13/12/2024: Frequento questo ristorante da tantissimi anni ed è una garanzia in Maremma. A pochi km. dal centro di Castiglione della Pescaia, la location è immersa negli ulivi, il locale è molto curato con tanti tavoli all’aperto. Se volete mangiare un’ottima bistecca alla fiorentina, filetto di chianina o un tomahawk questo è il posto giusto! Ci sono però anche svariati piatti per i vegetariani. Lo chef Alessio propone una cucina mediterranea con piatti tradizionali e creativi sempre alla ricerca di nuovi gusti. Le materie prime sono di eccellente qualità. Si vede che la cura per il dettaglio è fondamentale nella realizzazione di ogni portata dall’antipasto al dolce. L’accoglienza è sempre impeccabile, il proprietario Gianni è molto simpatico, sempre disponibile e attento al cliente. La sommelier Giulia è super professionale e competente e vi consiglierà in base ai vostri gusti. Il servizio inizia sempre offrendo un piccolo entréee e a fine cena/pranzo portano un assaggio di pasticceria. I piatti storici che consiglio sono sicuramente tutti quelli della carne alla griglia, la selezione di prosciutti crudi, i tortelli di Elda e il filetto alla Rossini alla maniera di Nello. Date sempre uno sguardo a quello che propone la cucina perché troverete degli antipasti, primi e secondi sfiziosi e molto interessanti. Finisco con un grandissimo applauso a tutti per la passione, cortesia e entusiasmo e per le serate speciali che abbiamo trascorso in questo locale e che non dimenticheremo mai! Peccato che non si possono dare 10 stelle!

16/02/2025: Unfortunately the quality of this restaurant has dropped and consequently my opinion drops. I was here with some German friends, the managers evidently based themselves on this to establish prices and other tricks that I didn't expect. 1) Passing off a beef steak as a wild boar steak was the most serious thing. Dear gentlemen, apart from the taste which is different, you serve me a rare steak saying it is wild boar. Everyone knows that pigs are not served rare and this already shows that it wasn't a wild boar. Faced with my perplexity, the waitress says that what I said is a compliment as it means that their wild boar is "delicate"... meh. For me it means stealing. 2) Prices. For 5 tastings of cakes (1 saucer) and cantuccini and vin santo x 5, €70. This is also called theft. 3) The portions. A portion of wild boar hunter consists of three measly morsels. Hungry. In short, Grand Hotel prices in a rustic dive. I have nothing against taverns, on the contrary, but I can't stand taverns who think so. I'm done with this place and with me also the German customers I know. There is better in Maremma

20/01/2025: Chiamati dalla preziosa città di Assisi, abbiamo conosciuto questo ristorante e abbiamo deciso di vedere di cosa si tratta. La verità è che è un acciaio, c'è un prezzo molto onesto. Amplio locale; personale cordiale e attento; Varietà di piatti sabrosos preparati con prodotti locali di prima qualità, oltre a piatti deliziosi. Molto consigliato.

24/11/2024: La Fortezza is a restaurant located within the walls of the beautiful historic center of Castiglione della Pescaia. The food is of excellent quality, the menu card allows a wide choice of dishes. The staff is professional and kind. I really appreciated the waiter's gesture in bringing a bowl of fresh water to my dog. Highly recommend, good value for money.

17/11/2024: Pranzo domenicale ,avevamo molte aspettative ma purtroppo in parte deluse , abbiamo preso due antipasti,un primo ,un secondo con contorno e un dolce più mezzo litro di rosso della casa, abbiamo speso 40€ a testa, sinceramente per questa cifra mi sarei aspettata porzioni abbondanti e pasti buoni da trattoria ,il problema è che gli stessi funghi,cucinati nello stesso modo ,sono stati usati per condire il crostino,la pasta e come contorno alla tagliata!!! Sinceramente non mi è piaciuto molto... Per il resto tutto buono per carità ma visto il posto piuttosto grezzo il rapporto qualità prezzo è piuttosto basso

27/10/2024: Ho deciso di accompagnare amici che abitano fuori a mangiare del cibo tipico toscano, assicurandomi ci fossero alternative di cibo per me che non mangio carne. Da appena seduti, al momento in cui abbiamo lasciato la trattoria, e quindi ad ogni singola portata, il cameriere ha avuto sempre la battuta pronta sul fatto che io non mangiassi carne, chiamandomi sempre vegano (che in realtá non sono), e trattandomi diversamente dagli altri. La battuta ci può anche stare (anche se fastidiosa) ma qui c'è stata fin troppa insistenza, diventando noioso e scontato agli occhi di tutti i presenti al tavolo. Mi dispiace ma devo dire che non è stata una cena piacevole. In un clima più sereno e meno invadente su scelte personali probabilmente il cibo sarebbe stato più godibile.

26/01/2025: The stage is simple, informal, so much so that the ones who need to stand out are the actors... and once the curtain opens, food and wine exalt the audience exhilarating in form, taste, and quality... the chef Claudia and the owner of the the very nice Maria room, they know well how to make diners dream.... Here the culinary journey enriches your heart and caresses your soul... an experience lived three times... when you dream it, when you live it, when you remember it ... Dishes that leave their mark such as cod with a touch of lemon on chickpea puree ... octopus briao, gnocchi with artichokes and sea bass ... the king "raw" ... with a tuna that has no equal.. I'm amazed every time, they always manage to amaze me... thanks girls and... until the next dream... oops with eyes open...

16/12/2024: I was with my family this summer in August, a really nice and characteristic place, the refinement of the products, the care with which they are served and above all the quality are striking. Book early because it is always full in the evening. Highly recommended!

31/12/2024: Delicious fried! I had calamari and prawns with chips, and it was all great! Light, crunchy and with that seafood flavor that wins you over at the first bite. Super easy atmosphere and super friendly staff. Perfect for a quick but tasty break. I was there in September and would happily return. If you are in these parts, don't miss it! 🔥

07/01/2025: Trovato per caso, abbiamo avuto la fortuna di trovare due posti liberi. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo, il servizio impeccabile. Ci è stata offerta una crocchetta di pesce indimenticabile. Non è certamente un posto economico ma come noto, la qualità si paga! Speriamo di avere occasione di ritornare.

I highly recommend, I came back specifically to eat excellent food... excellent prices... I recommend to couples and families...
