07/04/2024: Very nice place. I chose the fish-based menu of the day. Very good except for the first course in which the fish didn't seem to be there, the pasta was very al dente and the herbs (arugula) were burnt to the point where you felt like you were eating pieces of wood. I'd say it's a dish they should revisit. Excellent starter and main course. I didn't have the dessert, so I can't judge, but the elixir (presented like this) i.e. the bitter with orange blossom, not bad but nothing special, like orange-flavoured limoncello. The parking is negative, non-existent and the lights are too dim that to clean the fish you have to use a magnifying glass and, in the long run, this lighting makes your eyes tired. Anyway, everything is good but not the best. Attentive and perfect staff.

I'm from the area but I didn't know the place, I highly recommend you all to try the dishes on the menu.

21/11/2023: Excellent and non-trivial dishes at Ippazio Turco's informal mini-restaurant in the historic center of Tricase. We've tried almost all of them...although the menu changes often. Sea bream in Boccaccio, Catalan octopus, Millefeuille di Bombette, just to name a few.
The scottona burgers and the now famous Polpanino are also excellent!

25/11/2023: Not easily reachable especially with large cars, it is an "educational" farm with a small zoo. The animals are sufficiently cared for. Lunch or dinner is available from a fixed menu at a modest price. The portions are just barely enough. The location is pleasant.
01/11/2023: I recently had the pleasure of visiting this delightful farmhouse restaurant in the heart of Salento, an unforgettable experience, thanks to their excellent cuisine and the delicious homemade dishes that I had the opportunity to savor.
The restaurant's atmosphere was welcoming and familiar, with a touch of authenticity reflected in the rustic decor and thoughtful details. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.
The “Fica cake” is a true culinary jewel in the heart of Salento. The expertly prepared homemade dishes, the welcoming atmosphere and the courteous staff made my visit an unforgettable experience. If you are looking for an authentic Salento culinary experience, I can only recommend you visit this restaurant.

24/03/2024: Because of restaurants like this, going out for dinner has become a luxury. €66 per person, in Japan I ate Wagyu and spent less.
All seasoned with an ugly place and mediocre service. If they had offered the €4 of cherry liqueur on a bill of €450, perhaps they would have avoided the review.

In the summer you can eat outside in the large internal courtyard. The icing on the cake: it's 200 meters from my house, so I walk there 😁. Highly recommended

02/04/2024: We found ourselves by chance while wandering around the web, specifically on Trip Advisor, and we chose to have Easter lunch in this very welcoming and pleasant place dating back to the 1700s, with a vast menu where you can choose any type of meat, both cut and various types of controlled steaks. and named.
I highly recommend taking the sliced picanha, truly delicious, after all the choice of meat depends on your taste.
Very efficient and polite service.
We were very satisfied and will definitely return!

Let's start from the wonderful place in which this reality is immersed: the historic home of the Piarists, located in the historic center of Tricase, where Antonio Carbone, the innkeeper, in addition to being a genuine person, brings his passion and experience to the dishes historical and researched that it offers. Varieties of fine meats are offered, combined with side dishes and traditional dishes that are almost no longer found on our tables, reviving what were the tastes of the past. The focaccia from Bari, the tarts, the desserts, the bread, all homemade, and these days gentlemen, knowing what you bring to the table is not so obvious and is becoming increasingly difficult.
The service is attentive, attentive and professional.
Having said that, I recommend this place to retrace the traditions of the past and to savor the quality of the meat on offer. A mystical experience.
