17/08/2025: A great lunch stop in Umbria! Just 6 km from the Fabro exit of the Autostrada del Sole, we decided to stop for lunch. The restaurant is air-conditioned and cool, with a view of the countryside. We ordered a mixed antipasto for five, including mixed crostini with tomato, mushrooms, and truffle, and a plate of local prosciutto. Everything was excellent! Next, we tried the Florentine steak (rare), grilled lamb chops (highly recommended), pollo all'cacciatora (sublime), flavorful guinea fowl (surprising game), and mutton skewers (very tender). All accompanied by sautéed chicory and baked potatoes. The service was extremely friendly, fast, and professional. For dessert, we tried tiramisu and zuppa inglese, both highly recommended. The value for money is excellent. In conclusion, La Castagneta is an excellent choice for relaxing and dining during your trip!

20/06/2025: We went to this place for the first time, we took the courgette flowers, they were all pasta and little flower, without mozzarella and anchovies like they do in Rome, the carbonara left a bitter aftertaste in my mouth that I couldn't finish, the tonnarelli, they took them by mistake to another table, then once they got them they gave them to us, now lukewarm, little organisation, given the experience with the first courses, we didn't want to take anything else, I had great expectations but I was very disappointed.

15/05/2025: We had dinner with friends, the fried food was delicious and not greasy, the appetizer was a flask with lots of great stuff, the cacio e pepe, gnocchi alla Gricia and amatriciana, all excellent, we will gladly return and I recommend it.

19/07/2025: The beach is well-organized, with helpful and friendly staff. We booked a sun lounger with two sun loungers at a fair price and enjoyed the restaurant's dishes, which never disappoint. I highly recommend it.

17/07/2025: Pizza ottima. paccheri al ragù di pesce favolosi. Tanti complimenti ai camerieri i tempi di attesa giusti,con dei prezzi del genere e una qualità cosi alta pochi ristorante possono competere. Per non parlarle del posto.

20/08/2025: We stopped at this place for lunch; it initially looked promising, but unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed. We ate four piadinas, and they weren't bad, although when we asked for squaccherone, the waitress told us they didn't have any, saying it was just like stracchino. Unfortunately, the disappointment was in the overall cleanliness and the service. The bathroom was extremely dirty and smelly, and they didn't have Coke or Chinotto. When we asked the waitress if she could change our napkins because they were already covered in grease, she took them and carefully examined them in front of us to see if they were actually greasy. Without saying anything, she then changed them, almost as if she were annoyed. In my opinion, this was an unprofessional and unkind gesture toward customers. The place could offer much more, in my opinion; they just need to improve a few things. The prices are moderately high, but appropriate for the area.

24/08/2025: We had the absolute pleasure of dining here during our trip to Texas, and I can confidently say it was the best Bangladeshi food we’ve had outside of Dhaka or Jackson Heights. Every dish was authentic, full of rich flavors, and brought back memories of home. What made the experience truly stand out, however, was the service. Nur, who took care of our family, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He was attentive without being overbearing, ensured that everything came out on time, and paid close attention to every little detail so we could just relax and enjoy the meal. It’s rare to find that level of hospitality, and it made our visit even more special. If you’re craving genuine Bangladeshi cuisine and want to be taken care of like family, this is the place. We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re in town!

02/08/2025: When you get a glimpse of this restaurant it looks like any other local Indian restaurant on the streets of Rome but there are many faults that ruin the vibe. Firstable this is not a Indian cuisine it’s more of a bangledshi cuisine falsely advertised as an Indian one possibly because Indian cuisine is more popular, not a major setback but cuts out on authenticity and shows a less of a standard. Next up the food the main reason why you would head to a restaurant: The chicken curries were good in flavour, slightly on the oily side but everything else was absolutely even more horrendous and mediocre. The tandoori chicken looked deep fried (it was really greasy) than cooked in a tandoor, it tasted decent but again with the authenticity. The naan's didn’t look fresh and suspiciously looked like store brought and heated instead of made fresh, they also were the worst tasting naan I ever have had in a restaurant. The biryani was the worst of all, no flavour no aroma and just bland chicken and rice. I am really disappointed. Biryanis are usually supposed to have this unique flavour but this one again one of the worst biryanis I have ever tasted. And whoever made the chai and mango lassi clearly hasn’t had a chai or mango lassi in their life, overpriced for what you get in terms of quantity and quality and the chai tasted like it was made in boiled water and powdered milk, absolutely disgusting. To all tourists out there save your appetite and euros and I would highly not going here even if your starving.

10/09/2025: Without a doubt, a place we won't return to again. Small plates and very expensive for what they serve. The worst of all the places we've been to in Italy. Designed only to get money from tourists 😡. And we left without eating...

23/06/2025: I wanted to have this experience.... risotto tour! I expected something more, although I must say that I am pleasantly satisfied. Negative note.... I asked for a glass of prosecco, unfortunately it arrived with the glass frozen, but the wine was not as fresh. Quantity of risotto more than sufficient, the only one I did not like, the one with courgettes, but this is subjective. Positive experience. Thanks

12/06/2025: Even though we didn't have a reservation, they still sat us down. Service was a little slow and prices weren't cheap, but the atmosphere was nice.

24/08/2025: The rooms are new and spacious, very modern and quiet, with comfortable beds. Breakfast is acceptable, with little choice and no salty items. The spa is nice but expensive.

15/07/2025: I had lunch at the restaurant of this beautiful property, surrounded by greenery. A very refined and elegant location (perfect for a wedding reception), the menu balanced between seafood and local specialties, and the service was impeccable. The atmosphere was very relaxing. Perfect accessibility, everything on the ground floor. Ample parking is available at the entrance. The quality/price ratio is in line with the type of venue. Recommended. I returned after about two months and I reiterate the opinion I expressed in my first review.

20/08/2025: A traditional place. A truly lovely place where you can eat meat or fish. For work, I've dined there countless times, never had any problems, so much so that every time I'm in Lecce with friends or my wife, I always have dinner there. The price is reasonable for the location but not too high, depending on what you drink. I highly recommend the Cantele wines, which are more than reasonably priced.

20/08/2025: I walked into this pastry shop this afternoon, it looked like a deserted one. There was nothing there! A few donuts and some pastries for breakfast, but otherwise, it had no pastries at all. A small display case with a few ice cream cakes and that was it. The clerk seemed almost annoyed and barely answered. But I mean, before having a pastry shop this empty, wouldn't it have been worth an extra shift? I don't think so!

28/07/2025: The lunch menu was a bit limited in terms of choice, with a special mention for the roast veal served with spicy sauce. For the rest, nothing special except the possibility of using private rooms, as is traditional in Chinese restaurants.
