15/04/2026: Ate here 3 nights ago. I had the fresh tagliatelle with ragu which was very tasty and the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. I paired it with a glass of red wine that was recommended by the server and it didn’t disappoint. The decor is very tasteful and the bar stocks a wide variety of drinks for cocktails etc. Antonio who looked after me, was friendly, chatty and very personable. Overall a very pleasant experience.

07/03/2026: Sicilian steakhouse, with aged meats for the most discerning palates, but also plenty of local meats cooked according to tradition. The first courses are always as good as the second courses. A welcoming and tasteful place, a positive experience guaranteed.

16/06/2026: We had dinner at La Scalinata and had a truly wonderful time. The pizza was excellent, well-topped, and very tasty. Special thanks to the owner, a very kind, friendly, and helpful person, who stopped to chat with us, making us feel welcome and at home. It was truly a pleasure to listen to him and share a few words. If we ever return to Caltanissetta, we'll definitely come back here. Highly recommended!

22/03/2026: The best restaurant during my two weeks in Sicily. My girlfriend and I were staying in Agrigento. Eager to explore the hinterland, we found this restaurant on Maps, quickly called, and showed up half an hour later. Let me tell you, it was one of the most wonderful impromptu experiences we could have had. The owner, Lillo, welcomed us with wonderful appetizers and a truly enchanting cheese platter. He stopped to tell us about his past in Piedmont, my homeland, and his challenge to open the restaurant in the 1980s. It was the turning point of the day. A lunch marked by conviviality, hospitality, and the wonderful food that only this region can offer. Go to Lillo! Go to La Lanterna! Matteo Gervasi

11/04/2026: Caffè Bella in Caltanissetta is a bit like the legendary Caffè Pedrocchi in Padua...it never closes. But in recent years, it has improved both in terms of drinks and food.

15/02/2026: The coffee was excellent, but the staff, a middle-aged waiter to be precise, brought coffee for me and my friend, along with two glasses of water. I politely asked him if he could bring me some sparkling water. He slammed the tray against the counter and, with a frown of disdain, said... "What do you want?" And etc. Whispering words at me... I asked him to repeat those words, and he raised his arm and told me I could speak first. I'm a tourism reception technician; I'll note this behavior and hope the owner can make him understand that customers should be treated a certain way.
