03/09/2024: Tourist trap with nice outdoor seating. Pasta sauce definitely tasted like it was from store bought bottles (which I thought would be illegal in Italian restaurants in Sicily). Complete waste of money. Service was good though, which is understandable given the above.

22/08/2024: Wonderful cozy place! Lasagna, caponata, drinks, service - above all praise. Very tasty. Thanks to the cook and waiters. I recommend trying these dishes. Prices are reasonable compared to other establishments in Taormina.

05/07/2024: This is a great restaurant tucked behind the main drag and was recommended to us. The food was delicious, staff sweet and all round a good ambience.

15/07/2024: I've been getting pizza here for years because it has always been one of the best between Suzzara and Codisotto, yesterday I ordered two pizzas delivered and as soon as I opened the pizza box I was amazed because it had no seasoning, non-existent tomato and mozzarella, tasteless dough and wrong cooking, it looked like a streak…I only ate it because I was hungry.

07/07/2024: What a shame! Almost perfect food. However, very poor service. Let’s start with the positive. Amazing linguine with truffles and red shrimps. Cooked to perfection with first class quality ingredients. Very good tuna antipasto. Also, very good panko fried tuna main. Good primo with mussels. The sea bass baked in a salt crust was the only disappointment. Apparently the chef did not master this classic Italian cooking technique. If you do, you should be able to cook the sea bass to perfection without transmitting salt from the crust to the fish meat. Furthermore, the technique is famous for preventing the fish from loosing water during the cooking process and preventing it from becoming dry. It’s a shame that the chef for the night managed to achieve a salty and dry sea bass. If you read this you may think it is a review from a grumpy guest. But given that the price of the fish was 120 Euro for two people, you may reconsider and understand that it is a reasonable expectation. Hire a capable chef or remove the fish from the menu! The sommelier was unfortunately focussed on selling expensive wine, as opposed to pairing it with the ordered food. Now to the really disappointing stuff. Very poor coordination between staff. No one (successfully) directing and coordinating the service. Entrees served with 5 minute time gaps! Mains with even longer gaps. Amazingly two guests that ordered the same main got it with a +5 minute time gap!! No one took away empty bottles and plates from an over full table. No one asked if we wanted to order more water. The list goes on and on. One waiter started presenting a complementary small dish at the same time as the sommelier was in conversation with one of the guests. Impossible to follow them both at the same time. So, to summarize, this is a great shame. The ambience is nice. The food is great (except the sea bass). But the service is a disaster. A bunch of loose cannons blind to the sum of their collective efforts. And at the price point and ambition level in question, it is a huge disappointment and unacceptable. I would recommend you to think twice before going.

06/07/2024: Per il secondo anno di seguito ho cenato per due sere consecutive in questo ristorante. Riconfermo gran parte del mio giudizio positivo sui piatti e locale in generale. Quest'anno sono costretto ad abbassare il voto complessivo a causa dei tempi lunghi tra le varie portate in occasione della seconda serata. Ho visto diversi commensali visibilmente infastiditi richiedere spiegazioni. Spero sia stato un evento casuale perché nel complesso resta un ristorante di livello.

01/08/2024: After several holidays in Taormina, we returned again this year. One of the highlights of our visit was discovering this beautiful wine bar, just few steps down from Corso Umberto. Talk about ‘far from the madding crowd’, this little haven does ‘aperitivo’ on another level. Always warmly greeted, quickly seated and promptly attended, the staff were fantastic, all of them. Great music, great nibbles and awesome drinks (mainly Aperol Spritz and Bloody Mary). You really made a most pleasant difference to our stay this time, and rest assured, we will definitely be back….thank you!

17/05/2024: Take away with deception... I often ordered two take away Cantonese rice for my children... but the last time I did it it didn't go well because inside the package there were maybe two spoons of rice per package! Angry and disappointed, I will have to use myself elsewhere, perhaps the old management was managed better.

06/08/2024: The food was very tasty, the service was quick and the staff was very kind and helpful. A rich selection of local dishes. It is a pet-friendly place, dogs are also welcome. I definitely recommend it if you visit Taormina!

28/07/2024: Stopped in for a cold beverage on a hot day. The staff (man in a suit in particular) was extremely unwelcoming and lied saying they didn’t have availability when you could clearly see that half the tables weren’t occupied. It seemed he judged us by the way we looked. One of us went back later and helped herself to a seat, ordered, and waited over 45 minutes for something that should have taken no more than 10 minutes to serve. She paid ahead as we were tight on time. That same gentleman took the payment and was aware we needed to leave, but kept saying “a few more minutes”. The order never arrived. I have never felt more unwelcome anywhere.

28/07/2024: A dream place, well cared for and service with attention to every detail, the room was welcomed by the manager Luca Cassaniti with great elegance, style and refinement, making our evening unique and satisfying and we highly recommend it, congratulations again to Luca Cassaniti, tastings of fine wines of excellent choice

13/08/2024: A place I would gladly return to, you can immediately feel when you taste the dishes that the fish is really good quality and very clean, I think it really is the best fish I've ever eaten.

17/08/2024: A day to forget, let's start from the assumption that they are very expensive, unspeakable staff, they demand that no food comes in from outside since it must be consumed in their restaurant, so we sit down to have lunch at 2.00pm, just to take the order the first 45 hours have passed minutes, the dishes arrived at 4pm despite there being no more than 15 tables with 5 free waiters. The dishes were tasteless trofie with prawns but above all a simple, totally raw tomato penne, even when paying for the service we were told by the manager that the penne had kindly been removed. In summary, €70 for 2 sunbeds and then spending the day in the shade of the restaurant as they close at 6pm. Staff 0, they don't make themselves available to customers by pretending not to see them. I have to give 1 star but my rating is 0.

14/07/2024: Lovely cafe in Taormina. We stopped for a drink as we were walking around. It's really a nice place here, drink was nice and the host gave us some snacks too. Lovely vibe, well shaded for lunchtime heat and cool vibe too. Anyone looking for a stop I'm sure you'll love it here.

03/12/2023: EXCELLENT service and Celiac safe Gluten Free pizza, pasta, dessert - Canolo!! Our daughter has Celiac and she had delicious choices that we've never seen before. We've also never seen her eat so much! I ordered the pizza twice because I didn't believe it was Gluten free the first time -- and loved it so much I was happy with more! I wish I had asked for their pizza crust and pasta recipe before leaving. Thank you for such a fantastic dining experience, 3 days in a row!
