Being on holiday in Assisi and looking for a supposedly good restaurant on the Michelin guide we came across this establishment booked through them.
We are a family made up of two adults and two children aged 5 and 6 who are used weekly to refined restaurants (even with three Michelin stars) where we have always been welcome; we meet at 9.15pm in the open Umbrian countryside in this restaurant belonging to a hotel; As soon as we arrived a young lady welcomed us and then a waiter who specified that the complex is adults only so we were not welcome.
I want to specify that neither the Michelin guide nor TheFork specifies this choice; obviously I reported everything to these two platforms about the incident!
I find it truly shameful that in 2024 there are still structures with this discriminatory policy for no reason and I hope they all end up the same as the sour and old clientele they vainly boast about.
15/06/2024: The amazing view was only matched by the amazing food and service. Really glad we booked here. Only issue was it set a high bar for the rest of the trip.

07/08/2024: We chose this place based on its very welcoming aesthetic appearance and in a nice location. The first course was edible, (pasta with wild boar ragù)
For second we ordered the crispy suckling pig. When the dish arrived, we noticed how small the portion was, 6 cubes of frozen pork and not at all crunchy, with black cherries on top, something not listed on the menu, and very disgusting for us, it felt like we were eating pork ice cream.
Very high price.
Goodbye.
04/08/2024: Food and drinks were ok. Price at the end was a rip off. 40 euros for platter 2 beers and two soft drinks. Pay attention.

Good food but very slow preparation times.
Rude and disorganized staff.
The last time I was there with some friends of mine they kicked us out in a rude way saying that he had to clean and tidy up when he was the only one there and among other things he was also on the phone talking about personal matters with friends and then he also spoke badly of us who entered without asking permission when the restaurant was clearly open as said by this same application.

26/08/2024: Aesthetically nice place but absolutely disappointing. Distracted and irreverent organization. We took 2 cones (€3 each for a single flavour), they were served to us and "kindly" made us sit at the cash register where, however, there was no one. After waiting for a while we pointed it out to the person who had served us and a gentleman who we thought was a customer with a "firm and rude" tone pointed out to us that he was busy with a customer. Too bad he was chatting about this and that and not serving. We made a sign to sit down to eat the ice cream as it was 2pm and it was more than 35 degrees outside. He told us just as decisively that we couldn't because we would have had to take the ice cream cup to have the right to sit down even if there was no other. Never seen anything like it. Once I left I read the receipt which showed almost half the price paid. The Franciscan spirit does not belong to you at all.
25/08/2024: Prezzo del servizio al tavolo veramente eccessivo! Granita fatta con lo sciroppo troppo dolce e stucchevole. Sarebbe buona cosa comunicare in anticipo il costo dei prodotti al tavolo anziché trovare l'amara sorpresa al pagamento

19/08/2024: The disgusting thing, we sat down for lunch at 1.10pm and ordered it and while everyone who arrived after us ate nothing, after TWO HOURS only the beauty of TWO COURSES arrived. We go to the cashier saying this and that we would be leaving. We were charged for the two dishes received at the à la carte price and for the Aqua. €20 and we ate two courses that were worth less than €5! In all this very rude and annoyed!
05/08/2024: Very nice welcoming place, but service a little abrupt sushi very different from the photos too much rice and very hard very chewy nigiri
Some very good things but the photos as I said are very different from reality and I should say that the delivery of the sushi is also quite fast
I wouldn't go back for lunch as there was very little food but I might think about it for dinner
Ps: the cover charge is a bit expensive....

02/08/2024: Un angolo di Napoli in Umbria. Ottima scelta di pizze in linea con la tradizione Partenopea. Ottimi gli ingredienti, simpatica e gustosa la Pizza col cornicione ripieno di ricotta. Ho trovato il servizio piuttosto lento, c'ero già stato qualche mese prime e ricordo che ai tavoli c'era una simpatica e svelta signorina molto efficiente.
12/05/2024: Ho chiesto una Margherita con doppia mozzarella di bufala da asporto. Ho speso 13 euro per una pizza bruciata completamente. Sia i bordi che la parte centrale erano bruciati . Il gusto faceva schifo e la mozzarella di bufala non era cotta , bella squagliata, ma tagliata a pezzi e buttati li' in mezzo. Per questa ciofega ho speso 13 euro e sono andata anche a prenderla. Voto 1 .

Pagato: extra bevande (calcolate che a cena abbiamo preso 1 bottiglia d'acqua solo €2,50 dal menù) ed imposta di soggiorno (hotel è a 2 stelle, attenzione: 1€ a notte a persona! Art.4 tariffe regolamento Comune di Todi) =Le spese in dettaglio non le rilasciano, consiglio di chiederle! Chiesto tot.13,00 ed in verità dovevo €6,50.Non mi è piaciuto!
Camere troppo spartane, bagno mal odorante privo di finestra. E Mancanza di pulizia giornaliera. Da migliorare parecchie cose..! Cucina buona a conduzione familiare con Bella vista panoramica.Dista 6 min d' auto a Todi.E 45 Min. per Perugia centro.
11/03/2024: Abbiamo pernottato per due notti. Allora stanza un po' sporca ( un piccolo scarafaggio morto), un po' di polvere e il bagno davvero sporco. Peli pubici nel manico della doccia, e la tazza del water sporca. Posizione, niente di eccezionale. Perché per arrivarci la strada è piena di buche. Colazione semplice, cappuccino un po' acquoso, le tortine ni, sicuramente saranno di supermercato. Cena un po' deludente, i crostini molto buoni con una crema di legumi. Le trofie ni, secondo me il guanciale era bruciato perché il, sapore sapeva di amaro ma molto amaro. Carne deludente, senza sapore e con tanto ma tanto grasso ( vengo dalla montagna, so benissimo come si mangia la carne e la qualità). Scoperto grazie ad un smartbox. Forse eravamo fuori stagione perché leggendo le altre recensioni, o siamo stati sfortunati noi o non saprei.

12/07/2024: Place to avoid, run by rude people who are unsuitable for doing this job. The pizza isn't bad either and the prices are decent but they completely lack manners.
Some time ago I spent 15 minutes in the restaurant waiting for the pizzas previously ordered on the phone, hearing an exaggerated amount of swear words said very loudly, I don't consider myself a bigoted person but it's not the way to behave with waiting customers.
Another time I ordered pizzas and 3 portions of chips for delivery, I was told that 2 portions were free but upon delivery, which occurred 40 (!!!) minutes late, I only received one portion. When we reached them on the phone to point out what had happened, I didn't want them to report them to me but I think it's right to point out the errors, we were told "ah if you necessarily want to start a controversy at this time (22nd)..."
Place to avoid until the owners do something to reduce the constant waiting and the shameful behavior of some people who work there.
