28/11/2025: I had the mortadella pizza, and I have to say that with the chopped pistachios and the perito, it's really delicious. The crust is a little high and crunchy, and delicious! I really enjoyed everything!

03/03/2026: Simply put, the pizza was delicious. As vegans, we sometimes struggle with finding flavorful options for pizza around Sicily. Thankfully, here at Sicily they had very flavorful options and they were very accommodating to us. Also the owner Sebastiano promised that he would be adding Vegan cheese and gluten free options very soon!

12/01/2026: Excellent service from start to finish. Each dish was delicious and perfectly balanced. We had dishes like involtini di pesce spada, baccala, prawno rosso, tentacoli di polpo, frittura mista, insalata della nonna, and a wonderful wine called Vulka. 100% recommended. 27/09/2025: The atmosphere is discreetly furnished in a nautical style, with indoor and outdoor tables on a nice veranda. The staff is well-trained and ready to accommodate your requests. The restrooms are clean, although not overly large. The fish caponata is truly exquisite, as are the paccheri allo scoglio, with fresh cherry tomatoes. Overall, the prices are fair for the quality of the dishes.

24/09/2025: A beautifully decorated place where everything breathes the sea. Lovely interior and fantastic food! The service was also excellent! Definitely recommended for a stop for lunch or dinner!

08/03/2026: We had a great time. The owner was very kind and welcoming, always smiling between courses. We ate very well, with fresh fish and truly excellent first courses. If you're in the area, definitely stop by Sciccheria.

01/03/2026: I ordered a medium steak, but it came rare and rubbery. They tried to cook it more, but it only got worse. The English translation of the menu item is also incorrect. They were willing to make custom pasta for my son, which I appreciated. However, the overall experience was disappointing. The waitress seemed rushed and was sometimes rude, clearing our plates without asking if we were finished. She also didn’t seem pleased that we weren’t happy with the food. Follow-up: The restaurant mentioned that the owner attended our table. That is technically true — for about 15 seconds to confirm the order. The actual service (taking the order, serving, clearing plates) was handled by the waitress, who interacted with us 4–5 times and was consistently rude. No issue with the owner’s brief appearance — just clarifying the facts. If needed, I can also ask my friend to share their opinion about the steaks. I’m just not sure it would help your case.

15/02/2026: First of all, Ma Trota restaurant is located in the municipality of Noto, not Palazzolo Acreide. With friends on Saturday, February 14th, we ordered only pizza. We waited over two hours. No one apologized for the poor service. We paid €20 each for a regular pizza and a small beer.

24/10/2025: This is our first time here, and I have to say that, aside from the somewhat long wait (which was understandable given the number of people seated), we were very happy and satisfied. The platter was delicious and plentiful, the pizzas excellent and full...!!! The place was clean and welcoming, the staff was "tidy", helpful, and kind. The prices are a bit high, I must say, but you pay for quality. What can I say?! We'll definitely be back, and for me, who's only been in Sicily for four months, this is definitely a great calling card...!!!

07/12/2025: PortoMatto in Avola was a delightful discovery. I ordered a first course, a truly delicious risotto: well-creamed, flavorful, but never heavy. The restaurant is elegant, with attention to detail, and the background music is not too loud and very pleasant, allowing for a peaceful conversation. Special praise goes to the table service: professional, attentive, but never intrusive. I'd especially like to highlight the kindness and empathy of the waiter, Giovanni, who really worked hard to find a solution for my wife's particularly restricted diet, trying to accommodate her in every way possible. In the end, she didn't order anything, but his face showed genuine disappointment, a sign of genuine care for the customer. Overall, a very positive experience: highly recommended.
