25/10/2025: Extremely unfriendly. I asked if I could use the restroom as a non-customer. The owner immediately replied that the toilet was broken, even though someone had just come out. I tried to explain that I was in dire need and urgently needed to use the restroom. The owner then shouted at me and almost threatened to hit me. I suffer from bladder cancer and could barely hold my breath. That seemed a bit racist. It wasn't a tourist restroom... The restaurant next door reacted similarly... I had to pay... Bad experience in South Tyrol. What you wrote is wrong. I politely asked if I could use the restroom, and you immediately became aggressive. I tried to explain my situation, but you threatened me and kicked me out. You should stick to the truth. Unfortunately, I have to respond again. I hope you never find yourself in such a situation. LAUGH more often and be friendly. What does "den Fan cu lo" mean? You called out to me. Is that polite?

08/06/2025: Visitamos Campitello di Fassa a principios de junio y nos sorprendió el número limitado de restaurantes abiertos. Afortunadamente llamamos a este café y nos recibió la camarera muy amable, que rápidamente nos sirvió con cervezas y algunos aperitivos. Tan impresionados con el lugar, que regresamos la noche siguiente y ella nos reconoció de inmediato. De nuevo tenía algo de comida decente y un montón de cervezas. La camarera era una señora encantadora y cuando pagamos, nos dio a todos algunos chasquidos o similar que era como combustible para cohetes. Recommended
14/02/2025: Accolti calorosamente dalla cameriera simpaticissima,spuntino veloce. Toast vegetariano con formaggio insalata e pomodoro vi giuro il migliore che ho mangiato da diversi anni a questa parte. Panino con tonno e insalata e salsa rosa ottimo. Birra alla spina buona..prezzo adeguato . Lo consiglio per simpatia e bontà.

20/01/2026: The interior is very nice: the atmosphere is welcoming, and I particularly appreciated the numerous board games available, which were fun and perfect for spending an evening with friends. Unfortunately, however, the experience was significantly undermined by the service, which I consider inadequate in its customer service, at least on my last visit. To put it in context: two of my friends and I decided to spend the evening here to stay warm and have a drink. We placed our order by writing down on the slip of paper what we would be ordering: a non-alcoholic drink, a waffle, and a Nutella piadina. To indicate the non-alcoholic drink, we wrote "1) Hawaii" (the name of the drink), but the lady who came to take our order misunderstood, interpreting the "1)" as two bars, and therefore brought us two non-alcoholic drinks. Obviously, there was no problem; she had just misread, so we immediately pointed out, politely, that we had only ordered one. The response, however, was rather unpleasant: in a superior tone, we were told that the paper indicated "two" (despite the obvious sign on the front) and, furthermore, that you can't come to a bar just for drinks or just for food, but are obliged to do both. This left us perplexed, considering we had read that the minimum order was €4, so I don't understand why a customer should be forced to spend more just because "you can't order just food or just drinks." My friend explained that she simply wasn't thirsty and that the piadina was enough for her, which is why she wouldn't spend more. The issue of the non-alcoholic drink was clarified, but to the lady's obvious annoyance, even though we were simply explaining the situation calmly. Once we reached the cashier, another problem arose: the menu listed a waffle with cream as €4.50, but we were told that the price had been increased to €5.50. This information was only given to us at the end, after the waffle had already been taken. It's definitely not a question of a single euro, but of fairness: €4.50 for a single waffle already seemed a questionable price to us, and finding out later that the price was actually higher only after we'd finished eating wasn't pleasant. When we simply said, "We thought it was €4.50," we received a disrespectful response, sending us to get the menu, which, however, had already been taken. Luckily, a friend of mine had photographed the menu with the price listed. Upon seeing the photo, the staff refused to look at it and, in front of everyone, they told us, "Come on, girls, if you don't have money, don't come here, go to the oratory, it's better," accompanied by gestures to send us away and phrases like "bye bye, bye, go away," while they talked over us. This despite the fact that we had specified that we were simply curious about the price. Finally, I'd also like to comment on the prices in general, which, in my opinion, are inconsistent with the quality-price ratio and the service received: a waffle with a little whipped cream for €5.50? That seems excessive, especially considering the staff's attitude. I'm truly disappointed, because I really liked the place, but I don't think I'll frequent it again if this is how they treat a customer who's simply trying to speak politely. Finally, I'd add that if Monday was a particularly busy day, which is why we were treated this way, it would have been better to keep the place closed rather than treat customers this way, because in the end, the only one who loses is you.

