01/07/2025: A location that few places are lucky enough to have. All accompanied by a good bottle of wine but above all by the best pizza in Milazzo. Professional pizza chef, who makes his enthusiasm and passion felt among the tables of the emerald shore. I strongly recommend you try it and don't let anyone tell you about the experience.

03/06/2025: Approfittando del weekend, con amici ci siamo recati a Lipari. Dopo una piacevole cena presso una struttura del luogo, decidiamo di concludere la serata con un drink. Attratti dalle ottime recensioni scegliamo il Caffè La Vela che si rivela una pena!! Due dei miei amici prendono un Negroni, il più coraggioso si ostina a berlo fino alla fine, mentre l'altro dopo due sorsi abbandona l’impresa passando all’acqua minerale! La mia amica prende una coca cola zero (ma oltre ad essere zero zuccheri, era anche zero gas!!!). Era degassata come un palloncino ad elio ormai in fase terminale. Io mi azzardo ad ordinare un Long Island, sapeva di coca cola annacquata con elevato tenore di acido citrico. Ho ancora la gola anestetizzata, più che un drink sembrava uno sciroppo antinfiammatorio. Alcool non pervenuto, boh, sarà ancora in fase di decantazione e degassazione per futuri cocktail da somministrare. Cosa ancor più grave, aver servito al tavolo la coca cola già aperta. Le regole base prevedono che le bibite vengano portate tappate o al limite aperte davanti al cliente. Pertanto desumo che era già degasata da tempi remoti. Per concludere, aggiungo, che il tavolo era talmente appiccicoso da miscugli consumati da clientela precedente, tanto che il mio amico e qualche zanzara estiva hanno rischiato di restare lì incollati al tavolo. Fortunatamente siamo riusciti a tornare a casa senza il tavolo dietro, ma sicuramente a non tornare più qui nelle prossime sere. Migliorate la qualità dei cocktail, costano, li paghiamo, non sono degli omaggi, ci piacerebbe gustarli, non nausearli.

15/06/2025: Very respectable location, restaurant made inside an old tuna factory. Excellent dishes, fresh raw materials and reasonably well cooked. I would have liked more attention in the first courses. Ridiculous quantity of wine by the glass, not correct. 06.14.2025 I returned and had an impeccable lunch. Excellent service, correct quantity of wine by the glass, first courses and appetizers cooked and presented very well. They deserve a few more stars and I correct myself.

25/05/2025: Disappointing experience and unacceptable service Our evening at this restaurant was unfortunately extremely disappointing. Despite a reservation for 10:00 pm, we were seated late and, after ordering at 10:15 pm, we only received two pizzas by the slice at around 11:15 pm. After realizing that the quantities were insufficient for our group, we asked to add another course, but we were informed that the kitchen was now closed. Result: after more than an hour and twenty minutes of waiting, eight people had to leave the table practically fasting. To make the experience even worse, the attempt to speak to a manager proved useless, as the person we spoke to showed no intention of apologizing for the poor service suffered. An experience that unfortunately we do not recommend and that we hope will be an exception, although the management of the evening leaves strong doubts in this regard.

30/06/2025: We had an unpleasant experience at this restaurant, mainly due to the owner’s behavior. He was openly rude—not just to us, but to other guests as well. When we arrived, no one greeted or guided us, so after waiting a couple of minutes, we sat at an available table. Moments later, the owner came over shouting, telling us we weren’t allowed to sit there because it was reserved—even though the restaurant was empty at the time. He also scolded us for not coming to him first to “say hello” which, frankly, seems backwards—shouldn’t the owner greet the guests? Shortly after, another family experienced the exact same treatment: they were seated by a waitress, then publicly berated by the owner for sitting at a “wrong” table. They ended up leaving. After that he started shouting at the staff as well. The food itself was mediocre, and the prices on the bill didn’t match the menu. Between the chaotic service and the owner’s aggressive attitude, I strongly recommend avoiding this place.

21/06/2025: The octopus as an appetizer was excellent, the Aeolian pasta was decent, but the dessert was a shame! The cannolo was definitely not fresh, the wafer was soft and stale, the filling was acidic, it ruined all the flavors built in the previous courses. After one bite we left it aside

12/04/2025: Order placed via moov Eat at 4pm and I reiterate 4pm, requesting a delivery at 9pm. They had the barbaric courage to tell the rider that there was a lot of work and they didn't deliver the focaccia by the scheduled time to the boy in charge of delivery. I could understand an order placed at 8.00 pm, but it is not plausible to treat orders placed online in this way, evidently to favor those who arrive on site at 9.00 pm. The focaccia had already been paid for anyway.

11/01/2025: A historic bakery. The focaccia, the bread, the flatbreads, in short everything, are excellent. Absolutely try the "Sikelia"

04/05/2025: Decent food, modest prices considering the menu and pastas from €8 per dish. Excellent service, card payment accepted.

14/06/2025: The best pizza I've eaten in a long time. Delicious airy dough, very large size and delicious toppings. Really what you're looking for in a pizza. In addition, it was also cozy sitting and good service. Definitely recommended!

12/04/2025: Really delicious pizza, cooked just right, excellent quality ingredients and really delicious flavour, the staff is quite qualified and very kind, I recommend it to anyone who wants to eat a delicious pizza. Excellent 100++++++++++

05/06/2025: Desserts below average, often stale, you can tell by the cream with the crepes, it happens when they have been there for a while. The male staff is incredibly rude, especially the gentleman at the cash register, I think the owner, rude and changes the prices (in fact they are not displayed, probably for this reason) based on the customer, if a tourist he is fooled. Messina certainly offers better, for the quality of the products, education and correctness.

24/04/2025: Horrible, je ne recommande pas, j'ai reçu un pain avec une vieille tranche de jambon et de de salade. La photo sur le menu n'a rien à voir avec la réalité. Très déçu.

25/06/2025: We were greeted by a very helpful and friendly gentleman at Reception who automatically gave us a map of the area and circled various places of interest. He wrote down times of opening/closing and costs. Unfortunately, we were given a room in a separate part of main Hotel where we had to take the lift to the 5th flr . Come out onto the rooftop walk down a metal staircase and then we were faced with exactly 💯 stairs to climb to our room (each way!!!) Considering our ages my partner being 71 and awaiting a knee replacement. I was a little shocked to say the least. When we got to our (very basic but clean) room, there were no tea/coffee facilities, no mini fridge and the shower was not a walk in one but one where you had to climb into a bath. Which wasn't easy for my partner. When I questioned re: fridge i was told they had been taken out of all the rooms this year!! Not good in 36-38 deg temps On a plus the views were amazing and all staff friendly and helpful(although no other rooms were available). Struggled and had to plan every day as we were climbing approx. 600 steps per day as well as all the walking we did

18/06/2025: Unfortunately, you're only paying for the location here. The hotel itself is dated, but the rooms are clean. The breakfast starts to get old after the first day; it was nothing special, unfortunately. You can either spend more money in Taormina for one of the higher-quality accommodations, or look for somewhere outside the city and drive there for a day. Restaurants nearby are also quite expensive, whereas you can find cheaper options in Taormina itself.
