The owners are always courteous and professional, and there's also quality background music. The products are made with select, high-quality ingredients. In addition to the classics, they also offer specialty flours, with a selection that changes daily.

21/12/2025: We had our daughter's baptism at this location, and being from Naples, I wasn't familiar with it. We immediately clicked with the owner regarding the date and the execution of the day. I can say without hesitation that it completely exceeded our expectations; everything was as described, and I tasted a combination of flavors that will never go away. The staff was always attentive, smiling, and youthful, and the atmosphere was enchanting. I certainly won't be returning for any event in Galatina. My sincere compliments. Chapeau!!!

08/12/2025: We chose I Due Trappeti to celebrate our daughter's baptism. From the very beginning, we were captivated by the beauty of the venue, a warm and intimate space that allowed us to fully share the celebration with our closest family and friends. Furthermore, the atmosphere and Christmas decorations made it even more beautiful and elegant. The dishes served were truly excellent; everything was incredibly fresh and the flavors were particularly refined. The service was equally precise, punctual, and attentive to every need. A special thanks goes to Francesca and Filippo, two fantastic people who immediately understood our needs and were always ready and available to support our decisions and provide clarification where necessary. Based on our experience, we can only recommend this fantastic venue to anyone who wishes to try it. And thank you again for everything.

02/02/2026: A fantastic pastry shop with a selection of vegan products, including pasticciotto. The owner passionately explained to us how the name "Dolce Salute" (Sweet Health) is the motto this pastry shop believes in.

03/10/2025: We contacted the pastry shop for our wedding. The cake was excellent, and all our guests loved it, as they were amazed that it was gluten- and lactose-free. The ice cream (coconut and mango) was also excellent, and not only tasted great, it was a perfect ending to the meal. The spectacular cake was also stunning, and everyone was amazed. Highly recommended for anyone with dietary restrictions, and more.

15/02/2026: I'm returning to this place after about 4-5 years. That time was June, this time in February. I'd say the situation warrants investigation, as we were placed (despite a RESERVATION) in a horrible place, which I highly doubt is safe for eating. I've attached photos to show what was there: a hole in the wall! The service was TERRIBLE; the person bringing the dishes didn't even know who they were supposed to deliver them to. The meat was cooked medium, and they brought it rare, "expert butchers." The sandwich was cold! Whoever runs this place should examine their conscience; they even charge a cover charge to be put in that hole. Shameful! I'll give you a star out of pity.

22/01/2026: Excellent meat. You can even order it raw. It's a shame the inside is small and the tables are quite crowded together. Outside, however, there are two options: a covered/closed area on the street and a furnished area in the neighboring villa. Recommended!

27/02/2026: Very well-kept and well-organized place. The staff in the dining room are very kind. It's a shame about the pizza which for me gives the sensation of piadina... pizza.... But it could be my personal taste.

22/02/2026: Disappointing experience. They said over the phone to buy tickets directly there, but when we arrived, they made us wait 30 minutes before telling us that wasn't true. After a complaint, they let us in, but the venue was too crowded for its size. Not recommended.

10/03/2026: The atmosphere is sad and gloomy. The food is pleasant, but the service leaves a little to be desired. There are worse things to be seen.

18/02/2026: A pleasant discovery in the Galatone countryside: a farmhouse immersed in nature and silence, tucked away and fortunately far from the Salento nightlife. The culinary offerings are excellent, ranging from typical dishes to simple, traditional fare. Nothing particularly elaborate, but everything is good and substantial. The bill is reasonable (€30/person). The service is a delight 😉. Would I return? Yes.

19/03/2026: A great place to spend a pleasant evening

13/03/2026: Unfortunately, zero stars aren't an option. An evening to forget, absurd in every way. I've been there several times, but I don't think there will be a next time. First of all, they gave us a table next to 25 non-rowdy children, more than that, left to do whatever they wanted by both the parents (who were nearby) and the wait staff. So much so, we saw other tables refuse to sit in that room; they couldn't find us another table. The pizzas weren't as good as we remembered, just okay; in fact, one was even wrong and remade badly. I called a waiter, and he looked at me condescendingly, nodded, and then didn't come to the table. I just wanted to order another beer, I didn't force you to work. A headache-inducing evening, and I work in the restaurant industry myself, but I absolutely can't remember a situation this grotesque. Definitely not recommended. I'd change the name from Zona Franca to Cambiate Zona.

25/11/2025: I met the owner, Francesco, at a ceremony I held at his former restaurant when he was just starting out. From the very beginning, I appreciated his professionalism, integrity, commitment to quality, and passion for his work. Over the years, I've continued to appreciate the deliciousness and authenticity of his dishes. What can I say about Matambre? A welcoming place, extremely friendly service, and top-quality food. Congratulations, Francesco. I hope to return soon.

28/12/2025: Nestled in one of Salento's most beautiful historic centers, that of the stunning town of Galatina. A casual, homey restaurant with excellent food and local produce. Special thanks to Fabiola, who welcomed us with her warmth and professionalism, making us feel right at home. Highly recommended.

13/11/2025: Hello. We spent a lovely evening at this beautiful restaurant in the historic center of Galatina. We ate delicious Roman pinza, a good house wine, and a platter of quality cured meats and cheeses. What can I say? Fantastic. As a true gourmet, I recommend it. It's a must! They also have another restaurant nearby where you can enjoy homemade Salento cuisine. Compliments to Luigi, the owner, and to Marco and the girls who work there. Highly recommended!
