09/03/2025: Eight euros for two horrendous americano coffees... Absolutely scandalous! Not only was the coffee undrinkable, but the price was outright extortion. I feel completely ripped off!

16/02/2025: One black coffee 4 euro, one Arancini 4.5 euro, The highest ever I have paid in Sicily!

12/03/2025: Dry panini with few ingredients (only cheese and ham). I think you can eat better in the area.

19/12/2024: Stopped for lunch on a busy afternoon and we were shown to a nice table out front. We had a very attentive waiter and thought the food was tasty and fairly priced. Very good house wine served in mid sized pitchers.

28/11/2024: At first it looks like the perfect place, it was full with people (i think because was raining) so we thought to give it a try. We quickly set down and short after we got our order picked. Now the fun goes down the drain, we ordered two glasses of wine - they brought one, took ages to bring the second one. Was hard to get someone’s attention, there were two waiters and the third one that seemed to be the manager, and all of them seemed to be very busy by managing all the tables all three of them at ones. We had a table near the kitchen and could see and hear chefs frustration by having food on the pas waiting too long. We got the starters very late and parmigiana tested microwaved (super hot, scolding hot) , when we asked for some salt and pepper for caprese salad they brought it to us when we almost finished it. After long time when we got our table cleaned we asked for the bill and informed the waiter that we also had ordered mains that we will not have. He brought the bill with mains included, again it took time until someone approached for us to pay. Long story short, the manager said we will have to pay for the mains cause the food is on the pass waiting to be served, tho we didn’t asked to follow up, when we tried to explain ourselves the other waiter interfered and made a show by saying that she will pay the rest from her salary, many times repeating herself out loud in the middle of the restaurant. They’ve changed the bill and now they were avoiding us so we just left the money on the table and got out.

07/12/2024: In prima fila su Corso Umberto in pieno centro questo locale è molto gettonato per l’aperitivo, io vi ho cenato. Piatti della tradizione siciliana che nel mio caso ho trovato poco spinti nel sapore, se la pasta con la muddica è discreta, su altre portate il margine di miglioramento è ampio.

30/10/2024: Lo mejor de este restaurante era su precio para las comidas principales. Los platos de pasta cuestan unos 16 euros. Un camarero fue abrupto y tiró el agua de 4 euros y luego tiró la tapa. Otro camarero era excepcionalmente profesional. La ubicación es excelente y siempre está ocupado.

27/03/2025: Piccolo e rettangolare locale che si sviluppa per lungo all’inizio di Taormina, con vista sul mare Camerieri svelti svelti in tutti i sensi. Cibi buoni ma non eccellenti, crudo di pesce buono (vedi foto) purtroppo (come i concorrenti) data la location turistica i prezzi sono alle stelle. La correlazione qualità prezzo, nonostante l’ubicazione, è sufficiente.

16/03/2025: Terrible place, I do not recommend it to anyone, they are scammers, on the menu there is the aperitif option of land or fish, we chose the land one, in brackets above the menu the cocktail included was specified, but at the time of payment the cocktail taken was considered separately, paying for it outside the price of the aperitif, upon asking for explanations we were told that "no but it is only valid in the morning" and this thing was not specified in the menu, so, I just have to say, SCAMMERS

21/02/2025: ¡Ambiente increíble! El ambiente por la noche es simplemente increíble la pizza es genial las bebidas son perfectas y el personal es tan dulce El show en vivo por la noche es increíble! Fue una noche mágica lo recomiendo especialmente para aquellos que buscan cenar en tairomina con un ambiente!

21/09/2024: En primer lugar este no es un hotel de lujo, sin embargo la ubicación para las playas y la ciudad de Taormina a través del teleférico es genial, se refleja en el precio, otros hoteles cercanos son mucho más caros para alojarse, es como retroceder en el tiempo (¿alguna vez has visto torres defectuosas? ) Hay un bloque separado en la parte trasera del hotel , aquí es donde nos alojamos , inicialmente aunque preferiría haber estado en el bloque principal cerca del bar / zona de desayuno pero resulta que obtuvimos las mejores vistas desde salir de un gran balcón con vistas al mar, (habitación 107 ) este bloque es casi abandonado, salones vacíos y la recepción sigue allí con el libro de visitas en el mostrador de 1975 , alrededor de la época en que abrió el hotel, realmente interesante tener una película a través, este lugar probablemente estaba lleno y ocupado en su día. . sin embargo hay un montón de pasos , usted recibe ayuda de Michael con su equipaje, qué chico servicial encantador , incluso nos dio un aventón en su coche colina abajo una mañana cuando nos vio caminar hasta la parada de autobús, reservamos a través de vacaciones en jet 2 y no puedo creer que allí donde la gente que se aloja en el hotel que no sabía nada acerca de la cantidad de pasos , por favor hacer un poco de investigación! Más pasos hasta la playa! si su ajuste razonable y bien no será un problema. El personal es muy amable en la zona del bar, un bar lateral tan encantador para sentarse y ver el mundo pasar, pasamos horas sentados allí, ya sea antes de salir a algún lugar, o para una copa de noche o dos antes de volver a nuestra habitación, sólo tengo que añadir que hay un ascensor en el bloque principal y esto también se utiliza para parte de la subida al otro bloque, las habitaciones son muy anticuadas pero limpias, las mucamas hicieron un trabajo maravilloso cada mañana inventando las camas y cambiando toallas cuando sea necesario, el hotel está justo al lado del teleférico hasta la ciudad de Taormina , absolutamente impresionante allí arriba, son 10 euros cada uno para un viaje de regreso pero vale cada centavo, se puede conseguir el autobús por unos 3 euros, pero el teleférico es una gran experiencia, hacer un poco de investigación separada sobre la ciudad antes de ir, te hará querer reservar tus vacaciones, bares/restaurantes y más tiendas de lo que puedas imaginar pero no estaba tan lleno como pensé que sería , pero era la primera semana en septiembre, julio y agosto podría ser diferente. Ahora para una rápida revisión de la zona de playa. . ¡Absolutamente precioso! La playa de Isloa bella es preciosa, sí que se ocupa especialmente cerca de la isla, en nuestro primer día pagamos 50 euros por 2 tumbonas y una sombrilla, algunos eran 100 euros por dos camas y sombrilla con cojín y toallas!! Pensé que esto era bastante caro, ya que planeamos ir casi todos los días, así que compramos un paraguas del pequeño supermercado por 16 euros y dejamos nuestras toallas en la playa de guijarros, no tan cómodo por su entrada fuera del mar tan a menudo que estaba absolutamente bien , nos ahorramos unos 300 euros por la semana, dejamos el paraguas atrás para un representante, , yo no recomendaría esta playa en absoluto para los niños, sin arena en absoluto , vimos un par de familias con cubos y palas y niños muy decepcionados! ! Hay una playa con arena a unos 15 pasos de distancia, El mar sí se hace bastante profundo rápidamente y hay bastantes bolders grandes y rocas así que ten cuidado que realmente necesitas zapatos de playa para entrar y salir del agua así que consigue algunos antes de irte , probablemente más barato de Amazon! ! Hay pocos bares y restaurantes en la zona de la playa y probablemente un centenar o así en la ciudad de Taormina, precio medio yo diría que es aproximadamente el mismo que comer fuera en Londres, así que de ninguna manera barato, vino y cerveza aproximadamente lo mismo. Espero que alguien encuentre útil esta opinión

