31/01/2026: The man with the long white hair is really grumpy… you ask him for information and he doesn't even answer, and if he does, he does it with a huff. The black guy, on the other hand, is really kind and polite. I wouldn't recommend the first one, but I recommend the last one.

08/11/2025: A vintage venue, surrounded by greenery, with a wonderful view, friendly owners, fast service, and generous dishes! You don't have to be overly pretentious, and you can enjoy the simplicity of a place run by a couple who have undoubtedly spent their entire lives here.

17/10/2025: A small restaurant right next to the top station of the chairlift. Everything is a bit vintage, but somehow still very cozy. From the garden, you have a beautiful panoramic view of Algund and all the way to Merano. The menu offers a good selection of food and drinks. I had a very tasty Kaiserschmarrn (sweet pancake with pancakes). The prices are reasonable. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The senior manager was a very pleasant conversationalist. The short break was worth it.

18/03/2026: It's not a fancy place, but it's perfect if you have to eat out and don't want to spend much. The food is very good and the staff are friendly. If I have to eat out, I'll definitely go there. 7:50 a piadina kebab with a Coke and chips.

09/04/2026: Just avoid it. Tourist trap. Campari Spritz is served as Aperol. After complaining, the drink consists only of Campari and ice. Neat. Undrinkable. Food is uninspired. Water in plastic bottles from Aldi. Good heavens. A completely useless place.

28/12/2025: Embarrassing, I went back hoping I'd been unlucky the first time... 45 minutes waiting for a glass of wine, an hour and twenty minutes after ordering, not even the semblance of a crust of bread... Too bad.

Not only did we wait over 50 minutes for our order to arrive with only a few tables occupied, but we had to repeat the order countless times and request the missing table settings at least four times. For the price, I'd say the service was truly terrible.

25/12/2025: The bar is open, serving a super-large and delicious aperitif. The waiters are very kind and welcoming! A beautiful atmosphere.

20/12/2025: If you want a quick and different than a classic rifugio, here the got pizza! As italian not the best but I think it does the job still. If not crowded service is quick. If crowded can be challenging.

14/03/2026: I had booked a Too Good to Go, but they canceled it on the spot, after making me wait a bit, making up lame excuses, and pretending it was the app. I would have much preferred an honest: "Look, we made a mistake, sorry."

22/03/2026: I sat outside. After waiting half an hour, a very unfriendly woman, a blonde lady with glasses, came yelling at me, demanding to know what I wanted. Without even a greeting or an apology! Then, when I finally wanted to order, she ignored everything and went to another table where my order was taken immediately. I've never experienced such rude and unpleasant service! Luckily, there are other cafes where you receive a warm welcome! Very disappointing... absolutely no consideration for the customers... Never again!

14/02/2026: Last Sunday, I was strolling around Merano with my partner when we stopped at this bar for a thick hot chocolate. We entered and sat at a table where the welcome was uncomfortable and the service terrible. We ordered a large and a small thick chocolate. The waitress replied that the thick ones are only large. So I ordered a thick one too. Well, there wasn't anything thick about it because it tasted like dirty water and the cocoa powder lingered in your mouth with an unpleasant aftertaste. The icing on the cake was when I politely went to the counter to ask for a glass of Mayor's water and the barista asked me: "Did you order a cafe?" I replied, "No, two hot chocolates." She replied that they only gave water to those who ordered a cafe; otherwise, it would be an extra burden for them if everyone asked for a glass of water! Well, I'd never heard of such a thing, and she started grumbling at me, and we decided to leave. When I paid, I gave her the €8 for the two chocolates and said, "I'll leave you €2 for the water I didn't drink because your colleague didn't serve it to me." I'll conclude by saying that I strongly advise against this place for anything, and that since I also work in a job where I provide customer service, the customer needs to be taken care of in every way, because they're the ones who pay us!
