28/02/2026: That's right... That's what I received when I asked about the €29 bill for a €16 plate of spaghetti with clams and bottarga, a €6 glass of Vermentino (the price wasn't listed on the menu and was told to me at the cashier), filtered tap water, and a coffee. For a quick lunch break, it's a bit high, but above all, the answer is disarming.

29/10/2025: What can I say? If my trusted pastry shop has been a temple of chocolate for over thirty years, even though I'm from the Bisagno Valley, there must be a reason! Gianluca is truly an artist in his work; you can see he's passionate about it; just look at his Instagram profile to see it. He's never disappointed me, from his cakes to his magnificent pastries. Even his window displays are jaw-dropping masterpieces. And if you think this review is fake, try it for yourself and you'll agree. A huge thank you to Gianluca and his wife for their professionalism and kindness, which have always distinguished them. 5 stars and honors

21/12/2025: This neighborhood coffee in Foce, has the best cafe in town! It is a place to go to for a quick morning coffee before work, with a great brioche (also vegan options). It is a great place to stop for a freshly prepared lunch by talented cooks, all from organic produce. The menu changes daily and their way they prepare the vegetables, is exceptional. Every Thursday they have an Aperitivo evening serving a selection of natural wines and 2 options of unique dishes. Make sure to book your table ahead, to enjoy this fully Italian immersed experience. It is my second home in Genova. P.S. They also have a selection of organic produce , olive oil, flours, Jess, teas and how can I forget, natural wine.

The staff were welcoming, smiling, competent, friendly, and helpful, and the service was attentive, fast, and well-priced. This café offers breakfast with a wide selection of focaccia and brioche, including vegan options, and a wide selection of cakes and pastries, including vegan ones, all made with organic ingredients. Lunch is also available, with excellent dishes, including vegan options, and plant-based drinks, in addition to traditional options. 11/09/2025: We stop here while cycling from Genoa to the Turchino Pass, Capanne Marcarolo, Praglia, Campomorone, and Genoa. The place is clean and well-furnished, with an outdoor veranda. The food is good; they serve both a bar, ice cream parlor, and a trattoria. The owners are very friendly, and the prices are fair. I highly recommend it.

08/11/2025: 11/25 I'm upgrading my review from 1 to 3 stars after the owner's satisfactory response. ****** The ice cream is generally "decent," but the prices are, to be honest, lower than the city average. Some flavors (e.g., extra dark chocolate) are definitely good. Others seem a little watered down or made with pre-mixed ingredients. I have no reason to doubt the owner's good faith, and he claims otherwise, so it's a matter of personal taste. The ice cream shop, especially in winter, remains the only option within a radius of several kilometers, and I've been going there regularly for many years (since it first opened). The two young men, as well as the gentlemen from the original management, are always very kind and professional, but the last time, in October 2025, I found myself served by a (new) sales assistant—a tall, young woman with black hair, to be precise—so annoying (or "refiosa," as the locals would say) and so pissed off that I decided to stop serving them. I hate to leave a negative review, but certain people shouldn't work in public.

31/12/2025: My partner and I had lunch there, taking advantage of the €13 fixed menu. For that price, you get a first course, a second course with a side dish, a bottle of water, a 1/4 cup of wine (red or white), and coffee. Well... they served us in just a few minutes, and the atmosphere was friendly and clean. The portions were excellent and just the right size. What more could you ask for?

10/03/2026: Wonderful focaccia, super tasty, fair price and great service. We ordered it to take away, and it was our lunch on the train leaving Genoa. Congratulations to the whole team.

20/02/2026: Focaccia is a different story, but it's a very convenient place to buy lunch specialties. It's popular with tourists and anyone who works nearby. Prices are a bit steep, but thank goodness it's there! It's gotten better over the past year.

10/03/2026: Good pizza, a little too thin for my taste, good place, good service, the only sore point are the additions such as cheese or sausage. €2/3 per product is really a lot for the quantity of product that is added, a maximum of €1.00 is enough in my opinion. 9

29/12/2025: Loved this place. Family run. The people were so friendly, like your mother is feeding you. Clearly for locals. Not a sophisticated expensive restaurant but a tiny gem with amazing food. Come here if you want an authentic Genovese experience. We had the pesto with spaghetti, baked fish, and the minestra.
