10/05/2026: Beautiful setting, but the rest leaves much to be desired. Of course, when the waiter came to clear the table, he asked how it went. I answered, but perhaps because of the confusion, he didn't hear, even though we were close together. Look, I ordered the crostini: the one with burrata and anchovy in pesto sauce had no pesto at all; just looking at it, it looked like an anchovy just taken from a jar and put there, with a little transparent oil dripping from it. The one with the pâté left me quite indifferent, while the one with lard was so lukewarm that not even the slice of lard was warmed up. As for the pizza, it seemed a bit undercooked, since it was practically re-kneading the crust. We also ordered fries. I was expecting something more generous, not a half-full dessert bowl per portion. I wasn't expecting such a meal after entering such a refined place. We waited a bit both for our order to be taken and for the order to be shipped—basically an hour from when we sat down to when the first food arrived. But I think that was because we arrived in the middle of service, at 8:30.

26/12/2025: I had a great time. I had the gnocchi with a saffron sauce and the Chiusdino sausage. It was delicious. The atmosphere was calm and very friendly. I don't understand what people are complaining about. And the prices were fair. I'll be back for an aperitivo. 😉

05/11/2025: Cleanliness, hospitality, and quality = professionalism A key ingredient for success. Stefania is a winner and has a very capable manager. What could be improved? The male staff lack empathy for the environment they work in: cold, never smiling, and lacking vivacity. The baristas' attire needs attention. The outside area is a bit cold, in my opinion. I don't remember if it's there, but the door leading to the back of the lab should be closed. I was distracted by Stefania's eyes and smile.

02/06/2026: On the recommendation of the hotel where we stayed, we decided to have dinner at Frantoio. I was delighted by the staff's kindness until we ordered the famous tortelli with butter and sage ragù, with so much cinnamon that it covered all the remaining flavor. I understand it may be a local dish, but it's good manners to include cinnamon, because as a Roman, if I bring a carbonara or a gricia to the table, I don't bring it with porcini mushrooms. My girlfriend had a stomach ache and is now locked in the bathroom with fennel tea, something not even Kubrick would make like this. That said, the waitress assured me she hadn't added it to the bill and had removed it, but the fact remains that it is there, with a discount of what? €7??? Making me pay €12 anyway. As a restaurant lover, I'm used to leaving waiters tips of €10-15, and honestly, I feel more than a little bit taken for a ride. Never again, because I'm not saying the customer is always right, for goodness sake, but I'm not even going to make fun of them like this. There's always room for improvement, after all. 06/04/2026: I'll start by saying it's a two-star hotel, so I don't understand the negative reviews. Obviously, you shouldn't expect extra luxury. The property is dated, but it's located in a very quiet area with ample parking in front. It also has a restaurant/pizzeria. Across the street is a seafood restaurant, a bar, a pizzeria, a church, and water dispensers for refilling bottles. The hotel rooms aren't very large; they don't have a bidet, but they do have a TV and a shower (well, I'd change the showers if I were them), and some have a balcony. Breakfast is basic: croissants, a tart or two, and yogurt, but again, it's not a five-star hotel, and for the price I paid, I wasn't expecting a continental breakfast. The lady at the bar in the morning was very kind and friendly. I really enjoyed having breakfast outside because the weather permitted. Otherwise, you have to eat inside in front of the reception, with a very loud noise coming from the refrigerator. One evening we had dinner at their restaurant and had a good meal. It was very busy, so I think it's well-known in the area. In short, if your goal is to stay overnight and then go around Capalbio, Orbetello, Monte Argentario, etc., this is a nice place in a nice location.
