09/08/2025: Last night I dined at Sementis, a vegan restaurant in Pietrasanta, and as an omnivore, I have to say it was a surprising experience. Many of the dishes I chose faithfully replicated the omnivorous flavors I'm fond of. Honorable mention for the recommended wine: a refermented Trebbiano served by the glass, a sparkling white with a lingering, aromatic flavor. For an appetizer, I tried their caciucco: both the broth and the "solid" part (tempeh instead of fish) were exquisite and faithful to the original. I then tried their vegan version of sushi: some were excellent, others a bit too neutral, lacking contrast and a smoky note to liven them up. The bao, a reinterpretation of the classic sandwich with pulled pork and vegetables, were very good: focused flavors, perfect texture, truly satisfying. For dessert, the vegan tiramisu was good overall, although the coffee was too mild for my taste and the cream wasn't quite as rich as the classic version. Special praise goes to the staff and owner: kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming, they made me feel at home. I highly recommend Sementis, especially to non-vegans. When I'm back in the area, I'll definitely make a second visit to try other dishes. NB: This review refers to dinner at the restaurant on August 8 at 7:30 PM, with a reservation made under Francesca's name.

19/08/2025: We went to dinner at this restaurant and immediately felt at home; we found a family atmosphere. The owner is truly a super welcoming and kind person. She explained the off-menu dishes with incredible detail, but I can say that all the staff is very kind and knowledgeable. We ate some truly excellent traditional dishes; I recommend it for a traditional dinner.

20/08/2025: A quiet restaurant with a variety of options at reasonable prices. We tried the tasting menu, and the chef was incredibly willing to create vegetarian dishes specifically for one of our guests. Even though we chose the traditional menu, I expected a little more originality given that the restaurant is listed in the Michelin guide. No real surprises, but the quality and service were textbook. I would perhaps have avoided the chocolate cake as a dessert, since it's available in any trattoria.

15/08/2025: NIGHTMARE!!!!!! I wish I could, but I can't... Run away, avoid going before you regret it!!!! Poor food, terrible quality, a tasting menu that deserves to be returned. Poor-quality, poorly cooked fish. Poor service, and rude and ignorant staff who even insulted and assaulted us. The final gem: After paying and leaving, we were told our reservation was cancelled to avoid a review on The Fork. I'll post the photos here, judge for yourselves. The beauty! Shame on you, scammers!!!!!!

30/08/2025: We had a wonderful time in this lovely trattoria. We were warmly welcomed, the lady who served us was very friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The charcuterie and cheese platter is generous and served with some jams; it was delicious! For the main course, we had the daily special, which was truffle taglioni. And again: it was delicious 👌👌

The meat? Excellent quality: tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended for those who love flavor and attention to detail.

30/07/2025: Una cenetta di coppia davvero ottima. Il locale è suggestivo, posizionato tra le splendide vie di Pietrasanta. Il rapporto qualità/prezzo è ottimo: cibo saporito e gustoso preparato con ingredienti di qualità ad un prezzo top! Ci tornerei volentieri. Super consigliato!

07/08/2025: We stopped at Pierottoi that evening quite by chance. After eating so much pasta and pizza, we weren't really in the mood for it anymore... It was actually pretty stupid to go to a pizzeria then. We received very warm service from Antonella, who also spoke a few words of German and took really great care of us. She ultimately recommended Bistecca di Manzo. We were shown the T-bone steak raw beforehand and decided to go for it. And we didn't regret it – an incredibly delicious piece of meat, cooked perfectly medium-rare, with a great flavor and wonderful grilled aromas. I'm really picky about meat, but it was so tender that you could only cut some of it with a fork. The steak was served with roasted potatoes, grilled vegetables, and freshly baked bread from the stone oven. We enjoyed the delicious house wine with it. To finish off the meal, we received a glass of limoncello on the house. Thanks to Antonella for the great service, and thanks to the kitchen for the amazing meal to round off our Italian vacation. We'll be back!
