22/11/2025: Today we went to this little restaurant that was recommended to us, and it was a pleasant discovery! Authentic dishes and local ingredients are the perfect combination for an excellent lunch. The restaurant is also part of a wonderful initiative to promote the local area, sponsored by the San Giovanni delle Contee Community Cooperative.

04/01/2026: One of our favorite restaurants in the area between Pitigliano and Sorano. The service was five-star, friendly and attentive, and the food itself was equally high quality and flavorful, as everyone at the table confirmed. The atmosphere was well-maintained, clean, and spacious. The price was reasonable for the quality of the dishes and the overall service.

30/12/2025: Every time my partner and I come to Maremma, we have at least one aperitivo at Golosofia. The owners are kind and welcoming; they personally try and select all the products in their wine shop. All are Tuscan, especially from the Maremma. Yesterday, in addition to two glasses of wine, we also ordered a platter of game cured meats. Everything was excellent. And at a great price. We highly recommend it, not only for the quality but also for the splendid view of Sovana's main square.

20/01/2026: We enjoyed excellent traditional Tuscan food, with flavorful and carefully prepared dishes. The staff was truly courteous and attentive, and immediately made us feel at ease. The prices are mid-range, but the quality of the ingredients justifies this. Even though we didn't order it, we noticed that the pizza looked truly inviting and had a gorgeous side.

02/01/2026: Absolute pizza perfection! The thin crust was cooked to a perfect crisp, and they are incredibly generous with the toppings. It’s rare to find such high-quality ingredients at such a reasonable price. To top it off, the host is super welcoming and makes you feel right at home. A must-visit!

31/01/2026: I visited Hosteria del Borgo during a trip to Maremma and had a divine meal. I especially recommend the ribollita, the gnudi (stuffed with ricotta and spinach, no pasta), and the pici, simply delicious. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. Highly recommended if you're passing through!

19/02/2026: Found by chance while visiting Sovana on a rainy day in February with friends and looking for a coffee, we ran into a guy who was opening the bistro and kindly let us in since everything around him was closed. Then, given his kindness and friendliness, we decided to return for lunch to try the handmade pici made by him and his mother, which we found to be excellent 👍

09/02/2026: My friend and I went to dinner at this restaurant because it's one of the few open on Mondays in the area, and we decided to give it a try. The place is very beautiful and well-kept, with impeccable table service. It's a shame about the food, which is why people usually eat out. We ordered a platter, asking for more cheese than cured meats (since I don't eat meat), but it still arrived with six pieces of cheese and only cured meats. The pizzas were lightly topped; on the one with porcini mushrooms, there were probably seven pieces of mushroom scattered all over the pizza, and it was saturated with oil. We didn't try the first or second courses, so my negative review is mainly about the pizzas, which, unfortunately, didn't meet our expectations.
