03/03/2026: I've been going to i.coni for months, and I think of Ma i Basse, who are the best in all of Novara. Today I ate an ice cream that almost made me cry with emotion. You're the best.

11/10/2025: A gelateria with a wide selection of ice cream flavors. I recommend visiting this place, as they have some very interesting and unique ice cream flavors. My favorite is orange and almond. They also have desserts and a good selection of signature cakes.

22/03/2026: Pizzeria Basilico, located in Vercelli in a remote but still easily accessible area, is a truly excellent choice for those looking for good pizza without straying too far from the city center. In my experience, I've only tried the pizza: specifically, the buffalo mozzarella pizza and the one with stracciatella and burrata. Both were truly delicious, with clearly discernible quality ingredients and successful combinations. Another strong point is the homemade desserts: I highly recommend trying them. Among these, the excellent crostata is available in several variations—fruit or chocolate—which may change over time, but are always very good. The service is efficient and fairly quick. However, it's advisable to book well in advance, especially during holidays or if you're planning large dinners. Overall, the value for money is decidedly good.

22/02/2026: Dinner at the wine bar; even though it's the bistro of the adjacent restaurant, we expected a little more flair. The Piedmontese mixed appetizer consisted of standard appetizers like Russian Salad, Jerusalem Artichoke Flan, and Typical Cured Meats... all executed correctly but qualitatively basic, familiar and predictable. The first courses, gnocchi and tagliatelle, were also lacking in character, taste, and presentation. The tasting included a Barolo Conterno Fantino wine, served without a bottle or a description of the wine. Attentive and prompt service. The price was high for the culinary offerings.

The food is excellent: carefully prepared dishes, quality ingredients, and a cuisine that is simple yet surprising. It's one of those places where you can truly feel the passion for what they do. Highly recommended. I'll definitely be back. Especially for the paccheri!

04/01/2026: Terrible experience. Such a high rating (4.6) is truly inappropriate. I went there for dinner. The place was freezing, literally, half the room was wearing jackets because the heating was either off or not at the right temperature... The service was, I'd describe it as bored; the girl seemed extremely annoyed, not just by serving us, but by just being there... The food... Terrible. Truly terrible. The soft seitan felt like the sole of a shoe... The meatballs were dry. Ingredients that should have been on the side were missing. In general, the work was very, very sloppy. Everything seemed "thrown away." It takes a lot of work. It's a shame, especially because if you bring some omnivorous person here to introduce vegan cuisine, you'll look foolish... Last but not least... The desserts... This place is famous for its desserts, but I wonder if anyone who commented positively has ever eaten a proper puff pastry, because otherwise it's inexplicable... The whole wheat croissant was simply a brick... If you test it in the kitchen and it doesn't work, you won't sell it to customers... Madness. I don't recommend it.

19/07/2025: Elegant but cozy. It has limited number of tables (~10) but they still let you in even if you don’t have a reservation. Staff is very friendly and helpful with their food and wine recommendations. The course menu is €45 but it has 4 courses from meat to pasta to fish. The average spend is a little exaggerated. Prices for single course meal prices are reasonable.

05/06/2025: Se i sapori restano nella memoria quelli che ho provato in questo posto, rimarranno nella mia. Si tratta di un locale raccolto, con pochi tavoli ma tanta qualità e gentilezza e professionalità e amore. Per provare un pò di tutto abbiamo optato per la degustazione tastè: ben 9 assaggi di antipasti tipici, tutti squisiti. In particolare ho tenuto per ultima la battuta di fassona per conservarne il gusto...poi i primi, personalmente consiglio i plin, dal ripeno intenso ma equilibrato. Mi ha poi stupita la morbidezza della guancia brasata con la crema di accompagnamento e infine i dolci. Noi abbiamo provato la panna cotta e la pera allo zafferano. Dolci particolari, buoni e non stucchevoli. Ho trovato il servizio gentile e discreto, il conto assolutamente giusto per la quantità e la qualità e per l 'ottimo vino. Scelta super azzeccata!
