The cuisine is attentive and very pleasant, the service is excellent, the fish is excellent, and the tuna in tuna sauce is a true delight. Everything is run entirely by women. Well done! Congratulations, keep it up!

08/10/2025: Before booking this place, I was honestly intrigued, especially by the name. Then I looked at the website and the reviews, and so I booked. I have to say, it's a small, excellent restaurant run by a truly kind and knowledgeable gentleman. He exudes passion and explains the dishes with great care. I ordered the pappa al pomodoro, and I admit that before coming here, I didn't even know what it was... And I have to say, I loved it. My wife ordered the ribbolita, another delicacy. What can I say? If you want to eat truly well, this is the place for you, both for the variety of delicacies and, last but not least, the very reasonable prices.

25/09/2025: We stumbled across it by chance. It's lovingly run and offered us a comfortable spot during the storm. Great food, high quality, reasonable prices, and friendly service.

29/10/2025: A guarantee of quality and service. The owner is extremely kind in his presentation of the dishes, and the atmosphere is very welcoming.

16/10/2025: A bit expensive. Small portions, generally speaking, aren't very generous. If you order meats like Fiorentina or other steaks, they come without any sides, and then you pay €6-7 each for the side dishes, but they're tiny pebbles of beans, onions, herbs, or potatoes. I'd suggest either including at least one per person or setting them at no more than €4. Otherwise, you'll spend almost €30 for the side dishes alone, or you can order them much larger because the portions are too small. Inattentive and slow service.

25/10/2025: Excellent trattoria! It's a winding road to get there from Grosseto or Castiglion d'Pescaia, in a village from another era, but it's absolutely worth it. The atmosphere is small and old-fashioned, but charming and welcoming. The anduia on the tables is a reminder of the origins of the kind and friendly host, the true leader of the restaurant. Friendly, fast, and knowledgeable service, excellent dishes, from the first courses with mushrooms or wild boar sauce, which is present in various dishes. The second courses are also top-notch, all top-notch. Pure spectacle! Good prices, not expensive. A staple of Maremma cuisine. Unmissable. Mr. Whites.

01/12/2025: A wonderful experience; the food was excellent, from the starter to the dessert, everything was delicious. Plus, since Lucio Corsi was passing by, probably to say hello to his mother and grandmother, he kindly agreed to take a photo with us.

27/11/2025: The restaurant offers homemade Maremma cuisine, where the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the chefs stand out. The rustic atmosphere, frozen in time, evokes the old trattorias that welcomed travelers passing by with their Maremma ox carts... Reservations are practically mandatory, otherwise it's difficult to find a table! Free parking is available next to the restaurant. The menu features only typical Maremma dishes, with tortelli (a must-try) taking center stage, but everything else is equally delicious, from roast rabbit to zucchini flowers and all the homemade desserts! Compliments to Lucio Corsi's family for the authenticity of their food and the warmth and customer service of the entire staff.

25/10/2025: I have been going to Castiglione della Pescaia for 4 years now, and every year, I go to the Fortezza for dinner, they make spectacular crab meat gnocchi, fabulous cod, without excluding the rest of the menu, truly good.

14/10/2025: We stopped by for a village festival, and only stayed one night and had breakfast. Everything was great: a generous sweet and savory buffet breakfast, a beautiful, clean place. Friendly staff. We'll be back.

01/10/2025: I was in the area for work and stayed at Iris for two nights with my colleagues, and I have to say that if we ever get back to the area, we'd definitely want to stay there. Excellent service, courtesy, and friendliness, excellent and plentiful food with a wide variety of choices, including simple and protein-rich dishes, just the way I like them. I highly recommend it; everything was top-notch!

23/09/2025: A very beautiful place, with divinely prepared typical Maremma dishes. We had Maremma ravioli with wild boar ragu, fillet steak with porcini mushrooms, and wild boar cacciatore. Everything was delicious. Due to bad weather, we couldn't dine on the outdoor terrace; the tables are spread across various levels with a view of the valley, truly beautiful. Highly recommended.

17/09/2025: A friend highly recommended it to us. The place is located in Tirli, a small village nestled in the hinterland between Castiglione della Pescaia and Punta Ala. The sea view is stunning, and the tagliatelle, wild boar ragu, and onion crostini are excellent.

01/10/2025: Been here twice during our family visit in Punta Ala and both times we really enjoyed the service and the food. The second time, I must admit, was particularly nice — we didn’t get the name of the waiter but we know he was from Moldavia and he was particularly nice and accommodating! We’d definitely recommend visiting this place if you’re in the region xx

18/10/2025: Super delicious pizza. Really nice people. It's not a proper restaurant, so don't expect one. But the pizza tastes better than in some upscale places. And at very reasonable prices.

08/10/2025: Very good fish restaurant. We just ordered the fish that had arrived, and it was excellent. A wonderful restaurant with very friendly service and a typically simple Italian atmosphere that makes you feel like you're in a living room. We'd be happy to return...

24/09/2025: We arrived after 2pm on a Tuesday afternoon. They still agreed they would do pizza for us even though it was outside normal cooking times for pizza. Great sized pizza with lots of flavours and the thin, crispy base as it should be. We saw the chef depart after serving us so they weren't joking about times. So glad they accommodated us as we really enjoyed it. Lovely staff and a clean place. Almost all pizzas under €10 and the cappuccino was excellent too. Special mention must go to the Desert pizza with pear and gorgonzola as it was the star of the lunch.

17/10/2025: Lots of smoke and not enough flavor... a huge disappointment, hair on the table (€4 cover charge). The vegetables and lemon were subpar, the sea bream was next to good quality, the service was superficial... the wait staff was very stressed... This is precisely why it was disappointing; overall, the price and quality were not in balance. It's a shame.

13/10/2025: A beautifully located restaurant with excellent food. The view of the marina adds to the delight. The staff is attentive and very friendly. The dishes are rather expensive but excellently presented and offer a unique flavor. A visit is worthwhile.

27/07/2025: Se Vi trovate in Toscana, tappa assolutamente da fare è al Ristorante 'IL CACCIATORE', a Tirli (GR). Sono stata particolarmente colpita, l'esperienza è stata davvero ottima. L' atmosfera è accogliente e il personale molto attento. Il cibo è delizioso, con ingredienti freschi e di qualità. Ho apprezzato particolarmente la Famiglia che lo gestisce, perché ti fanno sentire 'a casa'. Consigliatissimo!! P.S.: Forse l'unico difetto è che trovate 2 figlioli , belli come il sole ☀️ che vi fanno perdere la concentrazione!!!😂😂. Complimenti a mamma e babbo 😂😂, e grazie a Nicholas e Thomas.
