What's more, the service is unbeatable: the whole team is very friendly, and the owner is an absolute delight, attentive and approachable, making the experience even more special. Without a doubt, a place I'll return to and one I wholeheartedly recommend.

25/04/2026: The pizzas are delicious! You can taste the quality of the local produce, and the goat cheese on the pizza is delicious. The twice-baked pizza is delicious and crispy. The waitress is very friendly, and the service is fast. The best recommendation is that many locals come here for takeout pizza. I recommend it!

05/06/2026: When you dream of finding that one amazing restaurant while you're visiting Italy... you've found it, it's Taberna Santona. I walked in on a Friday evening not long after they opened. I'd read many great reviews and was nervous that the place would be fully booked, but to my surprise there was a choice of tables both inside and outside. All the staff spoke Italian with me and one server even kindly told me I spoke well, which I really appreciated because it means a lot to hear that from a native speaker. Everyone was pleasant, no one seemed impatient or uncaring. Tourists were treated as kindly as locals. Staff checked in a few times to see how everything was, including the owner (I think) who seemed genuinely pleased to hear that people were enjoying their food. I had the insalata normanna, which was an interesting mix of things i never would've thought to combine in one dish, but it worked very well. I thought the onion was a little overpowering but that was a minor detail. I then had the couscous Carlofortina which was also quite good. Both dishes were light yet still enough to make for a solid meal. Everyone raves about the chocolate cake, rightfully so because it was so good I got a second piece to bring with me. Get it with caramel and whipped cream. I'm not normally a caramel fan but i impulsively said yes when asked if i wanted it. this caramel tasted divine, not like it came from a jar. All the desserts are homemade too. The people seated next to me were talking about how delicious the panna cotta was. Places like these are what you'll remember months and years after your visit, and i hope to be able to come back soon. Grazie mille per tutto 😋🍽🩷

10/06/2026: The staff is kind and friendly, fast, and attentive to their customers' needs. The gelato is excellent, made with authentic, delicious ingredients. They have a variety of flavors you won't find anywhere else, and the cookie cone is absolutely the best!

The food was excellent, with exquisite meat and appetizers. Excellent service, provided to us by Asier, a young man with spectacular customer service! Thank you ❤️. If you're in the Alghero area and you like meat, you absolutely MUST stop by. Honorable mention also for the well-crafted and balanced cocktails.

12/06/2026: The best pizza in Sardinia, in my opinion. We ate there twice during our 12-day holiday. The atmosphere isn't exactly like a beachfront promenade, but the pizza is first-class. And the value for money is unbeatable. Highly recommended.

10/06/2026: Simply perfect! A small, traditional Sardinian restaurant with high-quality dishes to share (or not 🤤). The chef is very friendly (thank you for the tips on cooking the guanciale!) and the food is excellent (special mention for the risotto). The total price is a bit high if you order several courses, but it's definitely worth it. The menu is only in Italian, but with the chef's explanations or ChatGPT, you can manage perfectly well 👍🏻 Thank you for a lovely time.

10/06/2026: We stumbled upon this place almost by chance. It's a small place that serves traditional Sassari cuisine at a very reasonable price. You can order several dishes per person, allowing you to try as many different dishes as possible. And, on a positive note, we were offered complimentary digestifs and coffee. The owner is very friendly and helpful.

20/05/2026: We took two middle school classes for a day out that was also educational. We had a great time: the friendly and knowledgeable staff, the organization of the space, the well-planned and well-led activities, the food, the price. Everything was perfect: a beautiful day!!!

The flavor of the ingredients is enhanced by undeniable culinary expertise. The atmosphere is cozy. To the Michelin Guide, a star is richly deserved!
