28/01/2025: The pasta is very delicious, and the seafood ingredients are fresh and flavorful. After traveling to various European countries for many years, this is the first time I have eaten warm toasted bread, dipped in excellent quality and slightly spicy olive oil. It is super delicious! The gentleman who served me was attentive and courteous, the price was reasonable, and the location was easy to find! I recommend everyone to come and eat here if you come to this city!

15/01/2025: A local reality that has been present in Lentini for many years, the restaurant has recently been renovated and features an internal restaurant and an outdoor lounge that the local climate allows you to use all year round. The environment is pleasant despite rather commercial choices in both finishes and furnishings. The service is of a good level, but not impeccable: it happened several times that the staff bumped into my seat without apologizing. The general friendliness could also be improved. We ordered some fried foods that arrived hot and not completely dry and some pizzas. The pizza had a classic base that could be improved in lightness and hydration, the toppings are of good quality. In my opinion, the prices are high compared to what is offered and the experience in general.

Apprezzo molto l'accoglienza, la gentilezza e la disponibilità di tutto il personale di sala, come anche dello Chef nonché proprietario del ristorante. I piatti, presentati sempre con la massima attenzione, danno a questo posto un tocco di eleganza e particolarità e la varietà dei piatti stupisce ogni volta sempre di più. Per questo il PortoMatto è da considerare come uno dei migliori ristoranti di Avola e della provincia di Siracusa.

11/01/2025: Di recente sono tornato in questo ristorante che già conoscevo e apprezzavo, questa volta organizzando una cena con tre famiglie: la mia, quella della mia ragazza e quella di mio cognato. Ancora una volta, il personale si è dimostrato impeccabile, accogliendoci con grande gentilezza e accompagnandoci per tutta la serata con professionalità, attenzione e un tocco di simpatia che ha reso l’atmosfera davvero piacevole. Abbiamo avuto modo di provare sia la pizzeria che il ristorante, e ogni piatto ci ha conquistati. Il risotto alla mandorla di Avola è stato una vera sorpresa: favoloso, un equilibrio di sapori unico! Anche le pizze non sono state da meno, con ingredienti di altissima qualità che hanno fatto la differenza. La serata si è conclusa con un mix di dolci, tutti curati nei minimi dettagli e incredibilmente buoni. È stato il modo perfetto per chiudere una cena che ci ha soddisfatti sotto ogni aspetto. Complimenti a tutto lo staff per l’ottimo lavoro. Torneremo sicuramente ancora!

27/01/2025: Invited to a reception, we were welcomed by an aperitif consisting of pretzels... The appetizer instead remained on display under the cellophane for more than an hour, so that the cold ones became hot and vice versa. The first course arrived at one in the morning: a huge plate of overcooked risotto and a piece of trout as a "garnish". The food waste was enormous, as all the diners left behind their dishes. When we arrived, the imperial table was without chairs: we had to wait for those in the aperitif area to be free to move them. The waiters served the empty seats at the various tables, rather than giving dishes to those who were present and seated. Furthermore, the lagoon location ensured that we had plates, glasses and bread full of midges. UPDATE: Mr. owner who responds to the negative reviews like this, I guarantee you that there is nothing "absolutely false" about it. Both I and the other 100+ guests are sure of both WHERE we were and WHAT we experienced and found. Greetings

19/10/2024: Group dinner but even though I was the only vegan I was offered a really good pumpkin soup, pan-fried chard with dried tomato and the inevitable caponata! Considering the average restaurant, I appreciated that they didn't offer the usual grilled vegetables as a starter! The talent is there, I recommend insisting on vegetables! 😁 Pizza just as good!

02/02/2025: One week stay in San Vigilio di Marebbe The hotel did not fully meet our expectations. The positives first. Silence, location with respect to the facilities and the center of the town, spacious room (superior), cleanliness and kindness of the staff. Below are the negative sides. Room lighting (either all on or all off); lighting in the common areas (few spaces with warm, soft light), small thermal bath, not comfortable both in terms of furnishings and the absence of spare towels and, above all, no external view of the mountains; hydromassage tub only for a fee and pool water temperature too cold (it is not 30º); limited food, not very refined and with very little choice, decidedly disappointing and the absence of a post-ski afternoon snack is felt; the ski room is poorly positioned, forcing skiers to exit from the furthest point from the lifts. Furthermore, the dated furnishings of some rooms (bar and access to the restaurant) do not blend with the modern style of others, giving, overall, a sense of approximation. Last but not least, American Express is not accepted, which is unacceptable for an accommodation facility in one of the most popular places in the skiing scene. Overall it is a decent hotel but not up to 4 stars.
