26/02/2026: I was here with some colleagues and we were incredibly hungry. Well, what can I say? Everything was delicious (the crispy mcbacon was delicious, the chicken wings and the bacon-filled potatoes were unique, I fell in love with them). My only small complaint was that the wings weren't very salty, but they were still very good. The service was excellent and fast. If I were to find myself in the area again, I would definitely go back!

25/02/2026: For the fourth time in a row, an incomplete McDrive order. The second-to-last time was one less ice cream, this last time even a Happy Meal was left out. Summary of the evening: the adult eats, the child doesn't. One has to empty the bags in front of them just to be safe. They just can't do it.

16/02/2026: The hotel is centrally located, just a minute's drive from all directions to the surrounding towns. Team Leader Alessandra is very helpful, pleasant to chat with, and has a wealth of local knowledge. Franca and the rest of the team are truly helpful, proactive, and ready to help with anything. The hotel is spotless and has excellent air conditioning! The restaurant is truly excellent in terms of seating, cleanliness, and aesthetics, with top-quality, practically zero-mile food and generous portions at truly reasonable prices. The wood-fired pizzeria also serves truly excellent pizzas, both in quality and quantity! In short, for those looking for a comfortable stay with excellent traditional cuisine, you can't miss Sa Orte... trust me, you won't regret it... 👏👏👏👏👏

19/08/2025: We stopped for a good breakfast, ordering three coffees, one cappuccino, and three croissants, all averagely good. The service, provided by a young woman, was very courteous and attentive, and the prices are fair (see attached receipt). We didn't have the chance to try the gelato for which the place is famous, but it looked very promising.

25/11/2025: Very good pizza. It's very special for those who try it for the first time. The dough is very thin and crispy, but it's a bit floury. Classic flavors, the ingredients are added raw. If you like pesto, I recommend the Carlofortina, which is very balanced.

19/11/2025: Really bad experience, it was a very sweet puff pastry with a bit of sweetish sauce and mozzarella, highly not recommended

04/01/2026: Located in the center of Orgosolo, the restaurant is a bit hidden, but with signage along the main street, it was a pleasant and tasty surprise on today's dull and rainy day. The restaurant is basic but welcoming, with excellent table service, a truly excellent menu selection, and excellent food quality.

04/01/2026: An incredible stay, comfortable room, splendid view, excellent location, and superb breakfast! The owner was kind and even helped us get breakfast early one morning. Finally, the restaurant was a real highlight; we had some fabulous dinners that we still remember months later!

31/12/2025: This was the best carbonara I’ve had so far in Sardinia.(We’ve been here already 10days now) You can choose the portion size you prefer, and the flavor was exactly to my taste—absolutely perfect. It was a rainy night, and most places were closed. From the outside, the restaurant looked more like a pub, and inside, loud hard rock music was playing, so at first I lowered my expectations. But it turned into one of the most pleasant surprises I’ve had in a long time. You could really feel that the staff were providing genuine, heartfelt service.

09/11/2025: It's not fancy, it's not modern. It's a place with a small restaurant area. Quality food, friendly and fast service, a clean place but above all, original decor. Special.

23/09/2025: We visited them for the first time to try the mutton as it's prepared here, called 'in cappotto'. I'd never eaten it cooked this way, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The portion was very generous, accompanied by potatoes and carasau bread soaked in the mutton broth. You could also choose the tripe menu. Highly recommended for lovers of this authentic cuisine.

19/08/2025: During a quick visit to Nuoro, we stopped at this historic café on the city's main street. Offering a traditional/tourist menu, we ordered: 2 mixed salads with mozzarella, a portion of salmon and arugula, and a caprese salad with buffalo mozzarella. We also paired it with two Sardinian Marduk Pilsener beers, two bottles of water, and three coffees. The cuisine is practically unremarkable, given the cold dishes we ordered, which, however, were average in appearance, taste, and ingredients. The bill, €66 (for four), was also reasonable for the amount ordered and the efficient, friendly, and attentive service provided by a young woman. A thoroughly satisfactory and unfussy experience in a lovely historic café.

03/06/2025: An institution since 1875, perhaps the most beautiful bar in Nuoro. Excellent herbal teas, excellent everything. Seeing it closed breaks my heart. I hope the municipality of Nuoro will take action to help reopen a historic cafe, since it's no ordinary place and given that the rent was certainly not cheap... mistakenly. Just like they do in every city in Europe.
