23/08/2025: Very unprofessional and biast staff. There was a lady and a male working on Friday 22nd August around 7 pm. The lady was a bit slow but at least smiled at me. The male completely ignored me. I believe I have been a victim of racism. The male staff did not even smile, ended up dismissing me and showed a very disrespectful attitude. It's shocking to see such unprofessional people working in such a touristy place. The management must do something about this urgently.

12/08/2025: Closed for holidays August 10-17, 2025 There are various menus, starting at €12 with various all-inclusive options. Combo 1 includes a first course, second course, side dish, dessert, microfiltered water, a glass of wine, and coffee. This little place is under the porticoes of Piazza Alfieri. I've had lunch there many times, and it's been a pleasure. The sheltered porticoes allow you to eat outside in any weather. The house wine deserves a special mention (the sparkling white is special, but the Barbera is also pleasant). Very clean and tidy, including the bathroom. Among the desserts, I have a weakness for the crème brûlée. The lasagna, made in many ways, is delicious. The plin with Barbera sauce is very light and flavorful. The Bra sausage is a real discovery. The variety of dishes is varied, all expertly prepared by the young chef. __________________ Among the first courses, I'd mention the excellent tajarin with a delicious sauce (e.g., anchovies the first time, or olives and sun-dried tomatoes) and perfectly cooked. For the second course, for example, I had an unusual (for me) smoked swordfish with arugula, fennel, and mushrooms. The dessert was a coffee + chocolate cake + ice cream. For dessert, we had a wide range of bunet (a type of pastry), sorbet, panna cotta, melon, etc. (every time a surprise). Excellent value for money.

09/08/2025: We stopped to eat at this place. We sat down at a table. After 30 minutes, a girl came to take our order. Meanwhile, two tourists arrived next to us. I immediately saw them take their order, all smiling, as expected. Their dishes arrived before us even though they arrived 30 minutes after us. Meanwhile, the desserts and coffee also arrived, and we were still waiting! Never again!

26/05/2025: Locale sempre super affollato, pieno di gente, moltissimi americani. Si mangia bene, piatti davvero vari e ben cucinati. Servizio gentile e veloce. Conto ok.

26/05/2025: Ottimo posto dove andare a mangiare a Sulmona, uno dei migliori. Cibo ottimo e soprattutto ottimo vino. Personale competente, soprattutto i camerieri. Consiglio vivamente per chi vuole vivere un’esperienza a 360 gradi.

20/08/2025: Passing through Novara in August, we sat at the outdoor tables of this beautiful and well-maintained establishment.... Despite the stickers of famous specialized guides in the windows, the coffee was nothing special; in fact, it left much to be desired... The desserts (croissants and apple tart) had little flavor and were a huge disappointment.... Friendly service and decidedly high prices.... Worth reconsidering for a possible second visit!

31/03/2025: Wandering around Bologna we stopped in this beautiful place for breakfast, tasted the lemon cream cake, pears and a tart they were really delicious, I fully recommend it

30/06/2025: Simple sobre et efficace, très bon service et une belle carte de vins. Possibilité de prendre des amuses bouche par pièce. Tentez le combo c’est sympa ! Prix un peu touristique mais le cadre l’exige. Bonne adresse et en sortant passez voir le musée du tir-bouchons !

14/07/2025: The place is beautiful and quirky, amazing location right by the river. It’s romantic and we found the service to be very attentive and quick. The food however was A) too imaginative (cherries with pasta, pineapple with chilly) and B) way too expensive for the quality and amount. It would be the perfect place, if they simply focused on good and simple dishes.

19/08/2025: What a shame!! We dined at this restaurant based on our hotelier's recommendation and the reviews, but we were sorely disappointed. The appetizers were good (the scampi tartare...the shrimp tartare was sold out)...but the first courses were just not up to par, sorry. The tagliolini with lobster was poorly balanced and had half a claw added to it, as was the shrimp spaghetti with Bronte pistachios, which was too flavorful (but was enhanced by a raw shrimp). Next up was spaghetti alla giannino, filled with cherry tomatoes and seafood...the sauce masked the flavor and presence of the clams (though their shells were still intact). For main courses, grilled octopus and calamari, nothing special (except for the price), which we thought were decent, especially the plating, but overcooked and lacking in flavor. The wine list starts at €40...we chose a mid-priced white wine, which paired excellently with fish, but the 150% markup on the average price was excessive. Finally, the service: we happened to be there on an evening where the restaurant's friends (or relatives) were also guests...they were always served before the other tables and with attention that was not shown to other customers (we had to ask for dirty plates to be cleared away, for wet wipes to be brought, for courses to be served, and for the essential cutlery for opening shellfish). It's worth noting that, in the end, the owner had to ask the "guests" to lower their voices. There are certainly no alternatives offering fresh fish in the center of Mantua, but it's not worth the €70 per person (minimum) required for an average meal (appetizer and first course or first course and second course with water and wine). For that price, it's better to look elsewhere... especially considering the "hidden" location. Perhaps it was an unlucky evening, but even if we're tourists... 'Acco nosciuno è fosso' (No one here is a fool). We suggest publishing updated menus (the ones published aren't) to better understand the type of cuisine offered... it would help to encourage a proper quality/price assessment.

17/08/2025: We found this winery by chance after wandering around the local restaurants. The products are incredibly high-quality and excellent value. For two, we ordered a mixed cured meats and cheese platter for €26 and a pinsa with stracciata, Martina Franca capicollo, and turnips for €12 (four generous portions). Highly recommended 👌🏻

15/08/2025: Highly recommended; we went there for dinner. The service was prompt and very friendly, the portions were more than generous, and the price was very reasonable. If we were ever in the area again, I would definitely eat there again.
