15/03/2026: For an appetizer of sausage, ham, and some olives, a portion of wild boar with potatoes, water, and 1/2 liter of house wine! 35 euros per person! Too much! The location is old and needs updating, the service is mediocre. I don't think I'll return.

18/02/2026: I happened upon it for lunch and I have to say I had a very good meal. The place is dated, but neat and clean, and offers a wide variety of seafood and meat options. All the staff were very friendly.

24/08/2025: Passing by, we decided to stop for dinner. We looked for a place and based on the positive reviews, we trusted it. I can confirm: the pizza was excellent (they had zucchini flowers available and recommended I order it: zucchini flowers, bottarga, and shrimp), thin, just the way I like it, delicious dough, excellent ingredients. My husband ordered beef steak with a side of grilled vegetables. Everything was delicious, the meat was excellent quality, tender, and well-cooked. The kids had penne with tomato sauce, and they loved it. Fair prices. Very kind and welcoming staff. Nice location. We'll definitely be back and recommend it.

25/10/2025: A private and quiet hotel with very large rooms. We were in the family suite, and for five of us, there was plenty of space, with plenty of room to play and move around. It must have been at least 40 square meters. Good restaurant and plentiful breakfast.

28/08/2025: A peaceful and very pleasant place. The staff is small, but very friendly and welcoming. It's a mountain retreat with simple rooms and fabulous decor! The restaurant has a varied and delicious menu.

02/10/2025: We stayed at Hotel Sa Lolla in Barumini and were struck by the splendid outdoor courtyard: a meticulously maintained garden and a truly evocative "su arrostitoiu" (grilled meat roaster) with a fireplace, where we enjoyed excellent grilled mutton, prepared with great care and truly delicious, as well as stewed mutton with wild cardoons and exceptional pappardelle with ragù. The atmosphere is welcoming and authentic, ideal for a convivial moment. The rooms and pool area could be further enhanced to make the experience even more complete. On the other hand, the owners were exceptionally kind, always available to provide us with useful and interesting information about the area. The location is perfect for visiting the archaeological site of Su Nuraxi, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a must-see. Overall, a pleasant stay, enriched by the genuine hospitality and the charm of the outdoor spaces.

Vany has been a go-to place in Villacidro for years now, but their true strength is their staff, made up of young men and women who work hard every day, with the smiles and determination of true professionals, to make the final product truly unique. Well done, guys, keep it up...

04/11/2025: What was very surprising, while almost everyone (local) comes to pick up pizza or eats on the spot, are their burgers!!! The palette of flavors, from peppers, pickles, fresh meat, home-baked rolls, provolone .... etc. is incredible! A gem to discover in Villacidro.

04/01/2026: Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 PM, I tried unsuccessfully to call to order three takeout pizzas. I decided to go in person, arriving around 7:40 PM (after a pointless argument about parking with another crafty and rude customer). I was greeted coldly, waited 10 minutes, and finally was asked if I needed to order. The answer was obvious, and I was told it wasn't possible before 10:00 PM... 7:40 PM??? 😒. Thoughts... it's better this way. The place is dirty, the walls are completely black from the soot from the oven, pizzas are seen coming out of the oven, flat, dry, and burnt, with no trace of leavened dough. The kitchen staff has long, loose hair and no hats, and the pizza chef and oven staff are the same. The oven only has room for four pizzas. Of course you said it was for 10:00 PM, even though it was 7:40 PM. Even assuming you have reservations, you always accommodate customers who show up at the pizzeria, even in first-come, first-served order, for goodness sake. Change jobs... 😒 I'm leaving with the suspicion that having pointed out to the customer earlier that he was being sneaky about the parking wasn't appreciated by the pizza chef (maybe friends). Anyway, at 8:25 PM, takeout pizzas were served properly at the Metropolitan pizzeria, the best in Guspini... Pizzeria da Mariano is to be avoided... despicable.

12/12/2025: It would be a nice place if run by people with a modicum of culture. This is the minimum requirement for a literary café.

I always suffer from a bit of heartburn with pizza, regardless of the ingredients, but this one didn't bother me!! 08/11/2025: What can I say? A wonderful weekend of serenity and tranquility. A truly homely little place. The very kind owner was attentive to all our requests. The food and accommodation are truly five-star. The authentic dishes, the good house wine, and the location close to everything make it a place to choose without a doubt. Kudos to Giada, a kind and friendly woman, always with a smile that accompanied our meal. We will definitely return.
