19/07/2025: We were on our way back to Palermo from a visit to the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento. We were starving. So we relied on the reviews on Google Maps and chose this restaurant. With the gnocchi with eggplant and swordfish, you had to search for the eggplant; you could hardly see it. The swordfish, which was cut into 0.5 cm cubes, was barely visible. The seafood platter was generally okay. The service was very friendly, and the ambiance was very nice. What you miss in Italy, compared to Greece, are mixed salads or various vegetable dishes. Apparently, Sicilians live almost exclusively on pizza and pasta.

09/08/2025: I have been using Sikania for years, always satisfied from the first to the second courses, to the rotisserie.. We really have a good time, then the staff is accommodating and available to our requests 😍♥️

12/10/2025: We decided to try this place. We booked several days in advance and arrived this evening as agreed at 9 pm. They seated us right away and took our order. We waited an hour and at 10 pm we asked how long the appetizer would take. The guy told us 10 minutes... we waited... and after 30 minutes, at 10:30 pm, we asked again and were told it would take at least 45 minutes. So we complained that at least three tables we saw arriving later had already eaten. The guy told us it wasn't my fault, we asked and then didn't come back. Another guy, Brandon, came by and asked us, "Is everything okay?" We replied, "It's not good at all." We've been waiting over an hour and a half for the appetizer and it still takes 45 minutes, it's absurd." The guy came in, came out right away, told us 4 minutes, and then came over. So what was the problem before? I don't know... maybe the colleague who wasn't communicating. This appetizer arrives, the fish platter... no comment, let's say a potato platter with four fish. In the meantime, we were locked in that gazebo with the tables one next to the other and we were out of tune, unable to speak. Anyway, the pizzas arrive and out of 8 people there was 1 person who had a sandwich, we start eating and this sandwich doesn't arrive, after a long time Brandon appears again outside and the first person at the table asks for the box because the only positive thing is the pizza which is really good, at that point we say that the sandwich is still missing and the guy goes to ask comes back and says 5, 8 minutes and arrives at that point tired of the situation we say that they can keep the sandwich since we were already leaving. The guy comes back and after a few minutes brings us the sandwich, which after more than 2 and a half hours of waiting arrives wrong. In short, a terrible evening, terrible service, rude responses, bottles slammed indelicately on the table, oh I forgot they take the platter, the appetizer is finished, they clear the plates, he takes the cutlery and goes throwing them on the table saying keep the forks. Good pizza, but the only nice and worthwhile waiter was Brandon.

30/09/2025: The pizza is excellent, with an extensive menu. The mixed fried fish for two, however, leaves much to be desired: only chips and rotten mussels.

03/10/2025: The place has a lovely country atmosphere, but the service is sketchy. The picanha arrived cold and hard!! The fries were cold. What a shame!

10/09/2025: 30g of (old) bread inside 100g of lettuce, 124g of (very dry) chicken, and 131g of potatoes: "all" of this for €14, a complete steal. Luckily, I had another portion of potatoes for €4 (you get 2kg for €4, not 400g, but whatever).

07/09/2025: A beautiful restaurant nestled in a charming alleyway, finally given a facelift! The service was precise and attentive, always there when needed. The dishes were delicious and generous; the fish was fresh and well-cooked, and even the fried fish was dry and tasty. The platter featured a good selection of cured meats and cheeses.

27/08/2025: A bistro in the heart of old Gela, in a charming and picturesque square. Friendly and attentive staff. Dishes are made with excellent ingredients and are well-prepared. The combinations are truly remarkable, clearly demonstrating the craftsmanship. I'm not giving it full marks because, unfortunately, the service took a bit too long, and at a certain point the staff got lost in conversation with other customers. Despite this, I recommend a visit if you're passing through Gela. --- Update of August 22, 2025: Seven of us had dinner at **Disiu** and ate outdoors, in a very characteristic Gela alley that created a truly charming atmosphere. I tried both the classic caponata and the fish one: both were very good and beautifully flavored. For my second course, I chose a fried fish dish, which, personally, I was a bit less impressed with than the appetizers. The staff was very kind and helpful, although the wait was a bit long. The bistro recently came under new management (about a month ago), so I imagine it's a testing phase: I hope they find the right balance soon, because the potential is there.

18/07/2025: Among the best pizzerias in Caltanissetta, courtesy, kindness, truly excellent pizzas. Owners always present and pamper customers.

13/07/2025: I returned after years for dinner with friends, and I must say they've returned to excellent standards. Excellent service, excellent fried food, and equally excellent pizza. Keep it up!
