29/03/2025: We went for pasta because we saw that the restaurant looked like what we were looking for at the time. To our surprise, the food was very good and the location was beautiful. Unfortunately, we got a surprise when it was time to pay. Our bill came to €47, a more than reasonable price and in line with the food. Upon checking the bill, we realized they had charged us €2.00 per person for the cover and table service, as indicated on the receipt. We don't know if it was because we were foreigners or if everyone is charged the same. We felt ripped off, as the service wasn't excellent either, given the waiter's manner toward the customer. We would go back for the food, but not for the service; it left a lot to be desired.

03/04/2025: Posto posto veramente bello con ottima attrezzatura tavoli non abbiamo mangiato ma siamo venuti a fare un preventivo penso sia la strata la titolare dove lei doveva assolutamente dirci cosa mangiare è noi dovevamo organizzare un menù per noi dico soltanto che la cortesia è all'altezza bisogna metterla da parte ed essere molto gentili con i clienti perché a noi non ci interessa chi viene prima di noi è come si comportano quindi l'altezza teniamo la Bata signora .e soprattutto non verremo da voi ad organizzare il tutto buona fortuna

26/03/2025: Location accogliente e servizio buono, ma siamo rimasti molto delusi dalla bassa qualità dei piatti. Abbiamo preso 1 antipasto di pesce buono, due spaghetti alle vongole annaquati e senza sapore e un altro primo anche questo senza senso. Spaghetti alle vongole proposti come fuori menù mi suonava strano! Infatti è stata una scorrettezza, perché nel conto abbiamo trovato il prezzo di 26€ a piatto, che per un locale fuori Palermo è assolutamente fuori mercato. La beffa è che non sapevano di niente ed erano annaquati, ma non li abbiamo rimandati indietro perché avevamo già aspettato tanto non volevamo aspettare oltre. Infine, una nota di demerito per aver accettato la tavolata lunga che ha guastato la tranquillità della sala. Un tempo questo locale si distingueva per la qualità e per il mood elegante, ma è decisamente decaduto.

20/02/2025: We came to Antica Gastronomia Spinelli quite by accident, tired after a whole day of exploring Palermo. The food was delicious, the owner was nice and helpful. Nicely presented meals, you can order half and half pizza. Our son fell in love with fries and nuggets 😉 We dined there for 3 evenings and if we ever return to Palermo, we will definitely visit this place again. Greetings from Poland!

14/01/2025: Really nice restaurant, dining under the mandarin trees and really romantic, but stop! Because the rest was really poor, they came to take the order after a quarter of an hour, and they hadn't even brought the menus, they forgot to make one pizza, and so one of us ate afterwards. Halfway through the pizza they brought us the spicy oil that we asked for three times, along with a beer that they never brought us. We had cake as a surprise, and obviously when they brought it the table still had to be cleared. Very inattentive service is too much pressure. It's not a place for me.

Russo, who shares the same surname as me, is a wonderful person, and has managed to combine character, personality, quality and good food in his restaurant. I recommend it to you. 02/02/2025: Not bad, but a bitter or a limoncello after a sumptuous dinner you expect them to offer you instead paid and even salted. This is being lousy. For this reason they have lost customers. We will not return.
