10/02/2026: Excellent gluten-free pizza, but the restaurant's seafood menu is also worth trying, with fresh, generous dishes and gluten-free options. Prices may be a bit high, but the quality is top-notch, as is the wine list. Impeccable service in an elegant setting, both in the winter and on the summer terrace.

29/09/2025: The atmosphere is very refined, with comfortable and impressive rectangular tables for eight. The fish and pizzas are very good. Highly recommended.

18/09/2025: The food was very good, no doubt about it. However, I still don't understand why, despite having made a reservation and having at least four free tables (two of which were later filled by people without reservations), we had to wait 15 minutes for a table with other diners still chatting. No offense, but the service needs to be significantly improved.

27/01/2026: Mokarta – an evening to remember 🌙🇮🇹 We went there in the evening, and I've rarely eaten such a good pizza: crispy crust, perfectly topped with ingredients, and simply spot on. It was paired with an excellent red wine that rounded it all off perfectly. The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and relaxed – just right for winding down the day. The service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being intrusive. A place you'll return to not just for the pizza, but for the whole feeling of the evening. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back! 🍕🍷✨

16/03/2026: While the product quality is always satisfactory, I'm not entirely satisfied with the service at the counter, which is rather cold, especially from one of the counter staff. Another unacceptable flaw (although I think it's a personal choice) is the lack of a small pastry shop.

16/12/2025: The Riva Smeralda location is truly beautiful and evocative: overlooking the sea, with an atmosphere that promises a pleasant and relaxing evening. Unfortunately, however, the quality of the food didn't quite meet expectations. There were 15 of us, and we all ordered pizza: mediocre dough, with toppings placed haphazardly and carelessly, truly disappointing. The service, if anything, was even worse: the waiters were rushed, giving you the constant feeling that they just wanted to take your plate away and vacate the table as quickly as possible. A real shame, because the location has enormous potential, but considering the (very high) prices, the overall experience was disappointing. I reiterate a fundamental point: exorbitant prices.

16/10/2025: I don't think there's a more beautiful place than this. The 5 stars are only for the location; everything else provides an excellent backdrop for this stunning view.

22/10/2025: A really cute and welcoming place, close to the cable car and the steps to the beach. The place offers several daily specials. We had spaghetti carbonara and gnocchi with tomato sauce.

10/01/2026: The brioche col gelato here is, more precisely, gelato in a brioche! A sublime taste experience, with quality products and plenty of them. The staff is super friendly and kind. How someone treats you depends on you! Be kind if you want to be kind. Enjoy!

08/01/2026: Coffee and an excellent cannoli at the counter for €3.50...a fair price, and an excellent cannoli by Messina standards, which aren't exactly high for superlative cannoli! The pastry shop isn't the most beautiful, but it offers friendly service and quality at more than fair prices, unlike other cheap places in the area with exorbitant prices for much lower quality! Congratulations...

05/10/2025: For the owner alone this restaurant is worth a visit. Such a lovely and engaging man, who spoke Italian, English and German with us. The food is delicious and though on the pricier side, portion size and quality justify it. We had the best seafood noodles here. (Sadly I only have a photo of the empty shells)

08/02/2026: My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week last summer. The hotel itself is fine, but the problem was that on one of our last days, I hadn't brought my AirPods in their case to the beach; they were on a cabinet among other things. When we got back, they were gone! We knew the cleaning staff came every day and immediately wondered what was going on and if the cleaners were the only ones entering our room. I was 100% sure I'd put them on the cabinet and they were gone, so I went to the front desk and told them my AirPods had probably been taken by the cleaning lady. She acted nonchalantly as if this wasn't a big deal. There was a very strange atmosphere, as if she knew about it. She said she'd check and came back with my AirPods. She told me they'd probably accidentally fallen onto the cleaning cart. Of all the items, the expensive earbuds were the only ones that "fell off the table into the cart." Do you really believe that? No "sorry for the inconvenience, ma'am," or anything like that. She acted as if it was perfectly normal, so I think she simply knew about it. I told her I found it very strange, but she brushed it off with a comment like, "That kind of thing happens." It's unacceptable that someone tried to steal my AirPods and got away with it by claiming they were taken by accident! Absolutely ridiculous. And all this while we'd paid €10 for the cleaning lady that morning. We were here from August 4th to 11th of last year and forgot to write a review about it right away, but it still bothered me so much that I'm doing it now.

28/01/2026: This hotel is definitely outdated, this isn’t an issue for myself but I’ll be for others. Service is great and staff are very helpful. The bar attached was frequently visited for coffee and lunch. A minutes walk to both the beach and cable car which was very convenient. I would definitely recommend but if the aesthetics through you off then maybe not the hotel for you.
