05/04/2026: We spent five days in Assisi, Spoleto, Foligno, and Perugia, and on two of those days we also went to this Hosteria near where we were staying. It's near Foligno, and this experience was unique: Food) Excellent, we had dinner both days. First, we had Carbonara and second, pasta with Chianina ragù. Being from the north, we mostly eat meat ragù with sausage, etc. Service) The waiter and owner are very friendly but also serious, with few people if you come on the right days. Ambience) Very nice, with plenty of tables and music of all kinds. The restaurant overall is very large and beautiful, with reasonable wait times, which can be long for some. If you're in a hurry, you can ask for something to snack on (fries, potato croquettes, etc.), and they'll bring it right away. P.S.: When you park, there won't be a parking lot, so you'll have to park on the street next to the "Restaurant/Tennis Club" Rating: 4.5 approved 🍫

Enthusiastic about this bakery shop, where you can only buy bread, focaccia, pizza slices or you can take the advantage of eating delicious homa made umbrian "focaccia", called torta di testo (only water and flour) filled with ham or chicken ham. Also croissant and deserts are very good! Two other important points: politeness of the owners of the shop and the waiter (we could use employees' bathroom for necessity) and the price. Around 3-4€ for one filled torta di testo and you can be full with it only! Finally, if you chose it in too good to go, you can receive huge amount of fresh bread, with different tastes and flavours.

As a lover of order and precision, I can only appreciate the evolution of this historic business. The space is now completely renovated, featuring a bright, modern design. The choice of light parquet flooring and marble counters enhances the sense of cleanliness and spaciousness. The space management is very intelligent. There is a large indoor dining area and an outdoor veranda bordered by large windows, allowing you to enjoy a break with pleasant natural light, protected yet with a view of the outdoors. The offerings are, as always, excellent. From the small pastries to the breakfast pastries, to the savory selection (pizza and well-aired focaccia), the freshness is noticeable from the first bite. Despite the crowds, the staff is courteous and dynamic. Speed ​​of service is a definite plus, essential for those like me who have a hectic schedule. Logistical Notes (to be considered). For the sake of completeness, I should point out that street parking can sometimes be scarce and inconvenient; the frequent passage of cars requires a bit of attention and patience when maneuvering. Furthermore, as is to be expected from a venue of this caliber, during peak hours (breakfast and aperitifs) the crowds are massive, making the atmosphere very lively and crowded. In summary: A confirmation of excellence in Foligno. A winning mix of pastry tradition and a modern and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for those seeking quality and professionalism.
