20/08/2024: Our recent visit to this venue turned out to be an amazing experience. It was our first time in this restaurant, chosen out of curiosity to try a new environment, and our expectations were greatly exceeded. The atmosphere is enchanting, with vintage furnishings with attention to the smallest details, which contributes to creating a welcoming and refined environment. The staff proved to be extremely friendly and professional, with constant and discreet attention to the customer from the entrance to the end of the evening. The quality of the food was absolutely exceptional. The ingredients used stand out clearly for their freshness and quality, higher than the city average, while the dish combinations are the result of meticulous culinary research. In particular, we appreciated the variety of pizzas, available in three different doughs. The artisanal chips turned out to be a pleasant surprise, with a delicious and authentic flavour. The meal ended in a sublime way with cannoli, tiramisu and cheesecake which delighted our palates. We then returned three more times 😋 during a two-week holiday in Syracuse!

26/10/2024: Spinti dalla voglia di mangiare nuovamente la salsiccia tipica, buonissima, di Palazzolo ci siamo trovati in questo bel locale in centro. Ambiente caldo e ben curato, gentilezza da parte della proprietà come da proverbi siciliani, cibo assolutamente genuino e dai sapori che portano indietro all’infanzia. Abbiamo preso un antipasto della casa con qualche piccolo rinforzo di arrosticini di cacvallo e parmigiana di melanzane che niente aveva da invidiare a quella delle nostre mamme e nonne. “Cavati” al sugo di maiale e salsiccia di Palazzolo innaffiati da un vino locale che ovviamente non poteva che essere che un mero d’abola ingentilito da un po’ di frappato ed ecco che le emozioni sono esplose tutte insieme. Torneremo senz’altro per provare anche tutto il resto del menù che ci chiamava insistentemente. Complimenti ancora alla gestione e alla qualità dei cibi.

01/10/2024: We have eaten at this cozy restaurant three times and each time it was a fabulous experience made only better by the extreme kindness and professionalism of the family who owns it. Santo is a fabulous host, and his brother and mother cook delicious, unpretentious Sicilian food. The flavors are those of home and the quantities are extremely generous. Do not miss the antipasto which includes about 12 different things, among them a stuffed deep fried egg and a potato croquette that are truly fantastic. All the pastas we have tried have been excellent and the sweet ricotta cassatelle for dessert are out of this world. This is a gem of a restaurant so don't miss it if you are in the area.

24/12/2024: I chose our "sala nuova Zagara'" in Sicily for an important private event, I must say that the tasting itinerary was the top, from the good food, to the wine tasting, to finish the service between waiter and sommelier, all top for over 5 stars, also to finish I gave a surprise to my wife, but the chef surprised us with the explanation of the mysterious dish which in the end was my gift for her... Everything was magnificent, I recommend it.

22/12/2024: We went to the La Trota restaurant, located on the road to Palazzolo Acreide, for a family evening and were pleasantly impressed by the experience. The venue has a large car park, which is certainly an advantage, especially for those arriving with multiple cars. The structure is very well looked after, both inside and outside, with a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The service was extremely fast and the staff were courteous and attentive, which made our dinner even more enjoyable. We opted for the pizzas, which turned out to be an excellent choice. Among the various proposals, we found some particular pizzas with smoked trout, an original option that intrigued and satisfied us. The internal room is very particular, carved into the rock. Another point in favor of the restaurant is the large park that surrounds it, perfect for a digestive walk after the meal. It is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the area. Furthermore, we were pleased to notice that, compared to the areas closer to the sea, here we enjoy a truly pleasant coolness, an aspect that we particularly appreciated on hot summer evenings. Finally, the price is average, considering the quality of the food and service offered.

16/12/2024: Invited to a reception, we were welcomed by an aperitif consisting of pretzels... The appetizer instead remained on display under the cellophane for more than an hour, so that the cold ones became hot and vice versa. The first course arrived at one in the morning: a huge plate of overcooked risotto and a piece of trout as a "garnish". The food waste was enormous, as all the diners left behind their dishes. When we arrived, the imperial table was without chairs: we had to wait for those in the aperitif area to be free to move them. The waiters served the empty seats at the various tables, rather than giving dishes to those who were present and seated. Furthermore, the lagoon location ensured that we had plates, glasses and bread full of midges.

15/11/2024: I thought it was impossible, but it turned out that you can actually eat better Carbonara in Poland than here in Italy. The one we were served here looked more like scrambled eggs mixed with pasta. Another big minus is that even though pizza is on the menu, you can only order it in the evening.

23/07/2024: We went for a family dinner and were amazed by how tasty the pizza was. It was so much better than the ones that we have in our country. The place is cute and the staff goes out of their way to serve you well. It was a wonderful evening.

12/07/2024: Pizzas de 10! Hemos comido una margarita y una calzone de mortadela y pesto de pistacho espectacular. Enormes para el precio y realmente sabrosas. El personal muy atento y amable. Lo único que no nos gustó es que en la cuenta no está especificado que es que y hay 2 cargos de 2€ que no sabemos que fue. Tampoco preguntamos porque fue tan barato que no miramos el ticket al principio. Volveremos fijo

19/10/2024: Group dinner but even though I was the only vegan I was offered a really good pumpkin soup, pan-fried chard with dried tomato and the inevitable caponata! Considering the average restaurant, I appreciated that they didn't offer the usual grilled vegetables as a starter! The talent is there, I recommend insisting on vegetables! 😁 Pizza just as good!
