16/06/2026: Friendly staff, really great pizza

13/06/2026: We dined at Il Pirata at the recommendation of a dear cured meat supplier. We were looking for a quality restaurant to enjoy a well-made Cacciucco. At Il Pirata, we found excellence in every way. From the beautiful venue, both indoors and outdoors, to the very kind staff, the excellent food, the carefully sourced raw materials, all our dishes were consistently above our expectations. The Cacciucco is made exactly like our grandmothers used to make. If you pass through Follonica, definitely dine at this restaurant. You'll take home a memory you'll definitely want to share. Thanks to Stefano, his adorable son, and all the staff.

18/07/2026: The place appears to be welcoming. Welcoming staff, but the very surly managers favor tables. The food was below expectations. They don't know what hospitality is. We asked to move our table because they sat us next to the pizza oven, but the managers didn't even show up to apologize, ignoring our request. They told us the kitchen was closed, leaving us without a main course, but they served food to a table after us. So I didn't know if the kitchen was closed for us and open for others. Moral of the story: don't be fooled by appearances.

06/07/2026: Clean place, friendly staff. The anchovies are truly delicious, the cheese from the cured meats appetizer is a true specialty, and then, as promised, the review for the pizza wizard cannot be missed, a margherita that is a spectacle for the eyes and the palate, which pleasantly surprised me, I have to recommend it. I happened upon it by chance from Rome on June 28, 2026, and I already miss it, you know, I highly recommend it for its excellent quality, and the quality/price ratio that could not be missed. 07/08/2026: Excellent food, I truly enjoyed every single dish. I only had the fried calamari and shrimp left over because I was too full from the other dishes, but that was worth it too! Perfect and welcoming service, highly recommended!

03/08/2026: Excellent restaurant! From the looks of it, an excellent selection of land and sea dishes, and I can confirm that the sea food is exceptional! A delicious mixed fried fish accompanied by truly tasty sandwiches and seafood entrees, with just the right portions. The quality-price ratio is more than fair, especially considering it's right in the center of Castiglione della Pescaia. The staff is very friendly, pleasant, and professional, something that doesn't at all resonate with some of the comments found in other reviews. These criticisms are completely incomprehensible, just as the criticisms about the quality-price ratio are incomprehensible. If the food is so good, especially considering the portions, I don't understand why there's such pointless criticism.

10/07/2026: Delicious pizza. Light and not at all heavy. The dough is well-made and doesn't stick to your stomach. Fair prices and friendly, helpful staff. Recommended!

18/06/2026: Excellent restaurant, with fast and friendly staff. Also, very good pizzas, it's a shame there's a bit too much oil.

22/10/2025: Well, let me put it this way: it was the worst restaurant of our 14-day vacation. Actually, it was the only one where we didn't like it. Some of the portions were quite small, and the wine, unfortunately, wasn't particularly good either. The waiters sometimes ignored us completely, and while they agreed to a special request, they ultimately didn't follow through.

21/09/2025: Delicious seafood and other Italian dishes at an affordable price. Highly recommended!

22/07/2026: The food was delicious, but the portions were very small. The drinks were more expensive than I’d expected. The service was average.

10/07/2026: You can buy excellent quality bread here! It's very important to me to find bread that stays fresh for several days, is easily digestible, and truly tasty: I can only find it here in this area. Lunch is also very reasonably priced and truly delicious!

02/06/2026: Great local pizzeria. Even though they were packed with cyclists from the nearly bike event they found a table for us. Great staff. We will return on a quieter night for sure. Inside and outside seating

01/06/2026: The magic of Pitgliano is always hidden in La Magica Torre. A return visit is a must, as each time I return, I rediscover the scents and flavors of this magical land. The view, the pici alla cinta senese, the house wine... everything is always perfect for an evening immersed in the magic of the Maremma. How fortunate to feel at home even away from home, thanks to La Magica Torre.

15/10/2025: I had the pleasure of dining at PortaVia restaurant and want to compliment the high quality of the food and service. The grilled octopus, executed with impeccable skill, deserves a special mention: the texture was perfectly balanced, tender yet slightly crunchy on the outside. The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming, the staff is professional, and the attention to detail contributes to an overall excellent experience.
