25/02/2026: I don't like writing reviews, but this time I really feel the need. I hope I can be polite and objective enough so that anyone reading can form their own opinion. This morning we stopped by the Steinerhof to book a table for two for dinner. A very kind young woman greeted us and took our reservation. We returned for dinner and were greeted instead by a gentleman, perhaps a waiter, perhaps the owner, who claimed not to speak Italian. In English, I informed him of our reservation and he showed us to a side room. We ordered two bottles of water and a small beer in English. He brought us the water in two glasses. We asked for the bottle of sparkling water, which cost us a hefty €5.20. He also charged us for the glasses of water. We waited a good ten minutes before he brought us the menu, then the waiter disappeared. He reappeared to escort a group of locals who were leaving their table and ignored us. After a quarter of an hour, my husband decides to go to the main dining room, calling the Italian-speaking waiter's attention. He decides to come and take our order, which we still have to communicate in English or German. We order boiled potatoes (lightly cooked) with cheese and three dumplings with cabbage salad. We wait again for about a quarter of an hour, with the dining room completely empty. The picture of the dumplings I've attached to this review probably gives a good idea: completely dry and hard. The experience ends shortly afterward because we decide to go to the cashier to pay the bill ourselves. We had to explicitly ask for the receipt in Italian. This time, it seems the man understood. We won't be returning. Hostile.

13/06/2026: We arrived to restaurant, we asked waiter for the table and after 15 minutes we were still for the waiter to order. No one’s come even if they see us. The staff has really unpleasant approach.!!!

15/03/2026: Unfortunately, a very unpleasant experience. The place was full of drunk patrons who caused a lot of noise and chaos. We pointed this out to the bouncer, but he didn't intervene, probably because they were his friends. Very disappointing.

22/07/2026: A very large selection of delicious bread and pastries. Very friendly service.

04/02/2026: Even after delivery to Brixen, the carnival doughnuts were still fresh and delicious! Highly recommended!

24/03/2026: We were there for lunch. Everything was delicious and at a great price.... The service was pleasant..

18/03/2026: Country inn with a pizzeria. Pizza is prepared fresh on-site, and there's a large selection, as well as other dishes like meat and fish on the menu. The trout was delicious. The service was attentive, but unfortunately, the ambiance was lacking: too bright, and some of the tables were very large. It was quite noisy, especially at the tables near the entrance, as many guests were picking up their pizzas themselves.

27/12/2025: A place with beautiful windows offering a view. The hot chocolate with cream is delicious.

22/12/2025: The menu is very tourist-oriented. Having to pay for the food before it's served was a bit of a letdown. The food was average. The chicken and fries were good. The Wiener Schnitzel was okay. The Kaiserschmarren was really good.

03/03/2026: A cozy pizzeria with lovingly set tables. Very reasonable prices for the location and excellent pizzas. Definitely worth a visit. However, the menu is limited to pizzas, with only a few appetizers and desserts available. Perhaps that's a good thing... it helps maintain the authenticity. We'll be back!

17/06/2026: We stayed one night at the Gasthof Hotel Sonne while passing through. The owners were very friendly and helpful to my wife, who has severe mobility issues. The room and food were very good. Unfortunately, I couldn't use the swimming pool because I didn't have my swimsuit with me.

09/06/2026: I stopped for dinner. The food was plentiful and good quality. It's located in the upper part of town with a beautiful view of the valley. A very quiet location. Prices were slightly lower than average.

28/05/2026: Our first evening in Dorf Tirol was a disappointment. Schnitzel with fries and a side salad. Everything was tasteless, including the salad dressing, which was served afterward. With a few drinks, it came to €96. Just typical tourist fare... last year was better.

24/05/2026: We were here in the afternoon, unfortunately the full menu was no longer available. Only cold appetizers were left!

25/10/2025: Best place for drinks in Bz, top prices, service, they even bring you canapés galore, family run which is what we like 😉 super and always helpful staff, despite the area on weekends there is security that makes you feel safer

09/06/2026: Service is very good, the restaurant has indian and italian food, the Italian food is simple, decent nothing crazy. The indian food is a bit pricier but it's very good. However i wouldnt recommend ordering indian on a hot day

03/03/2026: Nice place, but we didn't manage to eat anything because we arrived at the busiest time when the bar is closed and the restaurant isn't open yet. But the worst thing was the owner's gruff and unfriendly attitude.

23/04/2026: We tried three pizzas, and they were DELICIOUS—words can't describe them. The service was also incredible, and the prices were reasonable. I would go back a thousand times.

09/04/2026: We ate at this restaurant on Easter Sunday. Excellent value for money. They also serve pizza for lunch. Delicious platters with local cheeses and cured meats. Friendly and welcoming staff. We'll be back...

16/10/2025: Great! Super tasty, fresh, and very friendly!

16/10/2025: We came here for breakfast and it was simply fantastic! A very nice bakery, very stylish and harmoniously decorated, as it's also a small café. The waitresses are both very friendly and patient, especially when you're a bit lost in the hustle and bustle. The rolls taste excellent, and the orange juice is truly freshly squeezed. It's like biting right into the fruit. If we could give it more stars, we would.

25/03/2026: Starting point of hiking trail. Parking is available. We did the hiking during winter, it is an easy trail. Some people is doing cross country skiing.

17/02/2026: A fantastic crossroads of different paths, excellent cuisine and very friendly service, the desserts are special because they are homemade! The staff is kind and always smiling ❤️
