28/02/2025: We were there in December and February. Nice atmosphere, very good coffee, drinks and food. In the heated garden you can look at the market square.

17/03/2025: Very nice place, but being promoted in American breakfasts, I would expect the American coffee to be served like in America, not that I would be asked if I want a long espresso in a small cup. The ritual of American coffee, made of a jug of hot coffee, always ready, served in a large mug, and refilled upon request. I would like to find a place in Italy that has this way of serving it, perhaps a little unpopular here, but it's a question of habits.

20/03/2025: Excellent aperitifs, as the drink is accompanied by a very nice tray complete with appetizers. Out of this world aperitifs.

15/03/2025: I booked a table for four. We ordered fried calamari (in addition to the rest, which we liked anyway) and they were really hard and inedible. we kindly called the waiter and asked if it was possible to evaluate the dish as it was not edible. The owner arrived with arrogance and rudeness, treating us very badly, as did the owner at the cash register. It was not our intention to have discounts or not pay for the dish but I find such a rude and arrogant attitude towards the customer truly sad and in little taste. I strongly advise against letting two rude people work as they would need to be re-educated towards the customer.

11/03/2025: The location of the B&B is very convenient for walking to the city center and the funicular to the upper city. The garage (at a cost of €10 per day) with a private space, easily reachable from the room, was much appreciated. The check in was a bit cumbersome, everything was done with WhatsApp messages without direct contact with anyone. Even breakfast, scheduled in an external bar (not very close) and at 9 in the morning a bit crowded, was not a very pleasant experience. The room that was assigned to us Alda Merini was quite nice, but very noisy because it overlooks the very busy main street. Good value for money Recommended for one or two nights

23/02/2025: I do not like false advertising and this place does this. No terrace, no mini bar, no buffet breakfast, no help desk or reception, complicated check in and out, noisy. They advertise as a lux hotel and it is not even an average hostel. Bad, bad. You can get a better apartment in Bergamo for less money

06/04/2025: It may be a nice place, with excellent desserts but it's not worth the wait. You wait to sit down, you wait to order and you wait even longer to consume. Given the new increases, I don't feel like recommending this place unless you have the patience to wait two hours before having breakfast or an aperitif.

09/04/2025: Excellent quality/price/quantity, a lunch for 3 people of mainly fish in an Italian restaurant would cost around 200 euros, here you spend 50/60 with the exception of the calamari which I don't like, absolutely not recommended.. and the raw tuna which I don't know what it's like but I never take it because I know it costs around 40 euros per kg and therefore it's impossible to pay a 14 euro menu and expect fresh tuna.. you also have to adapt and not take the moon. the salmon and the prawns are excellent, much better than the salmon in a bag from the supermarket that tastes like plastic (except for a few brands) the Chinese rice is delicious, exquisite Italian first courses (the only flaw is that in the spaghetti with seafood which is good they put these unspeakable calamari) the pizza is good but for very demanding palates they could do better. Very fast service, nice and clean place. Highly recommended as long as you don't take calamari and maybe the raw tuna. Recommended dishes: Chinese rice with vegetables and shrimp Penne with shrimp, zucchini and saffron Quite good pizza Salmon sashimi, raw salmon Shrimp skewers Spring rolls Octopus with rocket

18/03/2025: I give three stars for the welcoming waiter with arrogant welcome, I simply asked to be able to sit not in the center where there is the passage of people with two-seater tables. I had to insist on being seated somewhere where I could feel comfortable with my wife. And he arrogantly handed the plates to the table of ordered dishes. But the food is great. I asked the cost of a bottle and he arrogantly replied: "Read on the menu". Education and accommodating underfoot.
