13/08/2025: We had lunch at this crotto on a Monday in August, after a short hike from Torno to Monte Piatto. A very pleasant place, with a moderately spacious interior and a terrace sheltered by a canopy, where we sat. We arrived early (before noon) and were the only customers for the entire meal. The menu, written on a blackboard (with accurate prices), offers: platters of cured meats and cheeses of various sizes, two or three first courses and the same number of second courses, vegetarian or vegan options available for all courses (and plenty of vegetables on the menu), and homemade desserts. We opted for a goat's cheese (a local product, like almost everything else they offer), seasoned with oil, pepper, and a few drops of balsamic vinegar, truly delicious; then polenta with chanterelles (picked in the nearby woods)—also excellent—and finally a chocolate cake with mint cream, equally good. We drank Pintalpina beers (produced in Valtellina and among our favorite craft beers), but of course wine is also available, as well as a refreshing organic green coffee and ginger herbal tea to round out the meal. The owners are kind, friendly, and welcoming; the service is courteous and prompt; the food is local, well-prepared, with generous portions and fair prices. I will return and highly recommend it.

12/07/2025: A delicious Saturday evening experience. To start, a carpaccio of smoked fish: swordfish, tuna, and salmon. Delicious in the order listed above. And a generous portion, too. Then, a fillet of sea bream turned out to be a gigantic platter filled with seafood in addition to the fish. Delicious. Wonderful squid, soft, not rubbery. And a delicious perch fried in breadcrumbs. Try it!

09/07/2025: Waited almost two hours with two young children to get four pizza’s on the table. Ridiculous and very much a shame for the good food that is served. People who just arrived and had a drink walked away without paying. Owners really need to get this together and get a better table management in place and get a better overview of the terras.

16/08/2025: The food was fantastic, the waiters were super quick, competent, and very friendly. And on top of that, everything was reasonably priced. Absolutely recommended!

24/04/2025: A cool bistro, perfect for relaxing. Located in the middle of the piazza, it exudes an authentic Italian atmosphere. The garden invites you to sit, especially when the weather is nice. The staff is friendly and attentive, the food is fresh and delicious. A nice place to watch and enjoy the goings-on on the square.

17/08/2025: They didn't have a gluten-free or dairy-free option... that's exactly why I went there. Apparently, they haven't had gluten-free biscuits for a while now, so please remove them from the menu. They very kindly offered me some options like fruit, etc., so I was able to have an apple and a glass of soy milk for breakfast, even though the prices were very high. The service was very friendly, but I wouldn't go back because of all the above. Still, the food looked good, and if you're not thinking about money, it was very nice and convenient. I tried to go to the bathroom and it was packed with people, so I couldn't quite understand what they were doing, a bit odd.

04/08/2025: A small but welcoming place. Both indoor and outdoor seating. What can I say? I had a really good time. Nothing to complain about; impeccable service, freshly made food, well-presented, and delicious; it satisfies all the senses. The only flaw about this place is the setting, as it's not in the best location, overlooking the main road.

28/05/2025: We ordered the steak but made it very clear to the waitress that one member of our group couldn’t stomach rare beef and so could we please have it medium or medium rare. We used photos on google to show what was and wasn’t okay. Lo and behold the steak comes out and it’s rare, but the waitress keeps insisting this is what medium is. Now, I like rare steak, so while the person in our group ordered something else, I was very happy with the food, until I got home, and started feeling very very sick. We had a lot of wine, so happy to attribute some of it to that, but I definitely had some kind of food poisoning that’s making travel today very difficult. Even 12 hours later I’m still feeling very very nauseous and have had very little sleep due to needing to go to the bathroom a lot in the night. Fanciest, most expensive food poisoning I’ve ever had.

06/08/2025: We visited this piadina shop for lunch and were very pleased! The piadinas were really good, made with a whole-wheat dough that we particularly liked—flavorful yet light. The portions are generous: the piadinas are large and well-filled. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We liked it so much we returned the next day! Highly recommended for a quick, quality lunch.

06/08/2025: The place is spacious, with tables where you can take a break and enjoy their truly delicious gelato. I tried the cremino with salted pistachio, on the recommendation of the girl at the counter. It was an excellent choice, it was really good! Thanks for the recommendation, and the prices are also fair, not expensive at all! I'll be happy to return.

03/08/2025: A selection of gins from around the world. Sergio is incredibly passionate, and he told us so many interesting things and guided us through our choices. It was a wonderful evening, and I recommend it even to those who aren't huge gin fans (like me, by the way).

01/09/2025: Nice "American-style" place, but in Legnano city... parking is fairly easy to find. Good food, clean, and generally well-maintained. Recommended for a burger and fries dinner!
