29/05/2026: We had dinner this evening at La Trota, and overall, the experience was excellent.
Starting with the food, both my girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the tagliolini and carbonara.
We also had the opportunity to try three appetizers (bruschetta with dried and grated trout, trout carpaccio, and hot-smoked trout with mayonnaise). The appetizers were excellent. The gin and juniper-marinated carpaccio is highly recommended.
We finished with trout in Saor, which was slightly too salty (personal opinion), but the combination of trout, onion, raisins, and pine nuts really impressed me.
The dessert was also good, as was the carob and persimmon combination.
The location is charming; you eat in a cave.
A special thanks to Corrado for his kindness and exceptional attention to service, and, of course, for the appetizer samples.
Unfortunately, we live quite far away, but we'll try to return.
Considering the quality of the ingredients and the sophisticated pairings, the price for dinner was very fair.

07/05/2026: Best pizza we’ve ever had!! The crust was crunchy, yet soft inside. Freshest tomato sauce. Perfect mid day lunch on our day trip to Noto.
The owners are so kind and accommodating.
Highly recommend not missing this restaurant. .

12/03/2025: We chose this restaurant based on the good reviews. Unfortunately, I don't understand it at all.
The service was bored and disinterested; Sicilian specialties were basically out of stock. A wet plate with wet salt packets arrived at the table without comment, along with bread and half a bottle of oil. I would have liked to order olives and a piece of pecorino, as the bread was fresh and delicious. The waiter didn't even look at us, even though we were the only guests, along with two others. A simple insalata mista for €10 consisted of a shallow dessert plate, just as shallowly filled. On top, some iceberg lettuce and some radiccio. The main course, touristy calamari fritti, was OK, but overpriced for its quantity and simplicity.
It's a shame; with more interest in the customer, some of these mistakes could have been overlooked. And we would have gladly paid extra for the dolce vita, if we had had the money!

25/04/2025: Premetto che la location è davvero suggestiva e gli osti, con il loro aspetto genuinamente siciliano, creano un’ottima prima impressione. Purtroppo, l’esperienza culinaria è stata deludente. Il menù si presenta come cucina siciliana, ma di autentico ha ben poco. L’insalata di polpo sembrava uscita da un barattolo da supermercato, il dentice era l’unico piatto accettabile ma comunque cotto male, e la pasta con le vongole era scotta e insapore. Peccato, perché il potenziale c'è.

09/02/2025: che ristorante per passare una bella serata fuori. Il proprietario mi ha accolto fin dal momento in cui ho prenotato. Il suo ristorante è molto accogliente in inverno con i riscaldamenti. Il cibo era cucinato al massimo livello e aveva tutta la scelta di cibo. E cos'è una cena senza risate e gioia? Questo è quello che abbiamo fatto dopo che ci ha presentato alcuni liquori che abbiamo apprezzato molto e ci hanno reso felici. La cosa più importante è stato un prezzo molto ragionevole. Grazie al proprietario che è stato molto attento a farci godere la serata.
13/01/2025: Prima volta e assolutamente promosso il titolare e il personale sempre sorridenti e a disposizione, ci hanno fatto sentire a casa tutto buonissimo e originale un vero posto x trascorrere la domenica

25/10/2025: Terrible experience. Even though I waited an hour after the time they indicated, the pizzolo arrived in a terrible state, half a carton missing because all the juices had leaked out. The fries were limp and everything was completely cold. Out of fairness, I paid for the fries, but the customers lost them regardless.
