18/09/2025: Luckily, I listened to the recent reviews and not the stars. The pizza was outstanding. Really, really good!

13/09/2025: My experience at this restaurant was unfortunately disappointing in several respects. The service was inattentive and disorganized, with excessive wait times and a general lack of courtesy from the staff. Even more disappointing was the quality of the food. I therefore believe the restaurant needs to substantially rethink both its service management and the quality of its cuisine, otherwise it will be difficult to consider for future visits.

30/09/2025: They actually microwave their food. I ordered lasagna, and it was very hot on the sides and cold underneath. Despite that, it tasted good. The waitress had a dismissive attitude – she saw we were still considering our order, yet she stood over us, saying something in Italian in a very rude tone. Then, without warning, she threw the tableware so close to us that if we hadn't moved away, it could have touched us.

26/09/2025: The food/carbonara tasted like it had been frozen beforehand. The waitress was nice, but the others were very unpleasant and seemed bitter (the woman behind the bar and another who just said hello to people). When I paid, there was no thank you or goodbye. For a coffee or a drink, it's a sweet spot.

26/06/2025: Veramente un bel locale, dove a fianco di piatti tipici della montagna trentina offfrono e anche alcuni piatti per i tanti turisti straneri, sopratutto bikers, che cercano gli spaghetti in qualsiasi parte d'Italia si trovino, Noi abbiamo optato per piatti tipici come i Canedeli al burro fuso (veramente ottimi!) e polenta con varietà di carni arrostite alla griglia, patate arrostite e cavolo cappuccio in insalata. Una cucina sincera, semplice, saporita e ben fatta. Ottimo il servizio, puntuale, senza fronzoli ed efficiente. Belli anche i dolci visti nelle tavole dei vicini, ma noi oggettivamente non eravamo più in grado di ingurgitare nulla...

02/10/2025: I stopped here after a long hike. It was the only restaurant open in the area (late summer season), so I had no other options, and LUCKILY! There are some negative reviews, but having tried their traditional dishes, I don't understand the criticism. I found the dishes tasty and traditional, and the staff kind and welcoming.

19/10/2025: Excellent restaurant!! I had a great time, the staff were very kind, the food was very good (obviously you can't expect freshly baked food at the buffet, but it was still good), and the sushi was also good! (A little too much rice, but honestly, it was still very good.) I'll definitely be back!!

16/09/2025: I'm sorry to write such a negative review, but for us, it was the worst experience we've ever had at a restaurant. Three of us went there, and we all felt sick. One of my children had severe stomach cramps all night and couldn't go to school the next day. The sushi is poor, with too much rice, and the rice isn't flavorful at all. The Chinese buffet is also pretty low quality. They even pass off meat covered in breadcrumbs as scallops. The steamed dumplings (which we usually love) were truly pitiful. And let's leave aside the egg rolls... And the staff even dared to tell my son "more!" when he asked for more when we hadn't ordered almost anything. We didn't eat much (luckily...), but we also left with bloated, painful bellies and dizziness.

09/08/2025: Una pausa pranzo con i fiocchi! Nonostante l'affluenza, la nostra attesa è stata minima. I ragazzi sono molto cordiali e pronti al sorriso. Ottimo il piatto di roast beef, molto buona la birra alla spina; pane fresco e vista completano una piacevolissima sosta.

05/08/2025: Quando ho visto il lama e poi i due cammelli, non ci volevo credere, mi sono sembrati un poco fuori luogo, poi una volta seduto al tavolino davanti a delle costine di maiale ed a uno stinco favoloso, con una buona birra ed un paesaggio incantevole, ho dimenticato sia il lama che il cammello. Dal laghetto di Fiè, è una piacevole passeggiata, e merita di essere effettuata. Prezzi corretti Animali ammessi.

24/10/2025: We've been guests in Algund for years and regularly, often several times, at the Ruster Restaurant. The food was, as always, great, and the prices reasonable, even compared to other restaurants. The service, as always, was friendly and attentive. However, I really miss the South Tyrolean dialect of the service staff; they're increasingly speaking Italian, but we are in Italy after all :-) My only criticism, unfortunately, is the boss himself... I would expect a restaurateur and hotelier to at least briefly greet (not greet) his guests as they pass by. Two weeks ago on Sunday, we were at the beer garden for dinner, and some guests had asked the waiter to turn off the heaters because it was getting a bit chilly. At some point, Mr. Reinthaler came out, rather grumpy, walked past the guests without a quick greeting, and turned on the heaters. But as I said, this is our only "criticism," but it won't stop us from returning to the Ruster on our next vacation in Algund.

