08/07/2025: A very nice hotel to stay for a week of skiing. The rooms are very nice, with very comfortable carpeting. The only drawback was the bathroom, which was quite small. Going down to the ground floor, you'll find several rooms, including: a corridor leading to the pool, gym, and sauna (which I absolutely recommend); the dining room, with a buffet at the beginning of every meal; and a relaxation room where, after dinner or lunch, you can unwind by playing cards or asking the receptionist for board games. (The relaxation room also has a bar where you can order drinks and food.) The food is very good and high-quality, and the waiters are very friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was that some features, like the PlayStation room, tepidarium, etc., weren't as advertised in the hotel description.

04/02/2025: It is one of the best places we’ve ever been. The hotel is beautiful with a vintage vibe. The staff is very helpful always ready to make your stay perfect. The rooms are always clean. I recommend it for anyone. We are here with a 1 year old baby and I can confirm that it is a good place to stay for families.

04/09/2025: A snack with ham and cheese for €19.50 was a joke at that price. Nothing filling. The photo shown in the menu was much more substantial.

01/09/2025: A beautiful mountain hut, perfect for families with children. It's welcoming and full of activities and games (ping pong, sandbox, trampoline, swings, golf, volleyball net, soccer goal), and further down the valley, a cage with delightful rabbits and goats. Excellent, high-quality food, a little different from the usual offerings while still maintaining a rustic Tyrolean style. I recommend the spaetzle with venison ragù, which is truly exceptional, and the Kaisersmarren (with pine nuts added 😋). The staff are super friendly and helpful; the owner offered us grappa and bitters and provided lots of information. It's a bit of a hassle getting there with kids, but it's definitely worth it! I recommend staying at least a couple of hours.

17/02/2025: Baita ristorante posizionato nella splendida piana della Val Duron. Buona accoglienza e personale gentile. Locali ristrutturati molto bene e puliti. Zuppa d'orzo buonissima, prezzi nella media. Per apprezzare a pieno la location spettacolare merita salire a piedi, in inverno meglio avere al seguito i ramponcini

05/02/2025: Ho ordinato la polenta con il cervo e mi hanno portato una polenta slavata di quelle precotte e pronte in cinque minuti e la porzione di cervo era scarsa e la carne dura.

27/10/2025: We booked this place for Torggelen. Unfortunately, some of the typical Torggelen dishes (like Schlutzkrapfen) weren't available. The sausage and pork loin were good, but the dumplings were rather dry. The dessert was so-so. The chestnuts were brought to the nearby tables; they didn't ask us if we wanted them, and when I asked, they told us we'd have to wait a little longer (it was 2:30 PM and we'd been there since 12), so we didn't order them. It was quite expensive for what we ate, although since we didn't receive a receipt, we're not sure what we spent on what. The location is nice, the stable with the animals and the view of the valley are nice, but for what we ate and how much we spent, I wouldn't return.

28/08/2025: I haven't had such delicious apple strudel in a long time. Everything is freshly baked! Fair prices! Highly recommended!

09/10/2025: I ate here about two months ago, and I can assure you that Mr. Francesco's cooking is delicious. I had seafood spaghetti and mixed fried fish, and they were truly excellent. I recommend you try them.

24/05/2025: Highly recommended! A super-friendly host family. Clean and well-sized rooms. They do everything a guest's heart desires. Bressanone is easily accessible – the bus stop is right next to the hotel. Hiking and excursion options are fantastic. The breakfast is excellent – ​​especially the freshly made eggs. The half-board meals were also consistently delicious, always with vegetarian options. We would love to come back. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

21/06/2025: Siempre un gran lugar para parar para tomar una copa, comida y para sentarse y admirar las impresionantes vistas. Siempre me siento bienvenido aquí y he parado aquí muchas veces en las 5 veces que hemos estado en Ortisei.

02/03/2025: Ich bin während dem Skifahren hier spontan eingekehrt. Ehrlich gesagt nur aufgrund der Namensgleicheit. Ich dachte, mit dem namen, kanns ja nur gut sein. So war es auch. Ich wurde freundlich begrüßt und platziert. Der Service war schnell, und aufmerksam. Zwischendurch dauertes es mal etwas länger, aber die Terrasse war voll, von daher ok. Die Speisen waren gut und reichlich. Ich denke, da gibt es nichts zu meckern. An die Meckererin den anderen Bewertungen bzgl. der hohen Preise. Leider ist es nicht nur hier sehr teuer geworden und sondern leider überall. Jagertee für 6 Euro, Cheeseburger für 24 habe ich woanders zahlen müssen. Das ist heute leider der Standard. Das liegt nicht an den Wirten, sondern an den exorbitanten Preissteigerungen bei Energie, Personal und Rohstoffe. Was im Supermarkt teurer wird, ist natürlich auch für den Wirt teurer. OK, nach dem Schwenk wieder zurück: Die Daniel Hütte ist wärmstens zu empfehlen. Den fantastischen Blick auf Lang- und Plattkofel gibt es übrigens gratis dazu.

30/08/2025: We stumbled upon this place by chance. We had the vegetable lasagna, the ragù lasagna, the dumplings, the strudel, and the shortbread biscuits. EVERYTHING DELICIOUS!! If you're in the area, I highly recommend it; you won't be disappointed! The lady at the restaurant was also very kind.
