08/07/2026: Excellent, special ice cream, delicious and special pastries. The staff, 10+ if I had to give a smack. In fact, I go often. Karin and Ira are the most special people I've ever met ❤️🥰

27/06/2026: I used to come here all the time as a child and only returned after a long time, since I moved away. I have to say the cakes/tarts didn't taste fresh at all and were very dry. Plus, the portions were very small for the price; you can get better value for money even in Bolzano's old town. The service was also quite unfriendly, and we were addressed in Italian several times, even though I was speaking German. My skin color was probably a factor. A real shame...

21/05/2026: A hotel just as you could wish for. Excellent cuisine, friendly and efficient staff, a cozy atmosphere, and a superbly stocked drinks menu. We will be back!

11/04/2026: Rude staff. Weren’t patient. No lactose free or sorbet icecream options. They told my wife they won’t take on the “liability” of her lactose intolerance. Not even an allergy, just an intolerance. As a hotel. Unreal. Just go to one of the other places. You’ll have a better experience with less rude staff.

24/02/2026: Terrible place, decent food, rude and incompetent staff, reservation on the fork at 9:15 pm, at 9:22 pm, the waiter asked us if we were ready to order, sitting for less than 2 minutes we asked for a little more time to decide, the waiter SIGHTED us, LOOKED AT THE CLOCK and indicated to hurry up, I was already getting nervous, we decide quickly what to eat, bad choice, the waiter comes back after calling him, I tell him that my girlfriend is celiac, he looks at her disconcerted, he doesn't even know what it means, he is the one in charge of taking orders, IN CHARGE OF TAKING ORDERS, he has to go to the kitchen to ask what gluten is, the portions were meager, tasting dishes, in fact the tasting menu courses were the same, incredible, the braised beef had a piece of meat, tasty yes, but at €26, they took such a hurry to take the orders, then they left us 5 minutes with the dish Dirty. When we complained to the front desk, prompted by the receptionist's question, we didn't even get an apology, but instead were charged an extra 5 cents. The receptionist used a calculator to calculate 40-37.75, which then became 37.80. She absolutely wanted a 5-cent tip. Working in a hotel, these are the flaws I've noticed. WE WILL DEFINITELY RETURN TOMORROW! Even though my girlfriend was mistaken for the owner's daughter, apparently with the same name, they didn't give her any special treatment. On the contrary.

01/09/2025: A lovely mountain hut, easily accessible from Val Piana, both by car (if you're a guest) and on foot (about a 20-minute walk, easily manageable even for those with limited fitness levels, as it's on a dirt road). The food is typical mountain hut fare. Unfortunately, there's not much room to stretch out or perhaps rest in the sun, but if you want to grab a bite to eat after visiting Val Piana (which is wonderful), it's easily doable.

04/04/2026: The fries were lukewarm and not really fresh, there were long wait times even when it wasn't busy, the quality of the main courses was mediocre, and they were expensive. Because of the great location, it might be worth stopping for a drink, but that's about it.

29/03/2026: It’s a great spot. Staff are great but the food is just so bad I had to write this. Iv had better canned beef on a military exercise.

20/02/2026: We waited a full two hours for our delivery, even though we were only two streets away. The delivery app said 30-50 minutes. If we had known that, we wouldn't have ordered. The food was also really bad. The taco was soggy, you couldn't even tell what was in it, and the sauce definitely wasn't the one we ordered. Other items we ordered were mixed up. When I called after an hour of waiting to ask how long it would take, they said: "We're the next delivery," which then took another (!!!) hour. Unfortunately, we can't recommend them...

21/01/2026: The best burger my wife and I have ever eaten. The fries were delicious and crispy. You can even order two sauces with your burger. The garlic sauce is highly recommended. It's so good you could drink it. The staff were friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back. #yummi

14/03/2026: The overall experience was truly wonderful. The restaurant is small and intimate, meticulously maintained and tastefully decorated, creating an immediate welcoming atmosphere. The kitchen is open to the public, and although small, it greatly enriches the experience by allowing you to see the work and attention to detail behind each dish. We chose a tasting menu with several courses, a true journey that accompanied us throughout the evening. The vegetarian offerings are truly top-notch: creative, well-balanced, and never banal. You can sense a great deal of attention to ingredients, textures, and flavors, and each course manages to surprise. Another great strength was the service: the waitress who looked after us throughout the dinner was truly excellent, helpful, and passionate. She carefully explained each dish to us and helped make the experience even more enjoyable. Even the chef, at the end of the dinner, walked around the tables to chat with the guests, a much-appreciated gesture. We left extremely satisfied: to simply say that everything was good would be an understatement. It was a complete and very pleasant experience. Highly recommended.

25/02/2026: I don't like writing reviews, but this time I really feel the need. I hope I can be polite and objective enough so that anyone reading can form their own opinion. This morning we stopped by the Steinerhof to book a table for two for dinner. A very kind young woman greeted us and took our reservation. We returned for dinner and were greeted instead by a gentleman, perhaps a waiter, perhaps the owner, who claimed not to speak Italian. In English, I informed him of our reservation and he showed us to a side room. We ordered two bottles of water and a small beer in English. He brought us the water in two glasses. We asked for the bottle of sparkling water, which cost us a hefty €5.20. He also charged us for the glasses of water. We waited a good ten minutes before he brought us the menu, then the waiter disappeared. He reappeared to escort a group of locals who were leaving their table and ignored us. After a quarter of an hour, my husband decides to go to the main dining room, calling the Italian-speaking waiter's attention. He decides to come and take our order, which we still have to communicate in English or German. We order boiled potatoes (lightly cooked) with cheese and three dumplings with cabbage salad. We wait again for about a quarter of an hour, with the dining room completely empty. The picture of the dumplings I've attached to this review probably gives a good idea: completely dry and hard. The experience ends shortly afterward because we decide to go to the cashier to pay the bill ourselves. We had to explicitly ask for the receipt in Italian. This time, it seems the man understood. We won't be returning. Hostile.

08/08/2026: We stopped in as a group of seven people with varying dietary needs (including gluten, lactose intolerance, and vegetarian). This was our first time here, and we were spoiled for choice. Everything was excellent and safe, and the mushroom crepes were out of this world. Excellent and very friendly service.

27/07/2026: A charming café with lots of delicious food and drinks, all vegan and incredibly tasty, super friendly staff, a cozy atmosphere – what more could you want? You simply don't want to leave! We felt very comfortable and can truly recommend this café to anyone who is open to new experiences.
