02/12/2025: In the heart of Montefalco, formerly known as Coccorone, we chose the eponymous restaurant for lunch last Saturday. The atmosphere, with its brick vaults and rustic charm, evokes the history of the village and the local gastronomic culture. The attentive and friendly service led us through Umbrian culinary tradition. We sampled typical appetizers (veal tartare, celery parmigiana, polenta flan with fondue and mushrooms), excellent first courses such as pappardelle with Sagrantino wine, gnocchi with goose sauce, and a truly delicious lasagna with white ragù. For main courses, the guinea fowl on crostone (a type of crusty bread) thrilled my wife because it reminded her of the one her grandmother (also Umbrian) used to make. The Chianina steak was incredibly tender and was a fitting accompaniment to grilled porcini mushrooms. While the tiramisu and chocolate panna cotta were complete and exquisite desserts, the chocolate, pear, and rum cake raised the bar even higher. Throughout lunch, we drank only one glass of Sagrantino—warm, elegant, and full-bodied. Montefalco is the land of Sagrantino, and Coccorone celebrates it to the fullest. After lunch, we visited the Montefalco Museum, a must-see to complete an experience that combines flavor, art, and history. Recommended for those seeking authentic Umbrian cuisine and a deep connection to tradition.

Everything was delicious. The girls who work there are all kind and available to give you advice on what to eat. What can I say about the Chef... fantastic, phenomenal, and friendly. 02/11/2025: We were there today and everything was perfect, from the service by their sweet and attentive waitress to the very knowledgeable and kind young man. As for the food, it started with a truly delicious welcome from the chef, then we had an appetizer of prosciutto al taglio and bruschetta with truffle, both delicious, and the amazing scrambled eggs with truffle. For a first course, the strangozzi with truffle were always delicious, and the dessert was also delicious. Overall, we had a great time and will return, or rather, during the summer to try their amazing truffle dessert, but we will definitely be back sooner.

27/08/2025: It was recently recommended to me by a friend but I had already visited this restaurant in the past, everything was excellent, excellent pizza, healthier than normal children's menu and an excellent selection of beers.

19/08/2025: Slow service. I wanted a draft beer, but they gave me a bottle. I should have pointed that out, but I'm a sucker for choice. The food was good, the pizza was crusty, but that's a classic Umbrian dish, and it was still good. Prices were normal.

10/12/2025: I'll start by saying I had very, very high expectations, and perhaps that's why I was slightly disappointed. The buffet is very rich, but after 3 or 4 items, everything is very bland (pickles, cold cuts, cheeses, etc.). The waiters are very, very fast with their service, not giving you time to properly enjoy a meal of that caliber. The main courses could be improved, but they're generally good and well-proportioned. Let's talk about Giorgione, the man himself. I'd give him 5 stars for him alone. He's very affable and helpful with everyone. At least in that respect, I wasn't disappointed at all. On the contrary... Overall, I recommend going to him at least once. I'd also recommend arriving on time, but also early to enjoy the buffet without too many people.

02/12/2025: Nice place, the food leaves much to be desired, not a positive experience, from the pans with the food still fried on the edge, very salty pasta with raw ham appetizer, good fried dumplings full of oil, a shame because the staff is very nice and kind, the kitchen needs to be reviewed

05/12/2025: Saturday. Rain mixed with snow. Cold. The lit door invites you to take refuge in the warmth. Luck is on our side. There's room for two, despite a fortunate cancellation (reservations are required). I can't adequately describe this charming little restaurant, because it's a place full of details and perfectly fitted details. The smiling manager explains the menu, which appears like a delicate watercolor in his hands. Hand-cut prosciutto, aged for a long time. The fat is nectar that melts and blends with the bread. I give in to the lure of truffles with ancient grains. I understand the meaning of the watercolor precisely because the food releases a thousand colors of flavor in my mouth. A glass of ruby-red Sagrantino and, to finish, dessert. A tart. No, THE tart. Everything is sublime. Everything. The music, the atmosphere, the food, the service, the stick of palo santo in the bathroom. Congratulations to everyone!

30/11/2025: Intimate, very welcoming place. Excellent quality food, friendly and welcoming staff. It was a truly enjoyable dinner and a wonderful discovery. If we're ever in the area again, we'd definitely eat here again.

07/12/2025: Excellent restaurant with typical local dishes. The food is good, the cured meats are excellent, the porchetta made by them is amazing, the strangozzi with wild boar sauce is excellent, and the wine list is remarkable, with many classic local and national wines. I recommend it.

02/11/2025: We returned here, even though we'd been here three years ago. You always return to places where you've had a good time. To start, we had the raw cheese platter, scrambled eggs with truffle, and onion parmigiana (if they have it, get it, it's amazing). The great thing is that there's a deli counter where you can choose your appetizers. For first courses, pappardelle with wild boar and stringozzi with cavolo nero and hazelnuts, both truly flavorful and well-seasoned. Obviously, everything was washed down with a glass of Montefalco DOCG. For dessert, the Rocciata (a sort of strudel) and a cheesecake made fresh with crushed biscuits as a base, cream cheese, and then (in my opinion) the star of this dessert, the hazelnut cream with 45% hazelnuts (it's on sale in front of the register, and of course I got a jar); If you like, you can also order it with pistachio cream or grape jam. All washed down with a glass of Sagrantino Passito. The staff were very friendly and attentive; they even moved us to a table because we were next to a table with a lot of noisy children (nothing against kids, but we couldn't hear each other if we were making noise). A pleasant experience.

Excellent music selection, with the perfect volume for a relaxed chat without having to raise your voice. We're not local, but if we're in the area again, we'll definitely stop by again.
