26/09/2025: After a long time, I've been thinking about it, and I'm finally giving my overall opinion, my review, of this place. Let's start with the assumption that, as described, it's an Osteria, and therefore should be compared to other establishments in its category. Both in the distant past and more recently, I've frequented it hundreds of times, from simply enjoying a simple but excellent pizza to convivial gatherings with family, friends, and dignitaries. It has never betrayed my trust. Never. At the Osteria of Maurizio and Letizia Protopapa, people I respect for their professionalism and great availability, it feels like being at home, in the best sense of the word, with the added bonus of good, typical local cuisine that's always fresh and plentiful, regardless of whether you're a regular or a passing tourist. They make no distinction, and I've always noticed this over time. Let's start by judging their "simple" mixed fried food and long potato panzerotti as a centerpiece. It seems simple, but there's art to it. To move on, even though we rarely order them, to the mixed seafood appetizers. For my tastes, the highlight is the sagne ncannulate (a sort of fresh pasta fettuccine rolled and closed at the ends), especially served with tomato sauce and horse meat strips, and then topped with a variety of seasonal accompaniments, such as today's fresh porcini mushrooms. The main courses are varied and always plentiful, from various types of roasted meat, pieces of horse meat in tomato sauce, quality cheeses and cured meats, fried fish, and more. They offer a wide selection of wines, both mid-range and high-end. The selection of beers is equally extensive, and finally, there's a wide selection of spirits to choose from. The price is very fair for the quality and quantity of food. My heartfelt compliments to Maurizio and Letizia, as well as to the kitchen staff, Salvatore and Antonio.

Marina with kindness, intelligence and great humanity reassured us and in a few minutes she found the best solution made to the top for us... a precious help... an angel.... Sara also served us with professionalism despite the Saturday evening with the place packed with people.... Marina and Sara are two excellent points of reference fundamental for customers.... we extend a huge thank you to them.... yesterday we ate an excellent grilled roast meat with delicious appetizers... this evening we enjoyed two extremely good pizzas... a heartfelt applause goes to the pizza chef and all the staff who work behind the scenes... you are all worthy of an Oscar award... we wish you great satisfaction and success and all the best... we greet you with affection and again thank you very much for everything.... 03/09/2025: This morning we were passing through Galatina, and someone recommended Caffè del Corso for breakfast, and I must say we found some excellent krapfen accompanied by a delicious espresso. I recommend stopping by. The service and cleanliness were top notch.

03/08/2025: We stopped by chance, but it was a pleasant dinner... we waited a bit, but it was due to the lack of staff, which the owner immediately clarified, but it was pleasantly rewarded by the good pizza and the courtesy of the staff. We will definitely be back!

Italy) In Tricase, saying a pizza place isn’t the best is like saying your Ferrari isn’t the fastest, it’s still a Ferrari. Pizzeria Da Luigi serves up a solid, delicious, can’t-go-wrong kind of pizza. Maybe it's not the single best slice in town, but honestly? That’s like ranking Michelangelo’s sculptures, some preferences are just personal. The crust is crispy, the ingredients are fresh, and the vibe is proper local. You leave satisfied, full, and wondering if you’re just a little too spoiled by Italy. If this exact pizza landed anywhere else in the world, they’d crown Luigi emperor and name a national holiday after him. But in Tricase? It’s just Tuesday.

02/09/2025: What brought us here? The smell of grilled meat, which was incredibly good. The wine was also good! The courtyard is very pleasant to sit in. Service: A nice older lady, patient, friendly and helpful. The pizza was excellent. Highly recommended!
