29/06/2025: Pizzeria Da Luigi - Where "Not the Best" Still Means Amazing (Because... Italy) In Tricase, saying a pizza place isn’t the best is like saying your Ferrari isn’t the fastest, it’s still a Ferrari. Pizzeria Da Luigi serves up a solid, delicious, can’t-go-wrong kind of pizza. Maybe it's not the single best slice in town, but honestly? That’s like ranking Michelangelo’s sculptures, some preferences are just personal. The crust is crispy, the ingredients are fresh, and the vibe is proper local. You leave satisfied, full, and wondering if you’re just a little too spoiled by Italy. If this exact pizza landed anywhere else in the world, they’d crown Luigi emperor and name a national holiday after him. But in Tricase? It’s just Tuesday.

31/01/2026: They serve what they catch, which is a tempting feature, so the menu is always changing. Authentic food, well-cooked and beautifully presented. The location is also beautiful.

07/12/2025: ...we happened upon it by chance, and found a truly lovely little place. The dining room was small but welcoming, the staff friendly, and the food truly excellent. I was pleasantly surprised that they denied my request for fried fish... simply because the daily catch was different... What was served was delicious, especially the mackerel parmigiana. 11/02/2026: The waiter comes to the table and rudely confronts me after pointing out that a very simple first course (pasta) arrived almost an hour after ordering, in a very sparsely crowded restaurant (on a Wednesday evening). The fish and chips appetizer we ordered (€27) was devoured in 5 minutes, and the wait for the first course was 48 minutes, as stated by the same waiter to whom I mentioned our inconvenience (he was desperate to be right). Does this seem normal to you? We're not talking about a risotto with special creaminess and long cooking times, but a very simple first course, quite mediocre, I must say, especially the cacio e pepe with prawns; the ciceri e tria was definitely more decent. From the heated discussion that ensued at the table, in the presence of other customers who also received their dishes very late, as they themselves stated, they consider it perfectly normal for the dish to be served at the table so long after ordering. Considering the discreet atmosphere and the price of each dish, I don't think such unnerving wait times are normal, much less the staff's rude response to our disappointment. We've also noticed that they're very good at not caring and just running the cashier as if nothing was wrong! 👏

09/10/2025: An excellent experience. The fish was incredibly fresh and carefully prepared: the first course was balanced in flavor, the second course beautifully presented and rich in flavor. The glass of white wine, perfectly paired, enhanced each course. The service was attentive yet discreet, and the atmosphere was elegant and welcoming. A restaurant that showcases the quality of its ingredients without being overbearing, ideal for a pleasant and relaxed dinner.

16/11/2025: On what culinary basis is this place given a 5-star rating? It's a house set up as a "restaurant" with absolutely no staff. The meat is raw and nauseating. Extremely high prices that don't reflect the terrible experience we had. Long waits and constantly incorrect dishes. €29 for a smelly steak. Please open this place only when you have an idea of ​​what you're going to put on people's plates and when there is someone who knows how to serve it all.

31/10/2025: I've decided to give this pizzeria, located in the heart of Tricase on Via Roma, four stars because overall it was a good experience, with some very positive aspects and a few small details that could be improved. I'll start with the strong point: the location. It deserves five stars alone because it's truly excellent—it's right in the center of town, easy to reach, and perfect for an evening with friends or a stroll after dinner. The only downside is that parking is limited and not reserved, so you may have to wander around a bit to find a spot, especially on busy days. The location is modern and welcoming, tastefully furnished with attention to detail. However, the interior space is rather limited: the tables are very close together (in my case, I was about 80 cm from another table), which can take away some privacy and comfort. It's a shame, because the place has great potential and you can sense the care that went into it. As for the food, the pizzas were good, well-cooked, and made with quality ingredients. The only small inconvenience was a mistake in my order: I'd asked for a pizza with speck and scamorza, but it came with prosciutto and another cheese (which wasn't scamorza, though I don't remember exactly which). It wasn't a big deal—the pizza was still tasty—but with a little more attention, it would have been perfect. The service was kind and helpful, if a little unprepared at the time. They were just starting to use a new app to take orders, and the waitress had a few difficulties at first, but she worked hard, kept smiling, and apologized several times very politely. In the end, she managed to handle everything, and her commitment and goodwill were evident. One detail I appreciated was that, at the end of the meal, there were four desserts on the house. To be honest, they looked more like packaged donuts, but it was still a nice gesture on the part of the restaurant, and they definitely deserve thanks for their attentive service. In conclusion, it was a lovely evening, in a modern, well-kept restaurant with excellent pizza. There were a few small imperfections, but nothing that detracted from the experience. You could sense the desire to do well and improve.
