26/04/2025: Première chose, penser à réserver.
Un acceuil sympatique, le patron parle Italien et Anglais.
Le cadre est magnifique, nous étions dans la salle du bas sur un aquarium.
Le personnel est sympathique et le service parfait.
Le repas est bien sur à la hauteur, avec la carte et les plats du jours. C'est bien préparé, bon et copieux.
Une excellente soirée.
02/04/2025: Wir waren hier Essen, nachdem wir zweimal in anderen Restaurants keinen Platz bekommen hatten. Die Karte war klein, was normalerweise nicht schlecht ist. Wir wollten etwas leichtes Vegetarisches essen. Da blieb dann nicht leider nicht viel übrig auf der Karte. Die Spargellasagne war dann fast geschmacklos und Spargel gar nicht zu entdecken. Die ist allerdings auch schwer so zu kochen, dass sie gut schmeckt. Hätte ich daher hier auch normalerweise nicht bestellt. Aber in Ermangelung von Alternativen, war das leider die einzige Option.
Wer gern schwer und fleischlastig ist und auch Hamburger und Steak schätzt, könnte hier gut aufgehoben sein.

26/09/2025: The best pizza I've had in a long time. Super thin crust, great toppings, large portion, lots of selection. We ate inside. Small inside area. Unfortunately, there was only one table outside.

20/09/2025: The food was delicious and arrived quickly. The price/performance ratio was absolutely reasonable. The location is very nice.
13/08/2025: Nice location, but unfortunately, that was about it. We had to wait forever for the waiter to take our order after asking.
The two fruit spritzers and two iced coffees were okay, but not particularly large. €36+ for that is outrageous!

23/10/2025: We were served quickly, but you have to keep in mind that not all burgers are prepared the same in every country ;) Otherwise everything was tip-top, very friendly service.
15/10/2025: A Big Tasty costs €9 in South Tyrol and only €6.90 in Trento! What's the point? Pure rip-off!

We stopped at Café Lauben and were delighted!
The white wine and Aperol Spritz were very good.
The restaurant has wonderful, friendly service and captivates with its nostalgic atmosphere – a place where time has stood still in a beautiful way.
A great spot for an aperitif in the heart of Merano. Highly recommended!

17/10/2025: We always order the best home delivery pizza from them... today my daughter wanted a heart-shaped pizza... I asked if it was possible and they told me they were happy to do it... my daughter was very happy... thank you and congratulations, the pizza is always delicious
10/07/2025: Terrible, I don't know what happened, the first pizza arrived promptly at home and the edge was stuck to the cardboard like rubber, I called and they kindly confirmed that the pizza chef is not the same as usual and they promptly brought me another pizza even worse, terrible dough, terrifying... and even more stuck to the cardboard... I don't know what happened, I will never have it again!! terrible

C’était pour déjeuner vers 13:30.
Attention les couverts sont en plus: 2€50 par personne et je ne l’ai pas vu sur la carte.
15/04/2025: Wir haben zunächst 2 Prosecco bestellt und dann Carbonara und Tagliatelle Bolognese. Nach ca. 10 Minuten waren die Getränke noch nicht da, obwohl insgesamt nur 3 Tische besetzt waren, so dass ich höflich nachgefragt habe. Die Antwort war „kein Problem“. Nach ca. 5 Minuten kam unser Essen. Ich habe darauf hingewiesen, dass ich gerne erst meinen Prosecco wollte. Die Antwort war „kein Problem“ und der Kellner verschwand. Nach 3 Minuten kam er mit dem Prosecco, meine Frau hat, nachdem sie das Essen probiert hatte und es nur lauwarm war, gebeten ihr doch bitte ein heißes Essen zu servieren. Die Antwort „kein Problem“. Nach 5 Minuten kamen dann die aufgewärmten Nudeln Carbonara. Geschmacklich unterirdisch, insbesondere die Sauce war irgendwie geronnen. Also ich kann weder Service noch das Essen empfehlen.

09/10/2025: The pizza was delicious, crispy, juicy, and good. The staff was also very friendly and readily available for any requests. The cocktails, for €7.90, were plentiful and delicious. We'd gladly return.
08/10/2025: The waterfront promenade is reflected TOO MUCH in the price. The menu lists the ice cream for 12.90. The waiter actually wanted 13.90. Was that the surcharge for the no-cream, and still only one scoop of ice cream?!
The waiter was in a bad mood, his speech slurred.
The cafe was packed, people were queuing for a seat.
The ice cream wasn't even particularly good, and they skimped on the strawberry sauce, too.
Pfff!

27/09/2025: I bought a slice of Schwarzplententorte (buckwheat flour and jam) and an apple strudel.
I really liked the buckwheat cake, but the apple strudel wasn't.
08/08/2025: The cashier serving customers today at 4:50 pm was shocked by her unacceptable behavior. We asked her for sweet pretzels, and she gave us some that weren't fresh! Then we asked her to change them, but she refused and swore in German! When I told her, "We understand what you're saying and will file a complaint against you through Google Reviews," she hit the pastries on the counter in a very rude manner. We asked her name, and she refused and continued speaking German. She is over 50 years old, has short curly hair, and wears glasses. I hope the store manager gives her a warning for bad behavior with tourists!
