31/12/2025: The atmosphere is charming, thanks to Lele and his staff. A window onto the sea, everything beautiful and delicious! The wines are of a certain "medium-high" quality, highly recommended.

07/10/2025: Fresh and creative Italian cuisine at reasonable prices. The sea bream carpaccio was very fresh, and the fish and olive oil were perfectly matched. The tortellini with cod and bacon was simply outstanding. An extensive wine list with bottled wines rounds out the offerings. We had a 2005 Pouilly Fume for €47 a bottle; a very good choice! The focaccia and bread were also very aromatic and crispy! A truly worthwhile highlight for this somewhat unusual setting.

03/01/2026: Small but very quaint and tastefully decorated, except for the painting. The bench needs updating: it slides on the floor. The bathroom is small but well-maintained. The place is a bit cold. The food is the same as at all the other bars.

27/10/2025: We stumbled upon this place by accident because we had a breakfast voucher from our host. It's a very atmospheric place. Good coffee and crosswords. Friendly service, I recommend it!

11/03/2026: I went with some friends for the 883 cover band. Everything went smoothly, no problems. I ordered a special sandwich, a 3.5-liter beer (for everyone), and various chips to nibble on. The sandwich wasn't a wow factor, but it was good. The service was impeccable, although at times we had the impression that the waiter had served customers who had come in after us. The wait was pleasant due to the atmosphere. I'm not from Corato, but I would definitely visit again and take advantage of hearing other band conversations. Recommended

03/03/2026: I rarely leave negative reviews, but what happened today at Antica Pasticceria Portoghese was honestly shocking. I was served a pasticciotto that contained visible mold. Not a small imperfection — actual mold inside the pastry. This is not a minor mistake; it is a serious food safety issue and extremely concerning. What made the situation even worse was the reaction of the staff. The employee did not apologize, did not seem surprised, and behaved as if this were something completely normal. Instead of acknowledging the gravity of serving spoiled food, he simply offered to give me another pasticciotto of a different flavor. This is unacceptable. When a customer finds mold in a product, the only appropriate response is immediate apology, concern, and accountability — not indifference. The attached photos clearly show what I found inside the pastry. An episode like this is not just disappointing; it is alarming. Food hygiene should never be taken lightly. I strongly advise others to avoid this place.

04/01/2026: The service was so fast that we couldn't fully appreciate what we were eating (perhaps because we were the first ones). The staff was very polite and helpful. The menu was extensive and varied. The quality of the fish was fantastic, but there were several changes I would make: the gunkan we ordered, for example, were way too big and had too much Philadelphia, which prevented the flavor of the fish from being fully appreciated. The octopus balls (takoyaki) and the salmon and tuna carpaccio were highly recommended. As for the first courses, they're not their signature dish. We ordered: the Cantonese rice was very good, the soy noodles were good, but I would have added more vegetables. However, the beef ramen was definitely not to be ordered. It was truly inedible; when you picked up a piece of meat, it felt like you were eating a dog. The broth was flavorless, the vegetables were bland, and the egg tasted like chemicals. The ravioli dough was too thick, and the meat inside wasn't particularly good. Unfortunately, we didn't get to get the rolls.

25/12/2025: A lovely surprise! Excellent location, good impression of cleanliness and organization. The ingredients are top-notch and expertly crafted to enhance their presentation and flavor. I would recommend the grilled ravioli, the prosciutto, the mochi, and the rose grappa above all else! We'll definitely be back! Congratulations...among the best ayce restaurants in Bari.

21/09/2025: What a wonderful restaurant! We were there on a Sunday, and it's a good thing we made a reservation. We showed up and there were no other seats available! This place is popular with locals, and that's a sure sign 👍🏻 We loved everything. Delicious and hearty! We had appetizers, pasta, and dessert. It was definitely enough to fill us up. We left very full 😅 Thank you so much! We'll be happy to come back again! And there are also amazing animals living there, including a gentle dog named Othello 🥰

23/02/2026: We went for a quick lunch at this place we found on Google. There were two of us and we were craving meat; so we stopped, especially since in February, in Polignano, almost everything is closed for the winter season! So, it was a forced choice! The experience was unsatisfactory: semi-raw burger, cooked only on the outside; the cost of the sandwich + fries + drink combo is nothing more than the sum of the individual items €12!! After biting into the sandwich, at the first bite we asked for the courtesy of cooking it: the owner, without objecting, replied that since it is fresh veal, it could also be eaten rare: I could even agree, but unless it is a specific request from the customer, the burger is cooked right through! In fact, I was slightly disgusted! Napkins nonexistent, both at the tables and in the restaurant! Apparently the service overall is for beginners!

02/01/2026: We had dinner there on New Year's Eve. It was a great experience. The burgers were tasty and authentic. You could tell they were made with fresh ingredients, and everything was cooked in-house. The buns were handmade with excellent dough, crispy and light. I highly recommend them. The owners are really kind. The price is also excellent. A truly top-notch place. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...
