meritatissima la stella e non è vero che i prezzi siano così alti.
addirittura il cambio dei tovaglioli ed intermezzi tra ogni portata. il menu da 3 portate è piu che soddisfacente

01/09/2024: Consiglio vivamente questo ristorante giapponese /cinese, che pur non avendo all you can eat, con menù alla carta, riesce a farti mangiare divinamente spendendo la stessa cifra. Pesce fresco, servito in modi originali tutti da gustare. Cortesia del personale e location minuziosamente accurata, ne fanno un fiore all' occhiello. Assolutamente da provare. Chi lavora con amore deve essere premiato.

La caffetteria unita alla variegata pasticceria soddisfano ogni gusto e preferenza, con la possibilità di consumare al banco oppure ai tanti tavoli disponibili. L' ambiente è curato e cortese. Comodo l' ampio parcheggio sul retro.

19/06/2024: A very attentive service, they spent a lot of time giving us advice on visiting the island (at our request!). Very good cocktails and the best pasta of our stay! The owner even served us pasta which was not on the menu. What a pleasure to discover this kind of restaurant… A big 10/10, you have to go there with your eyes closed. Many thanks again to you ❤️

10/06/2024: Dinner for 50 people booked 1 month in advance, agreed fixed menu with 1 small beer each. The beer is ordered by 8 people, 1 glass is brought each which barely reaches 20cl.
Another 8 medium beers are then ordered by the same people... they had the courage to ask for the difference, regardless of the remaining 'small' beers not served. Of course beers paid without arguing, but never again. Pizza normal. I remain silent on other issues for which they would be at risk of closure.

10/08/2024: Very pleasant place, in the little square of the same name in the town. Fairly accurate service. The location overlooks the square which recalls the maritime origins of Gaeta. The food is not bad, I would happily go back for an aperitif.

Checkmate is a place of the heart for us and our friends, always open and welcoming, ready to host our evenings of board games, obviously accompanied by good music and food; although sometimes some products on their menu are not always available, the kind and friendly staff and the welcoming environment make up for these unexpected events. We absolutely recommend it for evenings with friends and relatives

The owners are wonderful hosts, they let us taste excellent dishes seasoned with their delicious products which we were also able to purchase. Excellent value for money. We will definitely be happy to return.
20/07/2024: I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I ordered a tuna carbonara, but I was served a pasta with tuna and bottarga. When I pointed out that there was no egg to the waiter, I was told that bottarga is eggs, so it was a "carbonara". This is unacceptable, since traditional carbonara contains neither tuna nor bottarga. The quality of service and lack of attention to detail made my visit very disappointing. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience.

16/08/2024: Personally I ate a pizza and I must say that it was quite good but not the best I have eaten, the place is very nice, clean and equipped with tables outside, it is located right on the highest part of the town and offers a beautiful view.
The service was excellent, the young guys were very kind and super available for any need.
At the end of the meal I also had a coconut dessert which I must say was very good and fresh.
ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT value for money.
Overall I had a great evening in the company of my girlfriend and other friends.
Unfortunately, the only flaw is the parking as the restaurant is located right on the town's driveway, which is very narrow and where there are hardly any free spaces.
ADVISED!!!!!
