The waiter speaks poor English and doesn’t let you sit at the table you like and is in the shade because there are only two of you. You couldn't pay by card, only cash. The only thing that was adequate was the lasagna

26/10/2024: “This is a restaurant, not a bar.” We stopped by (very) early in the evening and thought the outdoor seating looked like a great place to stop and have a bottle of wine, especially since there were many open tables. The hostess was standing nearby smoking - didn’t greet us, just stared as we awkwardly asked for a table (to the point where we weren’t sure if she worked there or was just a random person smoking in the alley). She replied, “this is a restaurant, not a bar.” Just totally rude for no reason, and now I see in the reviews I am not the only one to have been hit with this line from her. Literally the only place that we went to in Taormina where we had a negative experience. Everywhere else was super friendly and accommodating.

I wanted to tell a gentleman with the name PIPUS that the products are made daily...unfortunately they are put in the window after they get cold. Every customer is always asked if they want the product heated or at room temperature. They deserve 10th praise

24/01/2025: Excellent location, I had pasta for my lunch break. Huge and abundant dishes. Menu offering both fish and meat variations. Room with many seats. Both lunch and dinner. Personally I was undecided between seafood carbonara and pasta with breadcrumbs and sardines. In the end I got the latter, I'll try the carbonara next time. Very good chef, friendly dining room staff. Fair prices. I would stay here again and recommend

Having a good dinner and a nice evening is the goal that everyone tries to aim for when they go out, in this place there is the possibility of satisfying these needs. There is great service and the staff are friendly and efficient. There is a varied and vast variety of choices for dinner and above all there is quality! This place is also suitable for those who aim to spend little, because there is an excellent quality-price ratio and all the comforts you need. So I recommend this place. 03/09/2024: I don't usually give low ratings because I'm always respectful of people's work, but this time I have to. We arrive at 7.50pm on a Tuesday evening, there are seven of us, we decide to sit down and eat a sandwich, we are greeted by a lady who tells us that since they are limited with space and seats she cannot join two tables and that if we want we have to sit at a table that seats six. We were disappointed because, as you can see in the photo, THERE WAS NO ONE, so we left. Heartfelt congratulations to the management, it means they don't need to work, good for them.

20/03/2025: Fuimos por recomendación de nuestro casero, entendemos que la baja disponibilidad de un restaurante en temporada baja en Stromboli, podía tener un sobreprecio. Pero compartimos una cerveza, un plato de gambas a la plancha que estuvo rico 6/10. (24 euros) Luego pescado local, sólo a la plancha, una lechuga de ensalada sin más que si aderezo (44 euros) Sin postre, sin vino. Pagamos unos desproporcionados 80 euros. Vimos como a italianos cobraba por más platos con vino menos dinero. Es muy decepcionante sentir que te engañan. We went on the recommendation of our host; we understand that the low availability of a restaurant during the low season in Stromboli could lead to a premium price. But we shared a beer (yes just 1) and a plate of grilled shrimp, which was correct not great (24 euros). Then we had local fish, grilled only (not a premium fish) and a lettuce salad with nothing more than the dressing (44 euros). No dessert, no wine. We paid an unreasonable 80 euros. We saw how Italians were charged less, for more dishes with wine. It's very disappointing to feel cheated.

15/03/2025: Zurro è un padrone di casa fantastico: simpatico, raccontastorie, una vera istituzione stromboliana... Il cibo è molto buono e cucinato bene... Il posto è familiare ed accogliente... Ma assolutamente chiedete prima i prezzi, scritti su un menù, perchè se fate fare a lui vi ammazza con i prezzi !!! (e non per mangiare ostriche e bere Champagne !!!)

25/03/2025: High prices for fairly common dishes and on Saturdays they don't get meal vouchers but you only find out when you get to the cashier. At dinner, however, they don't get them at all as if one didn't finish work at dinner time.

24/03/2025: Nice, new and welcoming place. Friendly, helpful and professional staff. Excellent food and very efficient service. We had dinner on Sunday evening and returned the next day for lunch. I highly recommend it to anyone who is in Messina for business or leisure.

24/02/2025: Hi, as I noticed, season 2024, I'm going to the Vulcano Island on July 13th, calling the Forgia restaurant, telling me that the business would be ready. Chex, hosting me instead, the owner tells me after taking the phone call that the Forgia had moved, but in reality it wasn't like that. He hosted me in another place, calling himself a joke for the customers. Greetings.

24/02/2025: Abbiamo chiamato la scorsa estate su un numero di cellulare per prenotare e Maurizio ci dice che ha cambiato locale, quando arriviamo il personale ci dice che si Maurizio e li ma è un cameriere e che il suo locale è stato chiuso nel 2023. Capisco che sia difficile chiudere un attività dopo tanti anni ma non capisco perché comportarsi in maniera così scorretta. La Forgia non esiste più.