22/08/2024: Rooms a little bit dated..no walk in shower..but were very clean..balcony view amazing though. Location was fine but had alot steps down to the beaches(especially islo bella) and cable car up to Toarmina..but generally location was fine...one major problem was the hotel lift was broken and if your in the higher up part of the hotel..its roughly 220 steps up to some of the rooms! Which is not great if you have mobility or are of a certain age. Would have got a higher score but the steps were an issue.

07/02/2025: Fui allí todas las noches durante el verano con mi familia durante nuestras vacaciones en Taormina y no puedo recomendar a todos los demás a hacer lo mismo! Increíble aperitivo, las vibraciones son increíbles y la ubicación es ideal! Vistas impecables, servicio impecable, comida y bebidas impecables. Música en vivo todas las noches (incluso si exageraron Imagine de John Lennon, todavía me encantó). También saludo al camarero rubio caliente que solo trabajó dentro, te quiero pookie.

26/10/2024: El lugar está en una gran ubicación en la gran plaza principal y los precios van con eso, solo tenía bebidas, pero heyho yo estaba de vacaciones!

23/12/2024: What an absolutely great place to spend sometime, at the Mediterraneo Cafè. With the very cool music, mostly jazz! The slow smooth type. With Barry White, doing a superb cover of “Just The Way You Are. Then Nok Nok Nok, cover or of “ Walk On Wild Side” stupendous. It’s the kind of place where you sit back and enjoy the very nice ambience. Stylish settings, including the art work. As 2020 was approaching, it was really nice to enjoy some vino before midnight and welcoming in 2020. We’re a long way from home, in Australia but it’s so nice to experience places like this. Great host (Cinzia) with fabulous service & fantastic personality!

12/11/2024: Mediterraneo Cafe was our first stop at the beginning of our nine day stay in Taormina. The charm of the place was enticing, so we decided to give it a try. A woman, who we believe was the proprietor, took our order. I don't know if she was having a bad day, but we definitely felt as though we were putting her out. There was one other table with customers besides ourselves. There was a hassle when it came to paying the check, however given time the situation worked itself out. Their prices felt a bit on the high end compared to the other bars we went to over the course of the week. We didn't go back and not sure we would based on the other reviews for Mediterraneo Cafe. There are so many charming establishments in Taormina; this was not one of them.

27/02/2025: Tienes que salir de la calle principal para encontrar las cosas emocionantes en Taormina y lo hicimos. Giramos a la izquierda, por una de esas pequeñas calles laterales y nos encontramos con un excelente restaurante - no hay mucho que mirar en las primeras apariciones, pero no se deje engañar. Comida magnífica. Excelente vino. Fabuloso servicio atento. Una verdadera muestra de dónde estábamos. Y me encantó el hecho de que después de nuestra impresionante pasta, nos preguntaron qué queríamos para nuestro plato principal. No podíamos encajar más. ¡Qué pena!

22/12/2024: Scelto a caso tra i tanti ristoranti di Taormina in una gelida serata pre natalizia, entriamo e sentiamo subito un piacevolissimo tepore. Il cibo ottimo, l'agnello sublime e gentilezza del personale che non manca. Prezzi più che buoni per essere in centro a Taormina. Da rivisitare in estate per godere della vista. Consigliato.

18/10/2024: Beautifully located... that was the only quality. For example, mushrooms overcooked into porridge in ready-made sauce, soggy noodles and tiny portions at unreasonably high prices. Not only did the taste taste bland and downright bland, it was shameful for supposedly Italian cuisine. It's a tourist trap.
