27/03/2026: Me: "Could you tell me if there's a queue?! (No one around, but they're waiting for people to gather)" Someone who wasn't even serving, young man, shouts from afar: "Do you see it?" Oh, guys, my train costs €100, I wouldn't even say that for an espresso—I'll refuse it if there's no way. They don't even tell you to wait. It's not lunch time anymore. Then it says "empty croissant." The girl at the cashier says, "But that's not the empty one" (what "that's not the empty one"?) Well, first thing: you explain your shortcomings to the customer by apologizing. They slipped in the wrong croissant under the wrong price and description, and I ordered from the description (I didn't even say "on the one in front of the price," even though I could have demanded it because the rule of commerce no. 1: sell what's in front of the description and at the price indicated (consumer rights). A truly modern problem: they hire just anyone who doesn't know how to work. My cappuccinos and espressos weren't even good.

09/02/2026: I go quite often. There's not much seating, though in the summer there are tables in the romantic little square. But the atmosphere and food are excellent. Good beers. A must-see in Genoa's historic center.

21/11/2025: A small bistro in an alley next to the main square! The main room has 6 tables! Perfect for breakfast, lunch, and aperitifs! The menu offers sandwiches, salads, meat tartare, one fish dish, and burgers! The bill for one person with an entree, a glass of wine, water, coffee, and a dessert came to 27 euros! The crowd is local! A regular spot for lunch!

29/10/2025: Lunches at this restaurant are absolutely delicious: the location on Vico San Matteo, in the heart of Genoa's historic center, and the stylish interior are a winning combination. The staff is very friendly (they allow for personal variations on the dishes), and the menu is excellent: the Papavero salad with turkey, tomatoes, poppy seeds, walnuts, and burrata—requested as a substitute for mozzarella—is delicious, as are the sandwiches. The various soups or minestrone with legumes in the winter are also delicious, as are the various desserts available from time to time. The price is truly reasonable for the quality of the food. Highly recommended!

30/12/2025: Nice and historic bar, excellent pastry shop, the staff is very kind, a big praise to the bartenders. Both to those who prepare the aperitifs and to those who take care of the coffee shop. Absolutely exceptional Valerio: his coffees are fantastic. Very good focaccia. The aperitif dinner staff is really friendly.

13/12/2025: I frequent this restaurant often during my lunch break: the atmosphere is very nice and the staff are knowledgeable, and I have no complaints about the service and hospitality. The problem, unfortunately, is the food quality, which is extremely variable: sometimes good, other times decidedly disappointing. Today, the tuna served was, in my opinion, anything but fresh, and I, along with others, suffered such poisoning that we ended up in the hospital. This is a serious matter, unacceptable for a restaurant. The portions are small, but as long as the quality is high, that's fine, but there's no compromise on food safety. I would have given 3 stars for the food, but after this experience, 1 star is the best I can give. I hope the restaurant improves its selection and management of raw materials, because it would be a real shame to see such a beautiful place ruined by incidents like this.

31/08/2025: A beautiful haven of tranquility where fine cuisine meets a passion for making guests feel good. Revisited Ligurian cuisine, yet respectful of the ingredients, excellent local wine pairings, and careful selection of small producers who also produce unusual wines. Finally, a lovely, quiet outdoor area, far from the hustle and bustle of Sestri Levante's center. A wonderful restaurant project that deserves to be appreciated and supported (even compared to an otherwise rather standard local cuisine).

28/02/2026: Terrible home delivery, the pizza arrived cold and completely ruined. I ordered a takeout pizza for €9, and it arrived with the can completely ruined and literally cut open. Did it fall while delivering? Otherwise, it's inexplicable.

01/01/2026: I ordered a home delivery pizza, it arrived 1 hour late, cold and even the order was wrong, then I found two slices of pizza with black hairs, really scary

03/05/2026: Welcoming place, friendly and professional staff. All the dishes we ate were made with high-quality ingredients. The anchovy and raspberry risotto, the veal with artichokes and mashed potatoes, and the tiramisu with panera were truly delicious. The Sardenaira and the candles with beef ragù were also delicious. Definitely worth it, highly recommended.

10/04/2026: Traditional Genoese dishes revisited and deconstructed, but lacking character and often overly bland flavors. The restaurant, in an "arte povera" style, isn't particularly welcoming and, unfortunately, noisy when crowded. Service is adequate and friendly. The wine list is good, but the Ligurian Vermentino we chose was modest, lacking structure and aromas. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

07/04/2026: Sisters Orietta and Edi spoiled us with their service and hospitality. The wine tasting is highly recommended, as is the pasta class, where the preparation of pasta and sauces is explained very clearly, followed by enjoying the prepared dishes. Orietta and her daughter Francesca speak excellent English and German. They provide guests with valuable tips for their stay in this beautiful area. Dinner at the hotel is outstanding, as is the plentiful and high-quality breakfast. We would love to return.
