04/05/2025: Ristorante frequentato altre volte con buoni risultati, per il pranzo del primo maggio delude profondamente. Propone come extra tre primi : scegliamo tonnarelli al cavolo nero con pecorino ma ci arriva un insipido piatto con crema di spinaci e crema di indistinguibile formaggio non mantecato . Rimandato al mittente . In più ci viene dato come vino della casa un "vino" rosso caldo nelle furbette bottiglie da 50 ml . Le carni come sempre abbastanza buone e nonostante il locale fosse pieno servizio buono.

02/05/2025: Veniamo sempre qui quando vogliamo farci un giro al Lago Trasimeno e ci siamo trovati sempre bene.Poi siamo venuti per Pasquetta ed è stato un po' deludente ma gli antipasti e il primo non hanno deluso.La carne insomma. il servizio è un po' lento di solito,per Pasquetta lentissimo ma possiamo anche capire che nei giorni di festa è difficile gestire tutto. Comunque lo consiglio lo stesso. Data della visita: aprile 2025

22/04/2025: A lakeside seafood restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. The fried fish was good, though I would have liked a bit more variety. The crostini were excellent—well-prepared and nicely seasoned. The restaurant is well-maintained, and the staff was very kind and attentive. The price was fair for what we had.

22/03/2025: Era da tempo che avevamo puntato questo locale, ma per un motivo o l'altro non eravamo mai riusciti a realizzare questo progetto, comunque credeteci: l'attesa è stata ampiamente ripagata!! Il signor Carlo e tutto il suo staff, si prodigano per farti sentire a proprio agio, cibo superlativo! Abbiamo preso l'antipastissimo, un vero tripudio di sapori, poi la carpa regina in porchetta ed il tegamaccio ai funghi, tutto buonissimo!! Il locale non è grandissimo, ma è ben sfruttato e nel rispetto delle distanze che ancora oggi è bene mantenere memori di un passato non molto lontano. Esperienza positivissima, grazie sig. Carlo!!

29/04/2025: We had a great time, the fish was very good, we took the full menu, everything was good from the appetizer to the dessert, the waiters were very good and quick despite the amount of work they have. The lake view is also beautiful. I hope to return soon.

06/04/2025: I don't know the 'before' Massimo but today's, I say this because I have read some negative reviews, a bit here and a bit there, among the comments online, on the main social networks, and in the local press, a very 'skimpy' number tells of a menu no longer up to the standard of the past! Since I was a child, I remember hearing about this restaurant several times, from friends, family and acquaintances, in an uninterrupted loop: "Massimo al lago (...) Massimo al lago (...)"! Personally I have to say that at Massimo you can eat tasty local cuisine at a truly honest price. The tasting menu, which is 90% and perhaps even more of the dishes that come out of the kitchen, includes a simple but genuine cold seafood starter, a series of hot seafood courses, two very generous first courses, such as spaghetti with seafood and gnocchi with scampi, lemon sorbet to cleanse the palate, followed, as second courses, by sufficient fried seafood and grilled seafood, also with breading, dessert, digestive and/or coffee at the price of €38.00, €40.00 on holidays, what more could you want? It's certainly not fine dining but it has its reasons! Recommended for those looking for substance and not appearance!
