06/10/2024: Now the restaurant is called Hi bou, it reopened about two months ago with new management and excellent dishes. A little expensive but excellent raw material, the service needs to be improved a little, but we'll be back.

28/09/2024: Faccio MEA CULPA….. avrei dovuto leggere le recensioni ….. non abbiamo fatto in tempo a sederci che già ci hanno chiesto se avevamo scelto dal menù….. fortunatamente abbiamo avuto l’accortezza di ordinare solo le pizze…. Soldi sprecati….. Da evitare assolutamente

09/12/2023: Ridiculous number of staff members for the number of clients, and all in all disorganized.
We’ve waited a long time for our order to be taken. The food came rapidly, but poor quality for the price and the cutlery was not well washed.
Never received our water, even if was asked twice. We ordered some white wine and in our opinion there was water in it.
Don’t recommend coming here.
04/09/2023: First restaurant we visit in lucca, we ordered a panini and pizza margherita. We got a frozen pizza and the panini bread was old. I expected a better quality for the food but it was a 0. They get a star only because the staff were nice.

09/11/2023: Pensavo meglio, aspettativa raggiunta con appena sufficienza, tutto nella media dei locali in zona.
07/08/2023: It's not called that anymore. Now it is grandfather Francesco's tavern. We eat well. Honestly very limited menu. They no longer make gluten-free fried fish. Gluten free pizza yes and it was good. The other pizzas were also good but they absolutely need to change knives because they were difficult to cut. Another detail: prices are really too high...
