly and pleasant- nice short walk to the bus station. Food - one of the finest restoran in the area - it was worthy to drive from Croatia just to taste great cuisine - certainly I am coming back to taste it all from their Menu. Dario is top chef and host.

09/04/2025: FOOD OFF THE CHARTS AMAZING! Ignore the negative reviews. They are not true. This place has THE best food we ate in all of our time in Venice. Dario is a very accommodating host. All of the waitresses were so attentive and kind. Our rooms albeit a bit small were clean, comfortable and so, so cute! The common area is adorable and useful. They leave us little cakes and fruit for breakfast with coffee, Tea and fresh water. All in all, our stay was so nice! Definitely would return just for the food if nothing else.