31/07/2025: Siamo andati per un dolce e un caffè. Bella la location e la terrazza panoramica. Ottima la comodità della seggiovia lì vicina. Totalmente assurdi i 3,5€ per un litro d’acqua, per altro non riportata nel menù. Lo strudel discreto ma….i pinoli costano troppo??????

31/07/2025: Ho trovato un abbassamento della qualità importante . Ci sono stato molte volte negli ultimi anni, ma devo dire che i piatti serviti non mi hanno convinto. Visti i prezzi mi aspetterei di più da primi e secondi . Personale sempre gentile, ma solo con questo la pancia non si accontenta .

15/10/2025: Bad food. Chicken thighs with wedges, which you can make better at home in an air fryer. Goulash with three chunks of meat that won't fill anyone up. A "salad buffet" and a breakfast buffet like you'd find at a school camp or a prison. Arrogant, incompetent staff with rudimentary German. Outrageous drink prices (0.5 L water: €4). Never again.

24/08/2025: This isn't our first time staying here, and we felt pampered once again. Lara and her mother are extraordinary people who make you feel at home. The food is excellent, the rooms are clean, and the hospitality is extraordinary. Highly recommended!!!

22/07/2025: Questo posto è perfetto per una serata tranquilla e non rumorosa. Servizio Top assoluta tranquillità. Prodotti di alta qualità specialità regionali non solo locali eseguiti secondo la tradizione. Ho chiesto la vera cotoletta alla milanese (e Viennese) di vitello con l'osso cotta nel burro chiarificato e mi è stata accolta la richiesta.

18/07/2025: Le pizze da asporto che abbiamo ordinato non erano solo belle ma anche molto buone. Oltre a questo, un dettaglio non da sottovalutare è l'utilizzo di cartoni per l'asporto composto da fibre vegetali e privo di sbiancanti chimici. Non posso che dire Bravissimi per le scelte degli ingredienti (tutti)!!

19/10/2025: I ordered takeout, but I didn't get what I wanted. After I complained, they brought me the correct food, charging me extra money, and I'd already tasted the sandwiches. Unacceptable, totally disgusting, I strongly advise against it.

12/10/2025: Actually great, but no dogs allowed. UPDATE: One year later, dogs are still not allowed. According to the owner, he's even considering banning them from the campsite altogether. While Lake Toblach invites you to a lovely walk with your family and dog, this restaurant unfortunately only allows you to wind down with your dog during the summer. While we were allowed to bring our dog inside last year, after the renovations, this is now only permitted on the outdoor terrace. So today we had to sit outside in 14°C, with neither cushions nor blankets available. Customer service is different. We only ate one, admittedly very tasty, pizza, but saved the coffee and dessert for the seven of us – revenue that the restaurant only lost because we weren't allowed to bring the dog inside. Another thing worth mentioning is that the lights in the restrooms are turned on using a button, which is then connected to a timer – the lights stay on for two minutes. This is a bit inconvenient if the previous occupant's light is still on when you enter the restroom and you're then unpleasantly surprised when you do your business. Apart from the small detail with the light and the detail with the dog, which was particularly annoying to us, the restaurant is highly recommended. We would have otherwise given it a four or five-star review today.

12/03/2025: Bel locale molto luminoso, personale sorridente, veloci nel servire, ottimi piatti preparati come da tradizione, esperienza da ripetere, torneremo sicuramente anche per i percorsi naturalistici ed i luoghi vicini, degni di nota.

22/01/2025: Nei pressi di Neveland, dopo esser saliti con la seggiovia, c'è la possibilità di pranzare in questo splendido rifugio di montagna, dotato di panche all'aperto e tavolini all'interno. La location è accogliente e abbastanza confortevole, il menù rappresenta il territorio ed è degno di nota nelle proposte, belle sia da vedere che ottime nei sapori. Il servizio è accogliente e disponibile, ma soprattutto nei weekend c'è parecchia affluenza, siamo stati fortunati a trovare subito un tavolo all'interno. I prezzi sono medio alti, da considerare il contesto. Ottima esperienza, consigliato.
