21/08/2026: The pizza is always superb, thin crust, and delicious. Mushrooms are their forte; everything is good. Yesterday, due to the weather, they put us inside: we'd never been there before, but the dining room was definitely lovely. The outside seating under the chestnut trees, however, remains my favorite (but yesterday it was really too cold).

27/08/2026: Unfortunately, everything was a 0. Honodinado ordered a pizza at 8:00 PM, telling me it would arrive at 9:15 PM. At 9:20 PM, I called and they told me it was on its way. At 9:30 PM, I called again and the pizzas were coming out of the oven. I asked for the pizza with buffalo mozzarella to be marked because my son is allergic to lactose, and it wasn't. If that's a service! The bottom line is, the pizzas arrived at 10:50 PM, 35 minutes late. In the end, my son had to eat something else because of the delay, because I would have taken him to the emergency room because the buffalo mozzarella hadn't been marked as I requested.

24/08/2026: I've bought takeout pizzas by chance, but... after the first time, I've had them a few more times. They're delicious, they're always on time, and once I even asked for an extra one upon arrival, and they delivered it for me. They were fantastic. Whenever I'm craving pizza, it's definitely at Pirata 2.

11/05/2026: We ordered three pizzas for takeout and were unfortunately a bit dissatisfied overall. We ended up paying much more than the menu price (about the price of four pizzas), which we only realized too late and which surprised us. The Pizza 4 Formaggi was incredibly delicious, and the dough was fantastic! The Siciliana wasn't available, so we were offered an alternative with asparagus. Unfortunately, we only realized at home that this pizza contained meat and was therefore unsuitable for us as vegetarians. In the future, it would be helpful to offer a vegetarian option when ordering a vegetarian pizza. Finally, we had a Pizza Ortolana, which looked really delicious! Unfortunately, one ingredient on the pizza was extremely bitter and tasted awful. The pizzeria itself is beautifully and lovingly decorated, and the Pizza 4 Formaggi was truly one of the best I've ever eaten. We weren't so lucky with the other pizzas.

10/06/2026: We discovered this great restaurant thanks to the reviews. So, if you're passing through Orbetello, a stop at Nico's is a must. A restaurant with a capital R, starting with the welcome... a lot of attention to detail. A varied menu with dishes that far exceed expectations. There's not much to say... octopus... linguine with clams, bottarga, and a sprinkling of lemon with a creamy sauce that forces you to mop up the plate and polish it off... fresh octopus, etc., I could write a book about it 😂😂😂😂😂... We'll be back very soon and I recommend you do the same... for us, Orbetello = Nico's Restaurant. The rest, ummmmm, come and enjoy what the staff offers you.

03/06/2026: Booked for two at 9:30 PM on a pre-holiday. Nice place with indoor and outdoor seating, professional staff, an appetizer, two pizzas, water, half a liter of house wine, bread, and table service. It cost about €35. I wouldn't return, both for the quality of the food and for the comment after I posted. I'm also glad I put the manager in a good mood. Laughter is good for your health.

18/08/2026: I ordered spaghetti with clams, and what I got was a soup of water with spaghetti floating in it. Whole garlic cloves are a real insult to the cuisine. The children next to me were throwing toys on the floor and screaming while their parents were minding their own business. That's a good indication of the kind of people who set foot in this "trattoria." My pizza arrived with the pasta and got cold. I don't think I'll ever set foot in this place lost in the cosmic void again.

08/07/2026: Anyone who loves classic TV series like "A House in Tuscany" will instantly recognize this place. We were regulars in Caldana from 2002 to 2009. Il Borgo Nuova was our favorite place to start the day, and we'd often return for a drink in the evening. We always enjoyed the food, and that's still true after almost 15 years. The food is good, the service is friendly, and it evokes a sense of nostalgia. Everything is a bit quieter now; the whole village strolls through the streets in the evenings, and the festivals are cozy, just like you imagine Tuscany to be. Of course, there are a few new shops, and some are no longer there. But overall, Caldana and Il Borgo Nuova are just as charming as they were 15 years ago.

28/06/2026: We booked a table and waited 40 minutes. No one even looked at us during the entire wait. Unexpected events can happen, but kindness can always make everything less unpleasant.
