I strongly advise against it!

You might be wondering what fregnaquanti are: they're thin egg tagliolini, a specialty of Segni.
They can be seasoned in any way:
Clams, porcini mushrooms, porcini mushrooms and clams, garlic, oil, and chili pepper, with butter, with sauce like the women of Segni used to make...
Generous portions.
But Scroccarocco isn't just fregnaquanti; the menu is full of delicacies, including desserts featuring the famous zozzamucco.
I recommend booking regardless of the day, and I'll end with the usual motto: try it and believe it.

01/01/2026: A nice old man makes the pizzas. Since he is alone, the waiting time can be longer. But it is worth it, it is very delicious and unique. The man is nice and based on the pictures on display, it is clear that he did not start today. :) You can choose any flavor, he will not disappoint.

They have regular pizzas but also some called "pinsas" that are longer fermented and made with rice flour, and they were delicious! We tried the daily special, which was fettuccine with duck, and it was also wonderful. The quality-price ratio is very, very good, the waiters were very friendly (even though we don't speak Italian, they spoke to us in English), and the place is very clean and nice. Highly recommended!

Thanks for the explanation of the various options and the interesting facts about their products, as well as for the excellent product.
15/12/2025: I met it by chance with a friend years ago, and I've never left. I've often gone alone to enjoy an excellent yogurt and chat with Stefano and Emiliano, the owners, wonderful and super helpful people. From the first time we visited, when we were a bunch of blind people, they had the patience to describe all their products to us in detail. The yogurt, both plain and dark, is also suitable for those who are lactose intolerant (the dark one, which closely resembles dark chocolate, is also suitable for vegans). It can be garnished with a wide variety of toppings, sauces, syrups, and fresh fruit, all delicious.

04/01/2026: A truly delightful restaurant in the heart of Trastevere. A welcoming, quiet, and refined atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a relaxing dinner.
We had pasta, and it was truly excellent: well-prepared dishes, authentic flavors, and quality ingredients.
The staff was friendly, helpful, and never rude, which is not a given in highly touristy areas.
A place I absolutely recommend if you want to eat well and spend a lovely evening in Rome.
