22/08/2025: A simple croissant and a cappuccino €4.20. The cappuccino was undrinkable, boiling hot, and the coffee was burnt. I think they re-frothed the milk 60 times because it actually made cream on the cup. By the way, the price displayed for the pastries was €1.50, but on the receipt it says €2. My friends had a juice and a sandwich for €7.50. The same goes for the sandwich, the price displayed was €3, but on the receipt it says €4. Bad!

14/09/2025: Sunday in September, the restaurant is quite busy, they have everything very well prepared povo after we ordered they brought our dishes, first course gnocchi alla marinara good and fried calamari very tender informal atmosphere and chalet with beach service in front.

23/08/2025: VERY FAST, DELICIOUS MEAL Unbelievable speed. The waiter hadn't even had time to leave with his PDA before another one arrived with a first course and two appetizers. Lightning fast.

07/10/2025: A truly wonderful discovery! It was recommended to us by the receptionist at the hotel where we stayed. Located practically on the beach, the building doesn't look like much from the outside, but upon entering, we were greeted with kindness and friendliness, and the place blends in perfectly with the surrounding landscape. The service was quick and the food excellent.

30/09/2025: We spent one night at this hotel. Everything was perfect: the location, rooms, beds, sheets, sea view, and peace. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was plentiful. We'll definitely be back! The only downside, perhaps, was the beach. It's on a rock and not suitable for non-swimmers or children.

29/08/2025: I spent a few days at this hotel. It has a splendid sea view and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The beach, though small, offers easy access to the sea. The panoramic terrace is wonderful for dining. Highly recommended!

20/06/2025: Ristorante sul molo del Porto di Porto Santo Stefano, a due metri dal mare e la posizione è veramente unica. Personale disponibile e cordiale. Cibo ottimo e ho provato quasi tutto perché in 5 giorni ci ho cenato tre volte! Da provare assolutamente se siete sul posto! Consigliatissimo

12/10/2025: Thank you so much for the wonderful dinner. The food was excellent, the staff were attentive and friendly even with the entire room full. The chef was always available to make changes to accommodate everyone. But what amazed me most was the pizza chef, who alone made an impressive number of pizzas, and there was no wait. My heartfelt congratulations, well done. It's a shame I live so far away, but if the opportunity arises again, we'll definitely see you again.

28/09/2025: Terrible experience, the quality of the raw materials was truly low, as was the hygiene and quality of the service. The meal was excessively expensive. Absolutely not to be repeated. If you say you have excellent quality raw materials, then buy them, because the seafood pasta sauce was worse than what you can buy frozen at a discount store. To respond to your comment, I believe you are referring to another table; there were not three of us, and I personally just tasted the tagliolini allo scoglio, which were decidedly awful, overcooked and flavorless. In fact, I left them on my plate, along with the strange mush and the shells of non-existent crustaceans... Rating for hygiene, courtesy, and food quality: 0

19/09/2025: Terrible food; by the waitress's own admission, some dishes are brought to the restaurant already made! (Especially the children's menus). Extremely salty pasta and flavorless fish—an experience to forget, especially considering the price. In response to the restaurant: I visited on September 15th. A review isn't necessarily published on the day you visit. I would have given it 3 stars just for the service and atmosphere, but given the restaurant's lack of friendliness, both in terms of responding to criticism (and not just mine; I've seen many negative reviews), I'm changing my opinion.

04/10/2025: We happened to be passing by and were a bit late for lunch—it was almost 2 p.m.—but the very friendly staff immediately made a newly opened table for us. The food was so good; I'd love to come back again to try the other dishes. This time we had a very good spaghetti aglio, olio, peperoncino with totani (squid), very flavorful and perfectly prepared, and tempura of shrimp and zucchini flowers, very refined and subtly coated with a lovely crispy layer. The glass of excellent Vermentino di Sardegna was a perfect accompaniment. The tiramisu classico and hazelnut semifreddo were a lovely ending. A top-notch restaurant! I don't understand the negative reviews from people who almost never write reviews.

29/09/2025: Don't be fooled by the location... the elegant atmosphere is only in the building (inside, outside the umbrellas are all holes). The waiters are aseptic... stuffed... Terrible food (don't believe the photos or reviews... Maybe they're old), frozen pizza... Buitoni is much better... Panic orders... 40 minutes... Dishes arrived in installments (only the quick pizza... it defrosts easily)... The fries, which are usually eaten before the pizza... Obviously they arrived after dessert... then the prices are exaggerated both for the quality, the quantity, the service and the location... I will never go back there again obviously... the waiters don't know how to smile and don't know how to speak... They have masks on their faces... bhooooo... N.B. The place was empty... There must be a reason

Il Cavallino is and remains a happy place, filled with laughter, music, conviviality, and the flavors that bear Giuseppina's signature: fragrant pizzas, carefully prepared dishes, and that authentic atmosphere that only she has created. 29/08/2025: A restaurant in the center of Porto Santo Stefano with a beautiful view of the pier; fast and efficient service. Excellent variety of pizza flavors. The pizza is thin and well-cooked. We recommend ordering the pizza because there isn't much choice of other dishes.

28/08/2025: An experience I definitely won't repeat!! €100 spent in the absolute worst way!! Bland appetizers, unclassifiable first courses, penne with scampi cream (a cream that actually made from 1/2 liter of cream?!?) with a scampi hidden at the bottom of a 400g plate of penne and shrimp. Spaghetti with crabmeat, undercooked and with a flavor reminiscent of pre-cooked sauces from discount stores. I was hoping to finish on a high note with fried shrimp and calamari, but unfortunately it turned out to be quite disappointing: limp, full of oil, and the shrimp definitely had a strange flavor. Alas, in a place as beautiful as Porto Ercole, I wasn't expecting a restaurant like this; it deserves better.

22/08/2025: An unpretentious restaurant in a very characteristic location. We dined here one evening in August and ordered only fresh fish, recommended by the legendary Ivo, the charming owner. Overall, we appreciated the home-style cooking. We had a great time, and kudos to this family.
