27/07/2025: On vacation nearby, we decided to find a place for dinner for two... I called and made a reservation at this osteria where the reviews already spoke for themselves. We arrived and were quickly seated. I immediately noticed a wide selection of beers and wines, which I appreciated. I decided to order a local craft beer, which I highly recommend because it's really good! We started with two appetizers (arancini and baked potatoes), followed by fresh pasta. I had the typical homemade pasta with horse meat sauce, which was EXCEPTIONAL!!! My partner had tagliolini with lobster, which was PHENOMENAL!!! The dishes were super delicious, but above all, PLENTY! You leave the table feeling full and happy! We finished it all off with sorbet and amaro. For a total of only €54!!!! I felt compelled to leave a tip because they truly deserve it!! Excellent place, top-quality food, really fair prices!! We'll definitely be back. I highly recommend this place for a dinner with excellent food, good beers, friendly waiters, generous portions, and super fair prices. If I could, I'd give it 10 stars, not just 5! Go there, you won't regret it. 👍👍👍

27/07/2025: Simply AMAZING ✨ incredible that a place like this exists! Really! TOP quality/price ratio, exquisite food (tourists would stay there for months)... everything WONDERFUL! I recommend everyone to go there, it's truly a gem! I had something off the menu (tagliolini with lobster), costing €20, and the portion they brought me was worth DOUBLE 😍✨ Go there because you'll leave full, happy, and very satisfied ♥️

03/08/2025: Super place if you are looking for Apulian food. I was there with 12 friends and we ate like royalty at a more than fair price. The staff were friendly and prepared a mix if you are staying in Porto Cesareo.

31/07/2025: Stunning location, with the interior of the restaurant featuring a classic star-vaulted style with exposed Lecce stone and perfectly balanced lighting. The outdoor space is beautiful, adorned with plants and trees. The intoxicating aromas of the food and the grilled meat fill the air, while the service is fast and precise, and the meat is excellent. Highly recommended and we'll definitely return. Ample parking is available.

31/07/2025: Good takeout pizzeria, with the option to sit inside and eat in. A convenient place to hang out with friends, family, or friends...we ate pizza by the meter... Recommended ✌️

06/07/2025: Great takeaway pizza, impeccable service The pizza is really great, with quality ingredients and perfect cooking. The service is fast and very friendly. The place is quite small and a bit noisy, but it is mainly a takeaway place, so it is completely in line with expectations. Don't come for the atmosphere, but for the quality of the food and the kindness of the staff, which are really worth the visit!

02/08/2025: I had lunch in this restaurant, for me the best in Lecce, everything was delicious from the appetizers to the dessert, not to mention the sublime pieces of horse meat cooked to perfection, said by a butcher who knows his stuff about meat, very good, keep it up 💯

31/07/2025: A real discovery in Santa Maria di Leuca! Fragrant and flavorful pucce, stuffed with the freshest ingredients. All accompanied by a warm welcome and a sincere smile. A little gem not to be missed! I recommend the Puccia Leuca or octopus 🐙. 😋

The organization was impeccable, with attentive and friendly service that made everyone feel at ease. The dishes were plentiful and of excellent quality, appreciated by all the guests. 29/05/2025: We celebrated my daughter's Confirmation and we were super satisfied both for the exquisite cuisine, with abundant and excellent quality dishes, and for the impeccable service. Simona, the owner, as always proved to be attentive to details and always present.

This time, too, to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of two of our close friends, this place made us feel a little like home. As always, we were warmly welcomed by Mr. Mino, the owner, a delightful person who manages to combine professionalism and passion, making every guest feel truly special. His attentive and discreet presence helped make the evening even more enjoyable. The setting is elegant, a renovated ancient villa, very well-kept and welcoming, perfect for unforgettable moments. The service is excellent, the staff is friendly and always available. The strictly fish-based menu fully met our expectations: tasty dishes, beautifully presented and prepared with quality ingredients. A huge thank you to all the staff. 26/07/2025: Disappointing experience, speaking only for the pizzeria—I'll never return. Villa Excelsa, despite its reputation, offered an absolutely negative experience when it came to the pizza service. We were a group of 12, and everyone—without exception—had something to say about the quality of the pizzas: sloppy preparation, toppings thrown in almost haphazardly, mediocre dough. It almost seemed as if the pizza chef was rushing, lacking care or attention. I myself ordered a Paesana with tuna and onion: it arrived significantly later than the rest of the table, when everyone else had already finished. The onion was roughly placed and completely raw, making it inedible. When asked for an explanation, I was told that the oven only holds eight pizzas. This is an unacceptable excuse for a place of this size: in many other pizzerias, priority is rightly given to bringing out the dishes at the same time for the entire table. This is a clear organizational error by the restaurant manager, who should ensure consistent and respectful service. I hope this poor service is limited to the pizzeria, but personally, I won't risk returning. Terrible service, disorganized management, and zero customer service. It's a shame, but it's an experience you'll definitely forget.
