04/03/2026: Dinner for two couples The sciatt was below average and overly flavored by the salad underneath, dressed with balsamic vinegar. The pizzoccheri (for just two) was good, although the cabbage wasn't evenly distributed: one with all the white part, the other with all the green part. The meat was very good. So, the food was more than positive. I disagree, however, with the decision not to bring bread until the first course, justified by saying, "If we bring bread, the customer will fill up on it and then not enjoy the food." Just explain this to the customer, and then it's their choice! The wait is long (at least 40 minutes), even though it was stated from the beginning. I would suggest cushions on the wooden chairs, since you'll be sitting there for almost two hours. The atmosphere is moderately noisy; obviously, it depends on the other guests, but the reverberation is noticeable. The menu on the website, consulted at the table, wasn't the one actually offered. So the customer might be convinced they'd like to try certain dishes, which then turn out to be unavailable. Hence the overall rating of 4 stars. The price is a separate issue: 3 sciatt, 2 pizzoccheri, 4 meat-based main courses, 3 bottles of water (microfiltered), 2 glasses of wine: €225. Everyone will judge according to their own standards; too high in my opinion.

29/03/2026: The friendly staff and location on the ski slopes make this restaurant perfect. It's a shame that the chairlift, which starts right next door, is currently closed.

28/04/2026: For those coming from out of town, it's a shame not to have it within reach! A word of advice... look for it and let your GPS guide you. It's worth it! In summer, the outdoor pergola at the foot of the castle is a sight to behold. The food? Describing the flavors is like adding pears and bananas... you have to try it, because only by tasting can you form a true opinion.

21/04/2026: The ruins are well-maintained and cared for, although not much remains of the entire structure. It can be visited in a few minutes, and is worth it for the scenery.

09/06/2026: I had a pizza with vegetables, a small beer, and a coffee. The pizza was not recommended: the dough, tomato, and cheese were below par. The vegetables were sparse and tasteless. The beers (of all kinds) were good; but the small one was really small, actually very small, and not a good value (€3). Coffee was €1.30! But at least acceptable. A place setting, but nothing: no placemat, no bread, no breadsticks, no spring water (we're in the Alps). The cutlery was wrapped (why?), but the fork tines felt greasy to the touch. But the most serious problem, perhaps also from a legal perspective—and someone has already been fined (see here: https://ilfattoalimentare.it/menu-qr-code-ristoranti-legale-elenco-piatti-deve-essere-accessibile.html/comment-page-2#comments)—is the lack of a paper menu and the requirement to choose from a QR code using your personal cell phone. A colleague of mine, an expert in the field, explained to me the three critical aspects of this method of presenting the menu (which, I remind you, presupposes having a cell phone): 1. The Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005) and the transparency requirement 2. The obligation to publish prices (TULPS and Regional/Municipal Decrees) 3. Privacy legislation (GDPR - EU Regulation 2016/679). The menu, in fact, not only allows you to view the entire menu (all items, comparing prices and features) but also allows you to share reading and comment on it with those sitting next to you, whereas the display does not. Restrooms are tidy. Option to choose your table or seating area: No. Even if they're free. For service, we tried to order ourselves. Access to the restaurant (steps at the entrance) is architecturally barrier-free. There is no waste bin, either inside or outside.

06/06/2026: A lovely little restaurant in Chiavenna that we discovered quite by chance. The ambiance is truly wonderful and inviting. We were particularly impressed by the Aperol Spritz – we've never seen it served so beautifully and with such care. The seating is very comfortable, and the service was exceptionally friendly and attentive. The Pizza Rucola was delicious and freshly prepared. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable visit – we'll definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

10/06/2026: The cappuccino and the location were very good. The tiramisu was one of the worst; it was more like a cream dessert and didn't taste anything like tiramisu. The portion was also very small for the price.
