29/07/2025: One of the best pizzas I've ever had. I've been coming to Sarteano for three years, and they've become my favorite pizzeria. You can tell they use top-quality, fresh ingredients.
The desserts are also excellent. I highly recommend trying it; you won't regret it.

17/01/2026: Unfortunately, the original Giuliano (Gagliano) was another world: his hospitality, his friendliness, his authentic and "Tuscan" simple dishes are no longer there. The "new" Gagliano is a cold environment with quality food light years away from the dishes I've enjoyed for 25 years, since it opened. The menu is "banal."
Giuliano, we miss you.

Good food, small and charming atmosphere. The pici all'aglione and tagliatelle ai funghi were amazing!
A word of advice: make a reservation!!!

02/11/2025: I visited this charming campsite as a child with my parents, and I remember playing on the lawns, hanging out with the kids, and swimming in the pool. Several years have passed, and I decided to return with my children. I especially enjoyed the thermal mineral pools and their healing properties, as well as the children's areas like the playground and the pool with slides. As a parent, I also recommend this campsite for its cleanliness and nighttime surveillance (essential for safety). We chose the Lux glamping option...highly recommended! We'll definitely be back next year.
20/10/2025: Stayed a couple of nights at the end of Sept. It was ok; nothing special and a bit overpriced bearing in mind pools etc were already shut. Maybe we just caught it right at the end of its season and not at its best. It served a purpose for us but wouldn’t revisit.

20/10/2025: Our wine tasting with Beatrice and Stefano was extraordinary. Even though we were at our friends home, they thought about every detail. Beautiful glasses (scarily fragile!!!!!!). homemade antipasti ( delicious) and table settings.
They are incredibly knowledgable, passionate and engaging. More enjoyable, because not so much a presentation, more a personal conversation. which never felt rushed, no matter how basic our questions were. Every question was welcomed with enthusiasm and depth. Their wine selection showcased their passion for the wines of the Val D´Orcia. We were truly left with a feeling of genuine warmth and desire to inform. Cannot recommend highly enough. We had the best evening.

08/10/2025: Private wine tasting
We asked Beatrice and Stefano to present a wine tasting at our villa when we were with our friends. Wow, what an evening we had with them, they were charming, entertaining and ever so knowledgeable, in fact Beatrice explained that she was a fully qualified sommelier!
They came with a very interesting selection of wines and homemade focaccia, sliced meats and cheeses and even their own glasses. They talked about each wine informatively but without technical language, we learned so much about winemaking in this corner of Tuscany. We would recommend this private wine tasting to anyone who has even a passing interest in wine. For the fee, this evening was incredible value, they surpassed all our expectations and this was certainly the highlight of our week.

05/10/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant in the historic center of Sarteano, and what can I say? It was a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was homey, and the owner offered us delicious Cinta Senese ham as an appetizer. We ordered: a platter of cured meats and cheeses, pici all'aglione, ravioli with butter and sage, baked potatoes, biscotti and vin santo, red wine and coffee. Everything was delicious and carefully prepared. The portions were generous, and the prices were more than fair. We'll definitely be back!

However, if you want to dive into the past in a 1970s-style working-class atmosphere, this is the place for you. It seats less than 50 people, and is structured more like a bar than a restaurant. The food is standard, probably more suitable for a business lunch. The atmosphere is very family-friendly.

10/09/2025: Beautiful hotel with quiet, spacious rooms. A venerable, well-renovated, well-maintained, and harmoniously furnished hotel. A beautiful garden with a terrace on the city walls offers views all the way to Lake Trasimeno.
Good breakfast buffet.
Mr. Seku took excellent care of everything.

26/08/2025: A property nestled in a truly fascinating area, among olive groves and vineyards. Perhaps it deserves a little more attention, but we had a pleasant weekend. The food was also delicious. The prima donnas, the cat princess, and her fox friend. The service, especially in the evening, was attentive and attentive.

14/12/2025: A terrible experience and absolutely NOT to be repeated.
The prices on the menu did not even begin to match the ones we were charged at the end, which is already a serious problem. The food, among other things, was mediocre, nothing special, and definitely not up to the asking price.
The platter listed at €15 on the menu cost €20 because they decided to make it "large" without charging us anything. A forced choice, and obviously more expensive.
The tagliolini with mushrooms, listed at €13, magically became €15 because "the prices on the tablet had changed." That's their problem, not the customer's.
Even the coffees: €2 instead of €1.50 as listed on the menu.
We went in to ask for an explanation in a civilized manner, and the cashier, besides NOT apologizing in the slightest, actually insulted us loudly as we left. Disgraceful and unacceptable behavior.
Unfriendly and rude waiters, zero professionalism, and a total lack of respect for customers.
A place I absolutely cannot recommend. Avoid.
