In its genre it responds to the imagery of an inn serving a guest who seeks the strictly monastic essentiality of simple dishes... from an expert hand thanks to Donna Rosa's desire to delight... informality has made this place a place of refreshment the last of the taverns in Sicily where the extraordinary cook today assisted by her son (gruff and a little opinionated) daily since 1959 offers traditional dishes to her transversally social clientele!

Forget about well-furnished environments, fully dressed waiters and 'cacatinas' served on plates one meter in diameter. Entering here you will feel like you are entering grandma's house, really. The tavern, opened at the end of the 1950s, offers a menu with dishes that vary from day to day, a bit like at home, depending on what they find good to cook. The quality of the food is good and the dishes offered are simple, tasty, with a 'home' flavour. The welcome is excellent and the prices are really low, certainly proportionate to the type of cuisine. So, if you don't have many demands and are looking for simplicity, familiarity and low prices, this tavern is for you.
