26/07/2025: Very fair prices! For a plain brioche, a homemade pizza, two bottles of water, and a rice cake (both homemade and takeout), we spent only €6. The location is very convenient: near the Coop, a little further on from the Pam, with Fandango and Douglas next door, in a fairly central area of San Miniato Basso. A very simple but charming location, with nice tables and very comfortable chairs, and above all, a very bright atmosphere. The staff is extremely kind, friendly, and helpful: a lady and a young woman, both very nice! They even kindly gave us an extra rice cake. Highly recommended! The only flaw: they don't have many gelato flavors (but they do have the classics), and during our visit, the air conditioning was broken—but that's certainly not their fault.

24/07/2025: Invited to celebrate a birthday in excellent company, we found this place to be ideal for the event with a room practically all our own. Quick and professional table service with friendly staff. The menu offers a decent choice of dishes that can satisfy all palates. In particular, I recommend it to those who like wild boar ragù because for the first time I enjoyed it cooked in their own way with a small dose of chilli which gave it that extra note of flavor that I really appreciated without burning. The outdoor environment is large and has a decent swimming pool to enjoy in the summer months.

15/08/2025: I haven't tried the other restaurants in San Miniato, but as a waiter, I can say that the prices are absolutely fair for the quality of the food. Generous portions, simple cuisine, and the owner and waiter are phenomenal. Their friendliness and smiles put you at ease right away. They even offered us a complimentary amaro, which is always a welcome addition.

22/07/2025: The tagliolini with white truffle were delicious. They tried to cram too many tables into a small space, and it was practically a huge table. You may like it or not. The menu rating is more than adequate, but the ordering process needs rethinking. You can't wait 50 minutes for a plate of cold cuts. The table next door (right next door), who arrived two minutes before us, were waiting for dessert, while we were still waiting for our appetizer. We deliberately didn't bother anyone because I wanted to see how long they'd go. The waitress and the owner walked past us forty times, but they never noticed that while everyone else was eating, we only had water and wine on the table, and, I repeat, the room is very small. When we pointed this out to the owner at the end of the meal, fortunately he didn't make any strange remarks, but once he realized it, he tried to "make up for it" by offering dessert.

02/08/2025: Easy one of the best dinners we had in Matera. First off, the place is beautiful, make a reservation to ensure you get a spot on the terrace, as the view is lovely. The food is delicious and the portions are quite big, so you get value for your money. We particularly loved the potato pie (this was the best part), the arancini and the pasta. The tiramisu wasn't the best, you can probably skip it. The service was good, not over the top friendly but quick and efficient. They can definitely work a bit on the music, which at times doesn't suit the atmosphere. All in all, it's a lovely place for a nice, romantic and really delicious dinner in Matera :)

19/05/2025: If you're passing through San Miniato, stop by Maurizio's. The products they offer are delicious and of high quality. I recommend you try his excellent homemade ice cream and his homemade biscotti. Maurizio is also very friendly and welcoming.

19/05/2025: Highly recommended for sandwiches to take on your walk ( via Francigena) Marizio opens at 7 am with fresh sandwiches We can recommend the tomato and mozzarella and the prosciutto and mozzarella We also tried the Tiramisu which was delicious Very friendly service

10/08/2025: Extremely spacious apartments, equipped with every comfort. Freedom to use all the outdoor spaces, friendly and discreet owners. The prices are very fair (which is appreciated these days). I should also add that it is in a convenient location, in the middle of the countryside, so the climate is breezy. I had a great time and felt right at home. Highly recommend it.

26/05/2025: The first time I went there, I thought the price was a little high, but when I saw the sandwich I changed my mind, tasty, and full of ingredients. I found it really delicious! I go back often and willingly... too bad they eliminated the one with the edible gold from the menu because it was truly spectacular!
