30/08/2025: I need to catch up on yet another review that's been lost for some unknown reason, especially here, which is a must-see for anyone who knows and lives in this area. Ponte Milvio used to be three things: the market (first on the left of the square, then where the parking lot is now, and finally indoors where it is today), Pallotta's for pizza at dinner, and Gianfornaio. Period: three pillars. But that was the Gianfornaio located on the square, on the corner of Via Flaminia... where you'd find ladies in fur coats queuing like housewives... one of the best bakeries in the entire capital. Now Gianfornaio is a brand and you can find it in branches just about everywhere, but it's not the same. The quality of the baked goods has remained medium-high, but the selection has obviously expanded in a location that has made nightlife its cornerstone, and competition has multiplied dramatically. This place is a go-to for many offices in the area, and has therefore also specialized in lunch breaks, although it struggles to handle the sometimes very hefty crowds (for example, for SNA courses or other events). Service is fairly quick and friendly (the weak point remains the cash register, but this is a bit of a constant in Rome), the prices are not low but fairly in line with the local area, and the overall experience remains positive, especially the breakfast portion. I'm a bit nostalgic for the original formula and feel that this aperitivo craze has ruined the typical local dining experience, but Gianfornaio—at least this—remains a resource for those who come here. And let's hope it puts a stop to this globalization that has impoverished what may be an ancient but tried-and-tested formula. Need help? 23/01/2025: Thursday evening, only 3 tables (11 people total). We waited over 1.5 hours for terrible food. The service was also poor: not even two breadsticks while we waited. Now I understand why it's always empty.

23/06/2025: Mi ricordo tanti anni fa agli esordi il cartoccio costava 7,00€ poi salito negli anni gradualmente per passare a 14,00€ e considerando anche le bibite è un bel salasso!! per quanto gustosa possa essere è sempre una frittura di calamari. Mi dispiace privarmene ma sarà una scelta obbligata non lo ritengo un posto per le mie tasche.

20/06/2025: Oggi 20 giugno 2025 ho avuto il piacere di pranzare in questo ristorante e sono rimasto letteralmente stregato dal piatto suggerito dal titolare: tonnarelli amatriciani con polpo e pecorino....e chi li molla più, oltretutto uno più gentile dell'altro....ottimo!!!

02/10/2025: Well, it's not typical Italian food. A lot of it was fried. The pizza was okay, but nothing more. A lot of the appetizers were fried. My tagliarelle dish tasted good but the portions were manageable and simply served.

30/09/2025: Squalid place. Even though we had a reservation for 9:30 PM, they seated us at 10:45 PM, and the waiter even snorted. Very rude! Plus, the food was awful. We'll never go back!

11/05/2025: Tutto buonissimo, qualità ottima, però non si può aspettare più di un'ora fra antipasti e pizze, mentre i cartoni del delivero uscivano a ripetizione. Senza contare le dimenticanze sulle comande (mancava una pizza, acqua che non arriva). Peccato.

11/05/2025: Siamo andati con grandi aspettative. Il posto è ottimo, su via andrea Doria ma sopraelevato rispetto alla strada. Ci siamo seduti alle 19,50 e abbiamo ordinato quasi subito. La pizza è arrivata alle 21,10. Fredda e mal cotta. 50 minuti dopo aver ordinato mi dicono che la burrata è finita e se non mi dispiace la sostituiscono con mozzarella di bufala, dico che non c'è problema. È arrivata la pizza con sopra delle ciliegine tagliate a metà che non erano affatto di bufala....insomma una vera bufala....mai più.

12/08/2025: The most charming bar I've ever seen... I entered by chance and never again... everything stained and dirty, even the smell makes you want to vomit... strange how the ASL and NAS haven't discovered this place.....

28/07/2025: Io melanzane così non le ho mai mangiate...dico solo questo. Eccellente rapporto qualità prezzo anzi ad essere sinceri un tramezzino ed una peroni 66 = 5.20 €. Ma non ho da dire altro sul tramezzino melanzane e salame piccante ( e che salame ! ) da PAURA !!

08/10/2025: We sat down because there was a free spot. Then we saw the reviews and were a little scared, but they must have learned their lesson 😊 The service was great, the pizza was delicious. The people next to us got a panini and it looked really good too, but after the pizza, we couldn't have eaten any more 😅 Nice place with a view of the Colosseum.

23/08/2025: Nice restaurant near the Colosseum, friendly staff. The pizzas were good, the ambiance and price were OK – overall, highly recommended.

29/06/2025: Un posto per i turisti come mezza italiana sono stata molto delusa. Il tiramisù con panna invece di mascarpone. Il caprese la mozzarella quelli più duri per la pizza, insalata Cesare il pollo durissimo. La pasta poca pasta. Mai più!