19/01/2025: Siamo stati solo a pranzo: ambiente ampio, caldo con buona scelta di piatti. Personale gentile. Buono il piatto patate, speck e uova. Situato in un posizione invidiabile, immerso nella natura.
27/10/2024: Dopo l'escursione alle cascate di Stanghe ci siamo fermati in questa Gasthof per una merenda. Eccellente tutto, dal toast al gelato con i lamponi caldi fino allo strudel con gelato. Prezzi ottimi per qualità e quantità! Consigliatissimo!

31/08/2024: Qui si può trovare una eccellente cucina tipica altoatesina. Abbiamo provato diversi piatti e li abbiamo trovati tutti buonissimi con porzioni abbondanti. Ci siamo fermati sia a pranzo che nel pomeriggio nella bellissima terrazza esterna dove abbiamo mangiato dolci impareggiabili (vedi foto)….Tappa obbligatoria!!!
25/08/2024: Piacevole sorpresa. Posto bellissimo , cucina sensazionale, abbiamo conosciuto il cuoco/titolare che fa dei dolci buonissimi essendo un ex pasticcere. Le paste fresche e i primi sono tutti fatti in casa. Uova, speck e patate da 11 e lode , per non parlare della saccher … una bomba. Consiglio a tutti di venire😁

20/09/2024: Passando per una Moena un po' distratta dal fine estate..pensare che il parcheggio centrale era gratis..abbiamo fatto una pausa golosa con un tagliere di patanegra speck riserva e una pancetta strepitosa e formaggi della val di fassa..imperdibili. due calici di teroldego rotaliano spettacolari e poi due caffè eccellenti inaspettati

21/08/2023: Bella location ma prezzi esagerati se rapportati al servizio, alle quantità ed alla qualità. Abbiamo mangiato due goulash con canederli ( 2 canederli ed un assaggio scarso di goulash) una bottiglia d'acqua, un calice di vino ed una insalata. 50 euro!! Servizio scarso per le lunghe attese. Eravamo clienti affezionati ma non torneremo mai più
17/08/2023: Siamo venuti a mangiare qui con molte aspettative ma non sono state ripagate. Il menù era esiguo per i secondi piatti (delle 4 proposte solo 3 disponibili). Buffet di verdure era con poca scelta perché a fine serata non era stato riassortito. Dolci nella norma. Prezzo caro rispetto al servizio dato. Sulla location nulla da ridire: molto bella, con vista panoramica e ambiente curato e famigliare.

12/11/2024: Wir sind durch die ARTE-Sendung "Köstliches Südtirol" auf den Stampferhof und seine traditionellen Speckprodukte aufmerksam geworden. Da war uns klar, daß wir unbedingt einen Ausflug von Eppan nach Völz am Schlern unternehmen würden, um dort in 1150 Metern Höhe traditionell erzeugte Speck- und Wurstprodukte einzukaufen. Ein Ausflug durch eine wunderschöne ursprüngliche Landschaft zu einem einsam gelegenen Bergbauernhof mit einer Speckwerkstatt und Hofladen. Nach dem Einkauf erhielten wir dort den Tipp, in den benachbarten Fronthof einzukehren. Diese Empfehlung war das Highlight unseres Tagesausfluges nach Völs am Schlern. Der Fronthof ist der älteste noch existierende Hangbauernhof Südtirols. Der Ursprung des mit Naturstein-Quadern erbauten spätgotischen Haupthauses geht bis ins 13. Jahrhundert zurück. Heute ist der Fronthof Buschenschank, Ferienhof und Mitgliedsbetrieb der Vereinigung Roter Hahn. Er gehört zu einem kleinen Kreis von bäuerlichen Betrieben, die "Törggelen am Ursprung"-Menues anbieten. Das ist eine Art Südtiroler Erntedankfest, das im Herbst an den Orten wo Wein und Kastanien wachsen traditionell zubereitete hausgemachte Produkte anbietet. Da wir nachmittags dort waren, konnten wir leider das Menue auf der Speisenkarte bewundern und haben statt dessen außergewöhnlich leckere frisch gebackene Mehlspeisen probiert. Der Apfelstrudel war sensationell gut - da kann so manche Konditorei nicht mithalten. Auch die Kirchtags-Strauben waren knusprig-frisch zubereitete Meisterstücke. Das Ambiente der holzgetäfelten Bauernstube mit einem alten Alkoven-Ofen ist warm und gemütlich. Der Fronthof ist wie ein kulturhistorisches Museum mit Traum-Aussicht, in dem man wohnen und genießen kann. Wir können einen Ausflug zu diesem authentischen Bauernhof uneingeschränkt empfehlen - ohne den Tipp des Nachbarn hätten wir ein Highlight in der Region verpaßt. Tipp: Der Fronthof verfügt ebenfalls über einen Hofladen, in dem Speck, Wein und weitere Produkte aus eigener Erzeugung angeboten werden.
