20/08/2025: Terrible. Expensive and filthy. Virtually no services. A civilized city shouldn't have a parking lot like this.

26/03/2026: I used to go there every now and then as a student and I have to say that the prices are decidedly high for a university bar, excluding coffee and croissants: a rectangle of white pizza costs €2.50 and a mini sandwich (mignon version) with ham costs €2. The atmosphere is very nice and there is also a decent space outside where you can take a break during the warmer months. It's a shame because if it were managed a little better, it could have a lot of potential.

19/03/2026: First of all, if I could give the service a 0-star rating, I would have already done so. There's no way anyone should be forced to choose the vending machines instead of using the bar, because the older bartender (50/60 years old) wastes time doing other things when you come in, instead of serving you. She responds very rudely, and encourages not only me, but also other students to go to the vending machines for even a minimally decent and faster service compared to hers. It says a lot about this employee, that she didn't actually manage the bar; she would certainly be more incentivized to accept customers instead of scaring them away! You can't keep someone like that in the public eye; she ruins your day instead of offering you a nice break.

02/01/2026: About a hundred meters from Minerva Square, the center of the medieval village. Regional cuisine, not a very large selection, but everything was delicious. Very fast and friendly service.

14/03/2026: Beautiful and welcoming place, recommended for a quick lunch. The food is decent, but could use a bit more emphasis on local flavors. I would definitely return.

15/11/2025: I ate there last Monday during my lunch break. The service was particularly rushed, especially by an older man (who was kind, but, poor thing, agitated and hurried. I appreciated his great effort, and it pained me to see how he was treated by the, I believe, much younger but rather upset cook). A second waiter, in my opinion, was incapable of doing this job because he was clearly lacking in empathy, unable to explain dishes or anything else, and inaccurate in his accounting and ordering. To make a long story short, I ordered a soft drink and an Umbrian ribollita, having little time and wanting a quick lunch. Seeing so much truffle advertised, I asked if a single truffle crostini could go with the ribollita, but only if it were possible, because I couldn't have managed any more. The older man said yes, and the less empathetic waiter simply confirmed that if I only wanted one: "Yes, but only if possible." The older man also insistently told me that even if I didn't want it, he should bring me water because it's included in the service charge. He brings it to me, but I still only drink the drink I ordered, also because, as I repeat, I'd been sitting for a maximum of 30 minutes and couldn't drink Coke and water. Moral of the story: a crostini divided between four (the portion should have included three crostini) on untoasted bread and a spreadable truffle sauce, a rather small ribollita (low-quality legume soup; I'm Umbrian and know the products), a can of Coke, and the bill (at least verbally by the young man, since he didn't give me a receipt with the details) also includes water: 30 euros. I ask why the water, I ask how a single piece of bread can cost 12 euros as a full portion when I had asked if that was possible otherwise I wouldn't have ordered it. I don't elaborate on the poor quality, but he, unconcerned and, I repeat, in a state of mind unfit for public use, continues to hand me a receipt. The only thing he tells me is that you have to pay for the water and that you asked for your own crostini. I pay, but obviously I politely point out that, given the presence of foreign tourists, they weren't really advertising our products and that, above all, they hadn't been fair to a fellow countrywoman, both in presenting low-quality dishes and in declaring one thing and then doing something else at the cash register. I'm saddened by the treatment the older waiter received from someone I believe was a chef (if we can call her that given the low quality of the food), which made me feel uncomfortable. However, I recommend helping the younger man because I don't see him as being centered and, above all, ruining the restaurant, which, in my opinion, unless there are unsuspecting foreigners, risks closing. I also recommend lowering the prices to at least match the low quality, or focusing on easier-to-prepare platters while increasing the quality of the ingredients, because that truffle was an insult to Umbrian cuisine.

10/02/2026: There's potential for a 4- or 5-star breakfast, given the vast selection of sweet and savory options, but the croissants' execution leaves much to be desired: the filling is poorly distributed, and you end up eating too much of the pastry. A word of advice? It would be much better to cut them in half and spread the filling over the entire surface. Add to this the limited seating and the hassle of parking, and the overall experience is a bit frustrating despite the deliciousness of the products. Still, I recommend it.

16/04/2026: Incredibly top flavors and smells, the owner is super kind, delicious dishes

06/04/2026: Slow and disorganized service, terrible first courses, inedible carbonara, dry and salty gnocchi alla gricia, five ravioli in a row, tasteless. Not recommended.

03/03/2026: I went to this place for breakfast for a week, and the croissants were excellent. I'm sorry to find it so awful. But the service is very slow, and one in particular doesn't serve guests even though there are waiting! It's a shame because the kindness that's missing and better service would be enough.

16/02/2026: Embarrassing service. With the place empty, the blonde lady at the counter forced us to serve ourselves. Without a tray, we brought coffee, water, and desserts to the table, under her annoyed gaze. Such behavior, without a shred of help or courtesy, is shameful. I've never seen such rudeness.

08/04/2026: Last August, the path of flavor took me through the streets of Terni. The cuisine at Il Cicalino was rich in delicacies and variety, and I took the opportunity to photograph the dishes according to my own taste (more detailed and close-up), in addition to the Glovo guidelines, which require framing the entire dish.

14/03/2026: A unique experience, one to repeat. Excellent pizza delivered in minutes, hand-made fries with accompanying sauces. Homemade desserts and coffee made with quality ingredients. House specialty: berry cheesecake. Scented tablecloths and sparkling silverware. Recommended for weddings and christenings. Authentic lighting.

15/08/2025: Tourist trap...4 people spent 91 euros and we didn't get to eat anything. I won't add any further comments.
