02/05/2026: Completely renovated, the staff and owners are always very friendly, there's a huge selection of croissants, they can even fill them for you on the spot as you like, excellent quality and ready-made dishes for a quick lunch or takeaway, very clean. A smile is always present!

We came here after work, recommended by friends. It's a very nice, modern, and well-kept place.
Young, friendly people, a wide selection of appetizers accompanied by excellent food.
A truly wonderful discovery that I recommend trying and where we'll definitely return.

29/05/2026: Nice pizza pickup store, but unfortunately it's listed as a restaurant on Google Maps, which led us to believe we could eat the pizza there... Not so fast! We ate the very tasty pizza in the nearby park.
06/04/2026: We stayed in the area for a few days and came here to pick up pizzas to eat in our apartment. The service was quick, the pizzas were tasty, and the price was certainly good! Highly recommended.

04/06/2026: We've already been to Waldea (formerly Waldschänke) four times this year and left delighted every time. The quality of the food is consistently excellent. We can wholeheartedly recommend the carpaccio and the dumpling duo – both were delicious and beautifully presented.
But what truly makes Waldea special for us is the warm hospitality. The waiters and managers are exceptionally attentive, friendly, and always in good spirits. You feel welcome and well taken care of from the very first moment.
We're already looking forward to our next visit and can recommend Waldea to anyone who appreciates good food, a beautiful atmosphere, and genuine South Tyrolean hospitality.
01/06/2026: The location is almost unique. A stunning view over Merano and the surrounding mountains. The food was superb. Excellent South Tyrolean cuisine. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to take a break on the Marlinger Forest Trail. Of course, they also offer coffee and sweets.

15/05/2026: The appetizer was very good... it tasted like seafood, the first courses were too oily, not so much the seafood flavor as the oily one. The downside was that we wanted to stop frying the food, but they wouldn't stop us, saying it was already breaded! The only solution was to take it away! Well, let's leave it for later. We'll definitely return for the appetizer.

02/06/2026: Manuel Hofer's restaurant combines regional specialties with modern fusion elements, consistently creating new culinary experiences. From the amuse-bouche to dessert, everything is freshly prepared in-house. The food is of exceptional quality, and individual requests were always accommodated. The ambiance is very modern, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and meadows. Definitely worth a visit!

30/08/2025: We stumbled upon this place by chance.
We had the
vegetable lasagna, the ragù lasagna, the dumplings, the strudel, and the shortbread biscuits. EVERYTHING DELICIOUS!!
If you're in the area, I highly recommend it; you won't be disappointed!
The lady at the restaurant was also very kind.

Gasthof Hotel Sonne

19/09/2025: We spent a wonderful, relaxing week visiting castles, churches, Marienberg Abbey, and discovering the Venosta Valley, rich in apple orchards. We enjoyed every moment spent with Melania (the owner), savored the food, and, despite being the only Italians in the hotel on some days, we managed to communicate with the table next to us, learning a few German phrases. We'll take home a wonderful memory. Thank you 😘 to the staff!
