Here, the iced coffee with puffed almond milk is a small work of art: delicious, balanced, refreshing, served with care and a smile. Sitting down, gazing at the sea, and surrendering to the tranquility of the place is part of the experience. A perfect spot for those seeking peace and quiet and a moment of true relaxation.

15/08/2026: Only 5 stars. In our experience, it's 5+ stars. The atmosphere and food are top-notch, and you're spending the right amount. The staff is knowledgeable, kind, friendly, polite, and pleasant. Always smiling and ready to accommodate every need. Alessandro is the added bonus. We've been here twice on vacation, and if we return to Salento, it'll definitely be a regular stop. PS: Real, locally sourced, organic food. You can eat well in a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere away from the chaos of Otranto's city center, and you're spending the right amount. The cuisine is fantastic.

04/07/2026: Great bakery for beach. They bake amazing products, prices are also cheaper than other bakeries around. Also the Italian lady inside is very helpful & warm person. 100% recommended

16/06/2026: For my main course, I ordered spaghettoni with Negroamaro wine (a red wine from Puglia), tuna, and caramelized tomato. For dessert, I had milk chocolate ice cream with poached pear and lemon crumble, and a crunchy chocolate semifreddo with caramelized orange. To accompany it, I chose a rosé di Primitivo from the San Marzano winery. Everything was wonderful, and the service was excellent. The place has a beautiful view of the sea in Otranto, and the background music perfectly complements the relaxed, beachy atmosphere.

11/06/2026: Worst meal in the whole trip. I’ve ordered the seafood skillet and at first they brought the skilled with two baby langoustines and around five small fishes which when eating you’ll experience only the fish bones that you have to pick out and zero taste. After saying that the meal was supposed to include mussels, squid and shrimps they took it back brought the dish back submerged in watery sauce. The seafood seemed not fresh but rather out of freezer - the squid was just a gooey inedible mass. Overall the dish was flavourless and not worth 30 Euros. Giving it two stars as angus steak was ok. Service appointed as three starts because the wait for food in almost empty restaurant was about an hour which is long for this type of meal and Italian speaking customers that arrived after us got their food faster.

21/08/2026: Dinner for two, a restaurant chosen because of the positive reviews and located in a central Otranto area that wasn't overly crowded and chaotic...unfortunately, however, our expectations were sorely disappointed. I gave one star for the appetizer, which seemed to have started the dinner off on the right foot. I had the cream of fava beans with sautéed chicory, accompanied by croutons. Although they were a bit hard and lacked the crunchiness one would expect, the overall dish was balanced and flavorful. My boyfriend opted for the fish menu, and the fish salad served as an appetizer satisfied him. Moving on to the first courses, the disappointment was not insignificant. My Sagne 'ncannulate was supposed to be with dried tomato pesto and ricotta from Otranto, but it actually turned out to be a simple, bland cherry tomato sauce (or tomato puree) soaked in oil that not even the flavorless ricotta could add that extra kick. My boyfriend's pasta all'Abisso di mare wasn't even pan-fried with bisque, as you'd expect from a fish-based pasta dish with a red sauce; again, it was a cherry tomato sauce that, once you'd removed the obviously frozen and rubbery fish pieces, had no flavor. The last dish on the fish menu, a fried fish dish, served after a long wait, was rubbery, and the calamari pieces weren't at all coated in crispy batter as they should be (I've attached a photo). Not even the service made up for the disappointment with the food. The staff was visibly distressed and poorly organized, rushed, and lacking in customer service. Out of five dishes served, we were only asked once if everything was okay. Unfortunately, attention to detail was completely lacking: a fish menu didn't even come with a hand towel, and—I'm also saddened by what we saw around us—a table near us was served a bottle of white wine without even a cooler to keep it chilled. We speak as people who work in the restaurant industry and know the hard work, but also the dedication, that goes into running a business like this. There are many things that need improvement to ensure an authentic Salento dinner. For us, this is an experience not to be repeated, especially given the poor quality-price ratio.

24/09/2025: Very good beer, decent focaccia, and a friendly atmosphere that could be improved. It's okay for a quick aperitif... but the price is a bit high for two small slices of focaccia and two take-out beers. They could do better.

20/08/2026: Very nice place, super efficient and helpful staff (ready for the Olympics given the miles we covered in the short time we were there), delicious food. We had an octopus sandwich, a shrimp sandwich, and the lobster roll. We had high expectations for the lobster, having eaten it in Portland and Boston. The sandwich was superb, we ordered seconds. Damiano was a true professional, putting on gloves in front of us and helping us de-bone the lobster. Everyone was great, highly recommended. Vincenzo, Daniela, and Aldo

20/08/2026: There's no Otranto without Sofish. In the beating heart of a vibrant and sunny Otranto, Sofish is a gem everyone should try. In dining, as in life, hospitality is everything. In a small, beautifully decorated and harmonious street, Francesco and Anita welcome you as if you were old and dear friends; the food, made from excellent ingredients, almost takes a back seat. The entire staff is smiling, attentive, and cheerful. A must-see if you want to say you've been to Otranto.
